Angry Birds Seasons Wreck the Halls Level 1-3 Walkthrough

The best strategy for Wreck the Halls level 3 is to fire the first Red bird just above the top-left ice block. At the least, 3 of the top snow blocks should be destroyed and the stones should fall all the way to the ground. Fire the next Red bird very slightly higher, causing more stone to fall and all pigs should be popped except for the far-right. Fire the White Bird very slightly lower than the previous bird, timing its bomb drop such that the bird ricochets through both top snow blocks, causing both piles of stone to fall. The score in the video below is 96,610

A tangential observation:

Last year, when I awoke on the East Coast of the U.S., I’d try my best kn the daily level and then head to ABnest.com and I’d be lucky to see a few posts on the daily walkthru… Maybe half a dozen, depending on the level. Same with the advent style summer episode. Anyone remember @Joe? I loved that guy! Of course now we have @marc987… But my point is:

This time around… Now… I’ve woken up to over a dozen posts /comments on each level. It is an emphatic, quantitative testiment to the angrybirdsnest.com admin team that speaks louder than any thank you I could provide.

Isn’t joe the one who always seemed to come up with very unique techniques? He often got comments suggesting he was making scores up, but he always came up with new and interesting things to try. I miss having him around.

Agreed that the team keeps this place running so smoothly, makes it an enjoyable place to compete and share.

For those of you that used two birds: what on earth are you doing with that second bird?! Even after a particularly successful first bird, there is still at least part of the middle top structure, and the whole right structure. Generally with a red bird, at most that center top can be brought down, I still can’t figure out how taking down the right side is possible with the same bird. The middle structure is in the way of taking out the snow beneath the stone blocks which is the only real way to take that side down with a single bird.

That’s what I was wondering too… been trying for a long time and haven’t had much luck with the first bird, but when i do… my second bird doesn’t destruct the rest. I always need my third bird… so hoping to read the answer soon… going cookoo here :)

If it makes you feel any better, the scores with three birds are comparable to those claimed with two birds, so it seems like any point bonus that is going to be gained by leaving a bird is made up for by the additional destruction done by the white bird.

I’ve got up to 101k using three birds, not too far from the highest ones posted.

I wondered the same thing liz. I can only get a red bird to take out 3 maybe 4 snow blocks at most before it runs out of steam, and thee level spans about 11 snow blocks.
I have taken out 75% of the level with 2 birds but have always needed the white bomber to take out the far right and present etc. Some extremely fortunate concrete fall out may assist but I don’t think I will ever be able to complete a 2-bird finish on this level?

In case anyone is curious after the discussion about the multiplying TNT blocks, and the eventual discovery that it seemed breaking all four bells is what made it happen:

Breaking the big bell before exploding the TNT does NOT make the TNT multiply.

I didn’t really think it would but it was worth experimentation. I’m still eagerly awaiting another level with the tiny bells so we can see if it still happens.

100k with all four birds,have had a couple of three birders, but they haven’t done the collateral that is needed for top scores. I’d say potential maximum about 112k with three birds. I can’t see a two birdwr doing enough damage to get higher than that, but potentially 120k is possible :)

Played this over 300 times today and never close to a 2 birder. Just not enough damage. 104k with 3, so could see a possible 115+ with 3, but 2 seems very tough to get any meaningful points

has anyone been successful in getting total destruction with the mighty eagle on this level? the best i’ve got it 90% so far. if you have, what’s the secret?

I took out most of the bottom of the left column with the red birds (do not bring the structure down), then used the white bird to destroy stuff on the ground in the middle of the structure. Then, lob the sardine tin on top of the left column that’s still floating in the air. The ME should then get everything else.

I have 101,540 which is total destruction using three birds. The high score posted is 109k, which would seem to require total destruction using two birds. I don’t see any way to achieve total destruction using just the two red birds. Could someone explain how this might be achieved?

109k is possible from 3 birds, I have 100k from four birds, so three birds with high collateral will get you that score :)

3 or 4 birds it doesn,t matter with right placement score in excess of a hundred can be reached The closest I’ve come to a 2 birded was when the rocks on the second pile fell toward the middle but it still left to much to get a clear red bird to the final tower.

I used the same method as the video on top and my video from 2011 on my revisit, but got lucky this time. I shot the first red bird underneath the stone blocks, but it toppled to the right, taking down the second set of stone blocks as well. Because of this, the second red could take out more snow blocks from the centre of the structure, leaving only right side standing. White bird finished off and took everything (the stone blocks and the present) with it. I got a score of 108210.

Same 1st 2 shots as you used. On the 2nd shot it really helps to take out the hanging red ornament & it’s string, they like to get in the way of the 3rd shot.

I used a slightly different 3rd. When I scored 109k the bottom left helmet pig survived the first shot as he likes to do. His hat was knocked off but that’s all. Aimed Matilda slightly down, dropped the egg on the stones beside him then ricocheted into the snow under the stone blocks on the right.

110090/3 with that 3rd for the daily challenge. in this case had 61k after the 2nd with 2 pigs still alive, but didn’t have such a good 3rd as in e-star’s video, so a few k more in it (had several 108k and a 109k score before this one). was shooting the 2nd always when there was a path without stones to go just underneath the top-middle pig, even if the left structure didn’t collapse after the 1st (got one of the 108k scores this way).

@karen68 & @MG516 always creates a smile on my face to see my videos are still of use and loved. My iPad is currently unable to record and therefor I am way behind on my videos. Waiting eagerly on the new jailbreak for the sole purpose of recording, sigh…

And @mg516 thank for those words, you have no idea what it means to me!! I have had a difficult year and it feels like my light isn’t reaching as far as it used to be, but seeing you comment makes me believe that even though I am not around as much as I used to, my light still shines on my fellow flingers and friends.

110890 with the E-star strategy, but with the egg dropped on the left. I always chose to drop it on the left, the idea being that the debris on the right can also be destroyed by the falling stones. Or maybe that’s complete nonsense and it doesn’t make a difference.

As for bombing on the left, I just know that the 4 stones are bringing more points than what’s left on the right.

I used the ABN video for this level using three birds. Was able to obtain good destruction on the right side with the white bird. Also had good destruction with the two red birds and the stones falling.
