Our strategy for Summer Pignic level 26 is a nifty one-bird clear. Loft the Yellow bird into the left leg of the top-right tower. It is important to only break the left support, so do not trigger the speed boost. This will cause the tower to fall to the left and topple the main structure below, popping all pigs inside. The score in the video below is 137,200.

I use the caveman method, yellow bird in bottom post an red bird at 45 degrees 120+k. I wonder how to get to grass on underside of platform?

Just use the yellow bird withoit boost. No need to take out front first. It takes more tries but yeilds highest scores.

David, I know that method, and used it to get 140 already. The moderators, though, have asked everyone to post methods with scores–that’s why I was asked TaBe.

There’s a leaderboard where people can post scores, and it’s helpful on the walkthrough for people to give advice about how they achieved a particular score.

147k using same method. Cant seem to get 150k but chalk it up to luck.130k is more common using 1 bird without boost. If you use 2 you can make 3 stars every time. I cant seem to make 150 but believe it is possible. Beyond that I dont think much more is possible.

1 bird 143,710. I don’t know if it was pure luck. Aim yellow bird at tower on the far right it toppled over and the stones fell to the left and pushed the rest to the left. I’ve been trying to do it again. I think I hit the stone square on the right tower, and that triggered everything.

Same method. You have to hit the vertical post just above the square block.
I got 130730, but with a lucky shot, I think I could get much higher.

I got a similar score that way, but I aim for the stone block directly below the pig. It still requires luck to get it just right, but I expect to see posted scores on this level of 150+.

I probably hit where you suggest. I managed this score when I was trying out different methods and didn’t really pay attention to where I was aiming. I managed the same method a few times but not with the same result. The trick is to get to the flowers on the far right and in between the hills.

And I agree, scores over 150k is to be expected.

Im beginning to believe. I got 147k using your method and still saw 1 3000point flower. Ah greed. Ill probably forget it tommorow when I get a level I can barely 3 star.

122,340 two birds. Yellow bird takes the tower to the left. Red bird go high and takes the small tower at the top to the right. It falls left and all goes down.

I did within a couple hundred points but it was not easy to get over 140k again so I started boosting the yellow bird into the back tower breaking just the bottom of the lowest wood support. You cant break the one behind it though. So with a boosted bird I got 145k the second time. I dont get it, Joes method is a good one but I couldnt score 147 again with it. If you boost the bird into the bottom of that first post without breaking the one behind it, you should get in the 130s every time you can make the shot because it sends material back even faster. Using all of that yellow birds power might be harder but might result in higher scores for some. Expect it not to be easy.

Morning, everyone.

*sighs dramatically* Oh, no, not another I-did-it-with-only-one-bird level.

147,670 using only one bird. So easy, anyone can do it, even brainless Frankenstein can do it.

Bird #1 (Yellow Rocket): WITHOUT tapping the screen for boost, simply aim the yellow bird for the vertical wooden supports in the middle of two concrete blocks on the lower part of the tower on very far upper right on top of the tallest black diagonal platform (whoa, long and detailed description). Once you destroy the wooden supports, the concrete block (that was supported by the now gone wooden blocks) will stumble to the left along with most of the tower, pushing everything to the left via domino effect, killing all pigs. A blue flower in an open space between the ground and diagonal black platform will be destroyed in the process. One or more of the debris will also fall into the shallow open space between two diagonal black platforms to destroy two flowers. Another wooden support and one or more of the debris will also stumble to right off the tallest diagonal platform to roll downhill to destroy the last remaining two flowers. If done correctly, there should be barely anything left with no pigs and flowers.

Note to iPad and iPad 2 users: Zoom out the screen. Use your finger to click and drag the armed slingshot, while holding, move your finger to the very lower left corner of the screen, and then release to shoot the bird. 95% of the time you’ll finish the level with only one bird using this technique.

Bird #2 (Red Midget): 10,000 points bonus if done correctly.

Bird #3 (Red Midget): 10,000 points bonus if done correctly.

Bird #4 (Red Midget): 10,000 points bonus if done correctly.

Note: No golden egg found in this level.

Yo Joe , like your comments, im doin the Same technique as you but it wont reach That score you have mine is 138850 i guess its all about luck to demolish the flowers ive reached this score now multiple times.

The no boost part was a good find, congrats on that !

I tried the zoom out thing as a curiosity (iPad1), it gives me reliable destruction of everything but some of the flowers remain (so 135-6ish scores) as only the right wooden support will fall to the right this way.

I’m trying variations on this (with a slightly less curvy trajectory) right now, you can actually get the yellow bird to go through and destroy the 2 flowers although I may be on the wrong track on this one.

Within almost every highscore strategy lies a large degree of luck. I could get a huge score, tell you exactly how I did it and you wouldn’t get anywhere close. Give Joe’s strategy a try if you like, but if you find it’s not working for you just move on and try one of the other strategies.

Just a general reminder to people to leave your strategies in addition to your scores. The more alternative strategies we offer the better it is for everyone.

