Angry Birds Seasons Ragnahog Golden Egg #88 Walkthrough

Golden Egg #88 is hidden on Ragnahog Level 21. The video below is in two parts, first we get the egg and then we clear the level.

The egg is hanging out in the snowballs to the right of the sleigh. Keep hammering away and you’ll see it peeking out from the bottom right snowball, bomb it with Matilda to release the egg and open the level.

Apparently the Vikings developed anti-gravity as well. First throw Stella low to the horizontal stone plank, which is containing a floating stone and the anti-gravity ray. Next, a well timed toss of red enters the ray, travels upward, and bounces off the stone, following through to the detonator up high. The axe falls and wipes out most of the structure below. The rest is blown to bits as things start shifting and the TNT goes. When the dust settles, with 4 bonus birds for 40K, the score is 143850.

Hi flingers!
After you free the ball, you do not actually need to hit the wooden ball.
Do not spend your time to find the way to hit the ball.
If you practice a few times, you will easily find the correct angle which will take the red directly on it.
Then luck is tne most important factor. Usually the right structure does not collapse. Happy fling.

In fact getting that wooden ball out of the way is a definite advantage! Furthermore, if the right structure remains after detonation, you can if you experiment with the angle again, bounce a red bird off the rock where the detonator was and have it fall on the right structure and complete that way.

Throw red early as the geyser starts to rise, the wooden ball won’t have reached the top yet, and you have a clear shot. I want the name of the designer of this level and I want it now! This person must be punished!!

Not a new strat (it looks like there is only one viable method here) – but a tip NOT TO RESET TOO QUICKLY. The structure with the TNT is often left intact, but just now for me it blew. But then the axe head with the pig inside was left intact. I was about to reset when I noticed it jiggling slightly and creating small “puffs of snow”. It slowly jiggled to the right, the fell into the gap where the rightmost tower was, finally seeing off the last pig. 147K+

I did this a few weeks ago, and forget how/what I did. I know I didn’t like this level 133k

@mighty-red-1 are you sure it’s an anti-gravity ray? It looks more like a high-pressured water spout to me

I tried something different and used Stella to first lift and topple the middle structure (with the horns) by aiming at the larger pig sitting on left side under horns. Sometimes the water flow is released by the fallout, if not use one of the red birds by hitting the right side of the lid to release the water flow. Continue by shooting the red birds up above to release the axe head. Took a lot of Rinse / repeat and a whole bunch of luck, but after a few hundred attempts, I finally got the axe head to push the right side enough to trigger the TNT. This level was quite the challenge!

Great idea @diannas! I improved 5k pretty fast with that. Seems to generally score higher, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this strat eventually will produce a top score.

Sorry for deplayed reply (from 12/27 – 1/15).
Been dealing with multiple FEET of snow, subzero temps, area roofs caving in, and now threat of a lot of rain for rapid snow melt to mass flooding……. there goes the sled ramps /jumps and snowmen the kids build with no school snow days! I must admit, been kind of nice to be stuck (to work) at home, more time for flinging !!!!!

Thank you for the feed back @abeggertoo and @gladvold. After all the help I get from this site, I am always happy to know I helped out my fellow flingers here at “The Nest”!
Congrat @abeggertoo for #2 spot!

@diannas thanks for strat. I had been going for first tower for similar result. I had expected to be second place (following thread comments above) and suprised to find I’m top. Sorry @abeggertoo

Why does it not show the 3 stars lit up for Thors hammer after you complete the level? I have 3 stars in everything.
