Our strategy for Angry Birds Angry Birds Space Beak Impact level 8-5 is to send the Red bird towards the bottom two boulders to clear the way. Then send the Ice bird into the middle boulder, and trigger his power upon impact. The strategy shown yields a score of 63,250.

This is a tough level for me anyway. .I tried a couple different things but then followed the video for my current score..thanks e-star ;)

Key in this level is that the south east portion explodes again – triggered by the ice – as in the video. This happens in about 1 on 20 retries. So keep on restarting this level.

Was just about to post: Just like ABN on iPad for 64060, but can’t get close to that on Android phone .. stuck at under 62k because as @bernersenn wrote, the bottom far right asteroid must explode for a chance at a decent score …. then managed to happen on Android phone for 63730. I didn’t better my iPad 64k, but for now I’ll take it & move on

Same basic approach as the video. But play with the speeds and angles. A pixel here or there. Different speeds. They all make drastic differences.

Thanks @rat9 the adjustment of speed and angle definitely make a difference. .I’m not sure what you adjusted but for me adjusted the speed of the first bird so as not to hit the boulder to far .. ice bird I threw at full speed and just like the video:)

Very same method as @rat9 similar to video but adjusted speed and angles. So far on the first five levels I’ve done a bit of that. Also been using full screen to help with adjustment of speeds.

I zoomed in and checked where the aiming dots ended on the video clip and the points of impact then went from there. It still took a long, long time before it all came together, so long in fact I was totally over it and about to move on, but eventually it happened. Patience is not one of my virtues so I guess that’s why I don’t have any of the top score positions.

#1 Like the video, but half power. You don’t want the punted asteroid to go behind the one just above it. You also want to get Red out of the way if possible. On PC fully-zoomed in there is a big dim star in front of the asteroid you’ll hit. Aim right through it. If the star’s not there on your platform, aim so when Red bounces off, he hits the V-shaped crevice in the asteroid below.

#2 Same as video, but lower, you want to skim the asteroid between 6:00 and 7:00. If the asteroid is in the right spot, the explosion sets off all the upper asteroids, Ice Bird passes through the bubble with the three stones, then into the lower pig ship, exploding the asteroid behind it. Other icy debris usually explodes the lower left asteroid, too.

I can get 60k regularly with this, so I think higher scores are possible.

Also, has anyone noticed the free-floating ice cube at 4:00 from the sling? On a few Beak2 levels, an oddly-placed ice cube is a hint on where to aim. If you aim Red through it, it does take out the bottom right pig, so there may be a missed strategy hiding in plain sight.

Here’s an easier strategy with 63k+ possibilities.

#1 – Fire full power at the same asteroid as the walkthrough. (The one in front of and slightly below the sling) Notice the flat section between the crack and the triangular point below it. Aim anywhere between the crack and that point and it works. Just don’t aim so low you hit the slope under that point.

Red punts the asteroid through the bubble with 3 stones. If your angle is right, Red bounces to the upper left, just missing the asteroid above the one you hit. Let the punted asteroid come to rest.

#2 Aim at the asteroid above the one you just hit. You want to skim it, so zoom in and aim a hair below the bottom. Ice bird skips off this asteroid, setting off the top ones, then continues down to the punted asteroid, very frequently exploding everything else. Normal scores are 56-61k but the real points are all up to lucky debris strikes.

I did the first shot like the video. For the second, I went for the lower stone cluster. The ice bird bounced and froze the upper cluster, too. The explosions were great. :-) And yes, the bounce is repeatable.

Just like the walkthrough except an ice crystal finally flew into the boulder group attached to the right pig to explode it. Didn’t see where it came from as everything happened so fast. Just a few pieces of ice crystal left.

Yeah, I’ll probably have to come back to this one at some point. Frustrating that the same exact shots produce totally different results each time.