I have an htc aria and managed very close to Joes score using his method of not boosting the bird. I couldnt replicate it so I boosted the bird making sure not break the back post then I got 145k. I think the nests posts helps everyones score from one persons may be inspiring someone else to figure something else out.

I still cant get 150k so a tablet may help but I doubt it.

I think that it is a ‘luck’ thing. I tried a few different things but after I read that someone tried to hit the rectangular block just below the far right pig, I tried that. After several attempts — some hit this block too squarely and some missed entirely and sliced through both wooden vertical, doing NOTHING — I finally nicked the block. This caused the structure to lean leftward and eventually take out everything domino-style while the yellow bird rolls down the far right slope and knocks out the flowers. I didn’t get all that much in the closer slope, though.

From an experienced player at all versions of Angry Birds and with 15.5 million on AB Seasons.

147K is really not a realistic target for players to aim at. Do not expect these 5 flowers to just fall in one hit as described in Joe’s method above. Top realistic score range is about 137K to 143K for this particular level.

Just don’t want to see people disheartened Bird Leader. Not fair for people to play expecting this sort of score. It will only give around 143K with a maximum slice of luck.

As another very experienced player, I second what Habanero is saying here. I don’t doubt that it *can* work (i.e., all the flowers begin hit), but it will be very rare with this approach. I’ve noticed that the left most flower (blue) is particularly tough to destroy with any method. Hitting the wood planks helps get the tower to fall left, but makes it very hard to get all the flowers. If you go for the concrete plank (as others have described), it’s easier to get the flowers on the back slope, but tougher to get enough of the tower to fall left to get everything else to come down. Of course, it is always possible to get a very lucky shot where everything works.

By the way, Joe, the “zoom out” tip on iPad is a good one! I had a tough time getting much beyond 130K doing that, mid 120s are pretty easy that way.

@habanero and doc…I’m not as experienced as either of you, although I do play all the games. Best I can do on this level is 139 plus. I really appreciate Joe’s walkthroughs, though. Although I always try to get 3 stars before viewing this board or a video. Thanks to everyone for the info. I’m stuck at 139 plus. Still trying though!

@DocTonyNYC and spurs01 … yes, to clarify, I have no problem with the method at all (which I worked out for myself in a couple of minutes) but to describe the whole set of flowers falling as above was just cloud cuckoo land to me.

My best is also about 139K. I noted when I got that score that I only missed a couple of flowers, and so the maximum high that I considered believable was around 143K, maybe 145K with all the luck in the world.
The leaderboard has reflected this belief. stockdan, a red hot player, has 143K and the Seasons leader druidie has 139K. Both fit the yardstick I previously posted.

So for Joe to post 147K and suggest that “a brainless Frankenstein” could do this was, to me, unacceptable.

I said “anyone can do it”, which means anyone can do it, not just good players. It’s just a joke thrown in there to make the sense of how easy the level is. The others don’t have to beat themselves up to get higher scores. Around 140,000 points are more than acceptable to stop to move on and for the next level to be released. Perhaps don’t take it too personally?

@Joe. I didn’t take it personally as I had no problem solving it on my own. I’m just saying there are many people here who are struggling, and to make a comment that “anyone” can do it may, in fact, make them feel bad if they, in fact, can’t do it.

Sorry, but I would kind of expect that someone who felt personally attacked a couple of days ago might be a bit more sensitive to the feelings of others.

I just slightly modified (at least as I understood it, and perhaps was lucky) Joe’s method here. Namely I let my UNBOOSTED yellow hit the far side of the top of the middle tower and bounce into the left wood support of the far tower. Netted me a 142k score with both far flowers destroyed. Just another idea for people to try.=)

Habanero, I agree with completely. To be clear, I wasn’t being critical of the method, just warning folks to be realistic about what is a realistic score. I’m right there, score wise, with both ot you at 140+. I generally avoid tooting my own horn, but I’m ranked 4 on Game Center for the summer levels (HD), so I’m lacking in skills and just expressing frustration.

Joe, maybe be careful with comments like the Frankenstein and caveman (yesterday) comments? There genuinely are some people who struggle with these levels as is evidenced by the comments in this forum.

I’m #47 or something like that on Game Center (I’m using an iPhone 3gs). And I’m okay with that. I’m VERY lacking in skills and filled with frustration.

I like Joe’s screenshots/diagrams, but agree on the comments. I struggle, a lot; just look at my scores: they’re plain indicators of my struggle (or a lack of trying, in some cases). :-)

I hit the wood piece on the last tower and the pillar that was on slid to the left and the bird and the top brick went to right and everything went the way of the domino…including the flowers and the grass.

139,880 by lobbing the yellow bird to the low left vertical board in the rightmost tower. I want to know if anyone completes this level in 0 birds — I saw the last tower nearly topple on its own once.

At least one bird used in a level is acceptable. Waiting for the tower to stumble and destroy everything by itself for the maximum score isn’t fun because that’s almost considered to be cheating.

