@dedenamik did you get a one birder? or maybe entered this 94,770 on the wrong level perhaps?
any tips?
Kathy, it is 2 birds and this level. I played just like the video, but I aimed first bird a bit higher than the video. I remember that in addition to the upper pigs, two lower single pigs were popped. So I used the second bird more easily and many of the snowballs behind were split. This is all I remember. After reading you message I just tried to replay but no success. Something else must have happened, but really I do not remember. Ah! I think, after I split the second bird, the upper bird (or right hand bird) touched the upper big stone and sent it to the remaining upper debris. Probably this is the reason of the high score. I am sorry but there are no special tips I can mention.
@kathy, like @dedenamik, I had pretty good destruction with 1st bird. In my case only bottom left bubble pig on cart remained & my score was 61800. I went under gravity field to ensure I’d get the pesky piggie so I had no chance of sending upper stone to debris.
1st shot to middle of bottom stone. You want the stone to hit the icestoid. This should take out bottom two pigs.
2nd shot just to the left of the big icestoid. Activate blue bird right before icestoid. One of the birds should take out three pigs in the top bubble. Icestoid should bump against top triangle and break apart. The small icestoids should clear the rest of the level.
Great strat @carmen5912. Like Ma before me, I just got better action out of those icesteroids.
I followed the same strategy but on the second shot split early so that the left blue bird gets caught in the gravity, swung left and pushed the big rock into the bubble with the three pigs. It then continued on and activated lots of icestroids in the bottom left. Lots of damage points.
Same strategy as @carman5912 with the following qualification
1st shot to middle of second from bottom stone ( there is a small stone nestling in the snow flake below and to the left ) I am sure that is what @carman5912 meant to say.
2nd shot as described by @carman5912
Thanks for sharing
96520 with three birds! First two as described by @carman5912 and @ollygod . Lots of fun destruction with the exploding icestoids, but bottom single pig remained to be taken out with bird #3.
oh sorry @ollygod lol that’s what you Did say to hit that big stone i need to read slower. sorry bout’ the sherriff :/
Thanks for the strat @carman5912 and @ollygod I did not go for that little stone in the snowflake but the larger one. everthing else the same :)
@Kathy @carman5912 I find that if I hit the larger stone on shot 1 directly or at 3:00 (in the middle) it doesn’t carry through to the helmeted piggy, I hit it with a nearly tangential blow where my aim point is through the tip of the triangle and on the tip of the snowflake protrusion behind.
Now to work on bird 2! Of course I just got 85 trying to describe my aim point and using @figsy75 shot so higher scores are coming.
Good luck @knichy see your off to a good start;)
thanks @Kathy, found the bloated pig and may join discussion in re PUs (PU I HATE em)
@ least I puled it above avg, gotta move on and clear a few more levels before my daily missions reset so I can get the next brass hogs level. I didn’t realize about the daily missions unlocking brass hogs levels until I got there or I would have been doing them all along. Oh well.
Glad I could help
Red bird on top of stone, instead of under stone, gives more destruction.
I realize that I did not post a top score proof nor gave the details of my strat. This is all the more unfortunate that this is definiety one of my favourite one.
To make it short, it is an elaboration over @carman5912‘s strat above, but the devil is in the details.
To make it not so short: 1st shot it a super high precision shot, 2nd shot requires very high precision timing (without much time to aim, I should add). Whether or not such strat was envisioned by the level designer remains to be seen, but I would bet that the answer is yes.
1st shot: aim Red toward left middle-sized rock, which then goes towards 10:00 and continues in this direction. The first trick arises now: you want this rock to pop the nearby pig’s bubble really on its edge so that it is NOT deflected, so that the rock keeps on moving, crosses the ice chain, avoiding its triangular base (this is the hard part, a tiny deflection prevents this to happen), pops the nearby iceroid, gently bounces on snow triangle and drifts toward leftmost iceroid (without reaching it, unfortunately). In the meantime, the three pigs’ bubble should pop and one small iceroid will push large rock into central planet gravitational field. If you succeed this, you should get a respectable 38k like in this picture (don’t care yet about the orange lines):
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sglouk/album/picture/28416/
Popping the bubble without deflectig the rock is a super high precision shot, but that’s only the first difficulty of the level. The hard part (or, at least, the trickiest one) comes next.
In the picture, you see that the middle-sized rock did not went far enough to hit the now nearby leftmost iceroid, which is unfortunate because you need this to happen for 110k+ scores.
2nd shot: again per @carman5912. Central birdlet must (barely) miss big then medium iceoroid, only right birdlet hits large iceroid which crashes near snow triangle. From time ot time the ensuing chain reaction pops the iceroid next to Hector. When this happens, a small ejected iceroid goes toward 7:00 and pops another midium-sized iceroid (the rightmost one of the group of four on the left, of which only two remain at this stage). Then a small iceroid goes to the left, but unfortunaltely it does not go into the correct direction of pop the leftmost medium-sized iceroid (the one the rock of 1st shot could not pop either).
And here comes the magic. IF you perform 2nd shot at the right moment (i.e., a split of a second after 1st soht’s rock popped the first bubble), THEN the above-mentioned iceroid deflects that rock and gives it an extra momentum (as well as a welcome change of direction) that allows it to pop the leftmost iceroid. Then 100% of the time an ejected small iceroid pops the iceroid at 1:30 wrt to the hardly popped iceroid. If you are confused, just look at the above picture lines (the chain reaction proceeds clockwise).
At this stage, you easily get 107-108k as in this picture:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sglouk/album/picture/28417/
(Note the significantly different position of middle-sized rock which did most of the job twice.)
Then, once in a blue moon, the initial chain reaction of 2nd shot destroys one of (rarely) or (even more rarely) the two remianing iceroids in the upper left quadrant of the screen. Rejoice, you may reach 115k, as well as a well-deserved puppy. Be warned, it won’t be easy, though. At what extent this last part of the chain reaction can be made happen on a regular basis is unknown to me. Given the short amount of time you have for 2nd shot, my current bet regarding this issue is no, but who knows.
106250/2
thx to @carman6912 and @sglouk for the strat, details and pictures.
can´t hit the bubble with my first bird
