Angry Birds Seasons Hogs And Kisses 3 Star Walkthrough Level 12

One strategy for Hogs and Kisses level 12 is to fire a Red bird into the slanted wooden plank in the roof of the main structure, just above the small ice block. The bird should roll back down the roof and into the helmet pig below. Loft a Boomerang bird over the house and into its base on the right side, causing the majority of the structure to fail. “Shoot the moon” with the Yellow bird and snipe the moustachioed pig from above. The score in the video below is 66,850.

I got the score 72.300 on this level. I used the same method as in the video, but have some luck when the second bird killed all the pigs.

with 3 birds. Use the first red bird to bounce of the house and weaken it, and then it falls on to the first pig. Then boomerang bird clears most of the house and yellow bird cleans up.

I had 73K on this level but was determined to squeeze a minimum of 75K out of it. Things did not fall right after dozens and dozens of attempts and then out of the blue came a 79,280. Will now try to grow the end of my index finger back!!

You know, these videos are great but so far, complaining is the beat strategy. Two tries later I went from 2-3 stars. Thanks!

Hate this level.Boomerang never does enough damage to maim the biggest pig.Should I direct it through 2nd or 1st floor,or smash headlong into the front??

@fleshyskeleton – Where are you aiming the first bird, Red? If Red just misses the lip of the roof and hits the outside wall high enough it will almost break through the inner wall as well. Your first bird also needs to get a good bounce toward the Helmet Pig and take it and the box of chocolates out, leaving three pigs for Green “Boomer” and Yellow, if needed. Green Bird should break through the front of the house just above where the first and second floors meet then crash through the ceiling to pop Mustache Pig. With some luck, the entire house will break up and eliminate the final pig(s). If my memory serves me right – which it rarely does thanks to my daily consumption of mass quantities of diet cola and gummy bears – the Helmet Pig is the easiest to pop while the Sweetie Pig at far right is one tough oinkerette. I’m convinced that innocent little bow on her head is made of boron carbide, due to the fact that she often survives after numerous direct hits from debris. Aloha.
P.S. Is it just me or do you too wonder how these walkthrough forums survived based on the quality of posts back then… Just an observation and in no way meant to demean the efforts of our beloved old timers. ;-P

One more tip – when using Yellow Bird to take out that pesky last pig on the right, you will get lots more points with a low, flat shot that has enough momentum to break stuff before and after hitting the pig. There are at least 3,000 points available to the right of her so experiment with your best grass-burner shot in order to maximize damage on that third-and-final shot. Aloha.

@surfcow : Cannot find a word to express extra-extreme gratitude to you,now with 76K! I found out the answer to my own question-forget the roof and use red bird to weaken front wall and send boomerang smashing into mustache pig,the roof will collapse to kill everything except the rightmost pig.And it was you who encouraged me to send in yellow bird despite the wall of wooden planks blocking that male pretending to be a cutie, with 16K in reward. His bow was NOT made of B combined with N,the fact is that any plank falling onto him gets a bump on a horizontal plank and loses half the momentum. And I don’t think a reversed shot works.

Thank you @surfcow for posting your Alternate Strategy. Worked great!!
Couple of aiming tips: zoom in
1. Pull back on Red Bird so it just covers the curve in the light blue cloud in the background. This provides a more consistent path of travel to hit the top of the solid vertical wood plank, then the top wood block that are located under the left pig with the bow at the roof’s edge. If RB does not take out the helmeted pig, reset. I could only eliminate that pig with a direct hit.
2. Launch the Boomerang Bird along the same trajectory but just a tad lower so it crashes the wood plank just in front of the stairs.
This level did provide a challenge which took the 3 P’s to obtain an above average score: Patience, Persistence and Practice (doing it over and over again). I was going to evoke the 4th P of Pray, but obtained a good flight of the BB on the second launch.

I used a strategy similar to that of @surfcow. With the green bird, I used the “reversed shot”, that is, sent it backwards from the slingshot and then redirected to the front of the house. This way, it is hard to control where exactly it will hit, but when it works (and the bird doesn’t trip over the slingshot), it can do a very significant damage.

sure. the long plank with the ice pane in it that makes up the left slope of the roof will slide down towards the sling. the little pieces of woood up top can tumble back and hit the bow piggie. like I said, not a full collapse but enough to change the shots..it might have rang up 100 or 200 points before…I just reset when it happens. I shot the red bird like mentioned before in these comments to the mid level of the house, taking out the wall and Pig on the left of the house. The strats vary for the second bird, attacking from the front and like in the video on top from the back. I tried both and my best score was for an attack from the back. It took out all but one pig. I hit the last pig with the third bird and took a lot of wood debris with it. I got 77940 this way.
