1 birder. I aimed similarish to the video, but just to the right of the lower steam nozzle. The bird nudged the 2 triangular concrete blocks under the middle pig, sending that lot into the right hand gravity field and clearing that side. Meanwhile the bird slowly drifted up into the top steam and was deflected down to take out the thin pipework and left hand bird.

Simple! Of course I cannot reproduce the shot…

Thanks @bikkit! I had tried similar shot before but never with a good result. After reading your comment, it took only 3 shots to get it right for 67k and then a dozen more for current top 77k.

Thanks @bikkit. I put red to the right half of the lower steam nozzle (not past it) to get the 1-birder. Pretty easy shot when zoomed all the way in.

@bikkit Thanks for the strategy. I was only able to get it to work the very first time I tried it (using a slowed down RB, thanks to @kathy for that tip), but once was enough.

I managed to destroy the fort on the right with just one bird (Red) by watching the “dots” that appear as you are pulling back the slingshot: aim at the top vent (air thing that changes trajectory) BUT don’t shoot yet, try to find the place where the dots transition from curved to straight, in this case, you want to choose the curved part rather than the straight (in other words: go to where the dotted line stop curving and “turn” into a straight line), since that’s is where the “sweet spot” is, then, fire!

*its OK if you don’t understand how to do this

P.S. has anybody noticed that Red has the ability to make pigs jump? (just go by a pig and tap)

Hello @rowdypup and @kathy! Might either of you be able to offer some clarification on this strategy? Particularly regarding the “top vent”? I took this to mean the one located at the top of the screen, but perhaps it is the one on the bottom of the first planet? I’m lost… lol

Hi @rubeeinthesky :) Yes the Vent at the top of the screen, if you hit it just right you can do a lot of damage to the fort on the planet. but then you still need to use a second bird for the rest.
I ended up with a One birder by following @bikkit strat above though. kinda like the video and i played with the speed of the bird flinging slightly under full power . you dont want to go Too too far right i found better luck just a slight bit right of center ohh that would be the vent on the top of the lower planet as in the video. hope that makes sense;) good luck!

SPACE EAGLE / TOTAL DESTRUCTION
(this took me some time, and wasting sardine cans is not good in ABspace, so I just thought this might be useful for others struggling with this level, just like me):

– first: shoot a sardine can aiming at middle of top vent (top of the screen); should take care of the “fort on the right planet” (or most of it)
– second: shoot another sardine can as per @bikkit aiming point (so that “middle” vent pushes it to just to the right of the lower vent) and trigger when next to the 2 triangular concrete blocks under the middle pig
– third & fourth: don’t shoot them, bonus points

Perhaps not the best strat, but better to use just 2 cans than wasting a number of them trying to get 100% with a single one… Hope this helps until mighty eagle videos can be uploaded for brass hogs ;)

Looking at my comment 4 years ago I was tempted to think that this challenge was going to be ‘a walk in the park’. Well, it was anything but. For several hours I just couldn’t beat my old score and was quite ready to give up when it all finally came together. Not only did I beat my old score but actually exceeded 80k for a puppy with some margin. And it was of course with the same old @bikkit strat:

I could hardly imagine ever beating ‘the usual suspects’ to the firstborn puppy of any given year let alone it happening the same weekend the Finnish U20 ice hockey team beat USA in the final of world champs.

Oh, I have such a good feeling about this year – in more ways than one ;-)

Followed an approximation of @comex666 video. Thanks Michael. Every so often and it’s really not often at all, you will get a good collapse in the upper right which is what’s needed to get a decent score. The very same launch point gives varied results. For those on BlueStacks I have used a tapspot at x= 29.47 and y= 52.01. RNG! 😁

Meant to say that on BS using this tapspot will finish the level every time with a score normally between 68-72k.
