One strategy for Year of the Dragon level 1-13 is to fire the first Yellow bird into the middle structure, through the yellow block and hollow wooden block behind it. This should at least clear the entire left side, but in some cases most of the right. Use the Blue bird to clear any remaining pigs on the right side. The score in the video below is 126,850.

I used yellow bird aimed slightly less than horizontal to take out TNT directly in the lower left first structure. Tap quickly after release for best results. This creates a big open space and leaves a clear path for the blue birdlets to attack glass blocks on the right side. If you don’t pop all the remaining pigs with your second bird, the yellow bird is perfect for those pinpoint targets farther away. Aloha.

132240, 3 birds. Shoot yb (dont shoot too high / less curve / seemingly straight) & tap the screen pretty much immediately to give it more power boost; the further the more power to give you massive collateral damage. With the bb, i aimed to kill the last pig but was unsuccessful nonetheless created more damages on buildings instead ;) Third bird finish off. good luck.

Got it with one bird, yellow straight into top stone ball. This started a chain reaction, right side swayed and fell. The stone ball slid down the center and pushed the horizontal stones to the left, crashed through and hit tnt. Not the highest score, but it was neat to see.

Not one of my better levels, but I’ll try to help you :) I use surfcows method, but that first shot isn’t easy. His tip of boosting early provides slightly better chances! The blue birds should then be split close to the glass for best results, and potential two birder. You can clear up using the third bird, but it will lead to a lower score. I have 130k, so best of luck :)

Ty laurence…and surfcow..finally 126250, not average but 3 stars and better than what I had. I had been trying that method just couldn’t get It right,was doing the bb 2 early. Got it with 2. Birds:) you just saved my sanity. Lol ty:) and good night birdies :)

140k. I didn’t have much success with surfcow’s strat so I’ve been working on sending the first bird through the wood block in the middle. For a high score, the left side should collapse and the tnt should blow. If not then start over. Also, most of the right side should collapse. For my 140k all that was left were the two pigs just above the far right dirt mound along with some glass and concrete blocks. I shot the blue bird high to get these pigs as well as a few of the glass blocks.

I found this approach to be much easier than Surfcow’s technique. It is important to break both wooden blocks with the YB in order for the large stone ball to detonate the TNT. Even with a good first shot the left side only clears 1 in 10 times.

Thanks @dark-cloud for the posting. Used the same strategy and it eventually worked on getting an above average score which was a challenge on this level. Also getting the far right two pigs with the blues was inconsistent with the same shot. This level was a challenge in the Year of the Dragon series.

I am coming to this so late. You all killed these levels months ago. That said, this is the only level in yotd where I have been unable to three star. Most of them with the help of this wOnderful site and all your great advice. But this has me beat! Will keep trying. And trying…….

At my revisit I took out all the piggies with 2 birds. Same as the video on top, just got lucky with my second bird.

And back for the third time I upped my score with another 5k. Got a score of 143190 now by flinging Yellow bird into yellow block of the middle structure, making sure the lefts side is completely gone, only the right side still standing. With a lot of luck and perseverance the blues will take out the remaining piggies and push over the right side as well for extra debris points.

Well, it took me over 200 attempts to just raise my old score by 6k+.
I did it just like the video until I got 102k with the first bird, and the rest with the second and 2 bonus birds. This is one of those levels that you must rinse and repeat over and over and over again until satisfied, or at the very least raise the score a bit. Happy Hunting!

this is a level where i had to check i didn’t enter in the wrong score days ago…. can’t remember at all what i did and I couldn’t get very close to average even in the 30 or so attepts i took at it this time around –…. maybe in the next 80 minutes :)

Just gonna keep trying @e-star latest video and hope i get lucky
I’m flinging pretty much at a flat angle, boosting halfway to go through the gold block in the middle on through to the worden square and then praying for a good fall and that the tnt blows, the right side falls and there’s no wood left in front of the Glass so I’ll have a clear shot with blues :/ the best i can do and R&R
Wondering if the higher scores were one birders?

@kathy I believe this was with 2 birds. If it was a 1-birder I think I’d remember. Just keep following the e-star video, that seems to be the way to go. You can definitely get more points on the first shot (>80k) so I guess that’s where the difference comes from, but to combine it with a good second shot is tough.

Brief analysis of highscore schemes for this level:

1) Hit the TNT directly with Chuck, by @surfcow. Seems straightforward, but it’s a very difficult shot. What’s worse, the explosion could shake off some wood debris in front of the glass blocks, rendering the second shot ineffective, if not useless. (Y’all know how weak the Blues work on wood.) Also, judging by the comments here, the best score possible for this scheme is 132-134k. Not a good mix with a beat-your-score challenge.

2) Attack the middle and hope for the debris to ignite the TNT, by the video on top (courtesy of @fujitoast) and @e-star. The advantage of this scheme over the previous one is that, unless you blow it real hard, the glass blocks at the right will be well exposed, making the second shot much easier. Nevertheless, you’ll need a large amount of the L-factor, because the debris seldom falls onto the TNT. I’ve only ignited the TNT for about 5 times over the course of 1 hour before hitting the new high score. (The rightmost pillar falling over on the first shot helped too.) I still needed a third shot to close it out, though. :P

I tried to do number 2, and after a lot of tries i got a 3-bird clear that would’ve been a 2-bird if i was luckier. Currently below-average at 130860, but i’ll try for at least a 132k.