I don’t think rjohnson was necessarily saying this was a “good” way to do this. Instead, I think he just asking if anyone has seen it happen (as it has on some levels throughout the AB universe). Obviously, this will differ from person-to-person–some are thrilled to take credit for a score they did nothing to earn. Others (dare I say most?) want to actually do something to earn the scores.

I didnt get all the flowers. I had near total rock destruction but it seems everyone is stuck below 150 and 130 is a pretty good score. Until I saw that lunar lander video I only cared about 3 stars and eggs.

135,990. Happy with the score, but takes luck to get higher scoring. I believe THAT is where the luck comes in. Not in how to beat the level, but in how to get higher scoring after you have figured it out.

Figuring out how to get the highest score possible is what makes AB so replayable for me.

am i the only one that even when you hit it right where everyone tells you too it still doesn’t collapse?

Maybe i get it to fall 1 in ten tries and even then I can’t get above 130 because none of the flowers get destroyed.

same here. Either I get it to fall or I get a few of the flowers. sometimes (every 50th or 100th try, I haven’t count them) it falls and I get one or two of the top flowers too. But never everything all together

133,000, got it with 2 birds. Yellow hitting diagonally through the closer long board, and then red bird to the lower wooden plank on the bottom of the far tower, which pushes everything else over and topples it all. when i have more time i wanna see if there is a way to max out the score using all birds, getting the flowers vs just taking the extra 10k each bird.

I got 140k on nearly the first try after reading here for techniques (I had been using the yellow on the left, and first red to make the right tower fall). Since then, I’ve only gotten over 130k a dozen times, never more than 135k again. Frustrating.

Good technique tho. I had been wishing the first bird was a red one, doofus me didn’t think to just not accellerate the yellow one.

That was my take on it right from the start. Why not a red one to start if they wanted to fly to the far side first.
I was using the first bird to the first tower, (yellow). and the red to the far side til I read how everyone else was doing it. I got as high as 133,00 using the my first method that I started with, and feeling good about it until I got to the birdsnest and read the other method and saw the high scores.
But I do have 141,680 on the ipad going to the far tower with the yellow, but not having the same luck with the ipod. I have 137,980 there, with that method.It is just trying to get those elusive flowers.

Confirmed. Maybe there is a limiter after you score so high. I got 147k pretty easy and after that I think 133k was the best I could do.

It was easy the first time to get 147k using Joes method and I tried to do it again and couldnt even break 140k. Later I bosted the bird into the very bottom of the post and got 145k. There may be some code in there that wont allow you to get that high the same way twice. It seemed easy the first time and I wanted that last flower. I sure couldnt get past 135k after that.

Frankly I love it, and I loved the Christmas Greedings.

I’m impressed with a lot of people achieving well over 140K++. I’ve managed 140K once as a total fluke and the rest of the times it’s just over 130K…..using the yellow bird into the far right tower method. I have had near total destruction of timber and concrete & only the blue flower remaining and still only 135K so reaching 150K seems totally impossible to me. I do agree there could be a difference between iphone & ipad. Is it just me or does the physics of this summer seasons seem out of kilter to you guys? Like, birds not breaking timber, glass, wood etc like they used to be able to? Or playing the same method & getting inconsistent outcomes? I’m an experienced AB player (I need therapy apparently hehe!) and somethings just seems a little off sometimes…..thanks for the great forum too!!!

On Chrome (and called 1-24 there), 130,760 using the method described in the video except I needed to use one red bird to make it all come down. I hit that just below where the yellow bird went to unlock a logjam of debris.

Unlike most of you, when I get 3 stars, I’m done so that’s as high as I’ll go. :-)

I did activate the yellow bird to break through both wooden legs of far tower. Tower won’t always fall to the left and when it does it tends to all collapse slowly so be patient. I almost released the second bird because I wasn’t sure left tower was going to collapse. Glad I didn’t! :)

I used a fairly high arc and activated late, honestly can’t recall if yellow bird rolled down to take out flowers and grass or if debris did it. I have gotten above 140k several times with same method. I’ll keep at it and try to pay closer attention to exact details.

That was cool. I raised my previous score by nearly 20k. This is one of those levels that requires patience and many repeats to finally get YB at the right angle for full destruction. Most definitely the highest scorers were able to get most, if not all, of the flowers and grass destroyed for the additional points. Even if you can’t quite get the Underdog, these challenges are great for helping to raise personal scores. I finally got way over average this time anyway! Enjoy!

A whole lot of patience & persistence for sure. I somehow managed to get 4 of the flowers instead of the usual 1 or 2.
I’ve been aiming at the very bottom of the vertical wood without activating the bird, so that yellow rebounds left onto the top of the 2nd last tower. The vertical wood beside the one I hit fell right to get one of the 2 right flowers.
As the whole thing collapsed left, the stone/wood above the middle 2 flowers fell into the gap to get them (this almost never happens for me). As the structure fell the yellow bird went tumbling down with it & ended up getting the leftmost blue flower.
I’ve also had the yellow bird drop into the gap as things fall to get 1 though rarely both of the middle flowers.
