You’ve heard it here first! I think we can put the speculation to rest. In keeping with tradition, Angry Birds Seasons will receive its third annual Halloween update. And not only do we know that the update is coming, but we are relatively sure it will be called, “Haunted Hogs”. This could obviously change, but only time will tell.
Now, details are very very sparse at the moment, but we are willing to speculate about a few things. Our disclaimer here is that absolutely nothing is confirmed or official, but since these questions will likely be asked by fans, we will express our opinions as “answers”.
- We believe this update will be v3.0.0 of Seasons, and start a new group called “Seasons 2013”. Why? Trick or Treat (originally, “Angry Birds Halloween”) was v1.0.0 and the first episode of the 2011 group, and Ham’o’ween was v2.0.0 and the first episode of the 2012 group.
- If we had to guess, we think it will be released this coming Saturday, October 20th, 2012. Why? Angry Birds Halloween was released this day, as was Ham’o’ween. It’s not your typical Thursday update, but rather it’s an anniversary release.
- It will likely contain 30 levels. Why? This was from the Game Center screenshot, which showed “test scores” upwards of 3.3M points. This is consistent with, say, Summer Pignic and Ham’o’ween.
- More than likely there will be at least two Golden Eggs, one hidden, and one for 3-starring all levels.

I don’t think so. Rovio has release the update before the holiday occurs. The Halloween updates were never released on Halloween before

That’s not really on topic here, but I certainly won’t be uninstalling Rio any time soon. You never know when Rovio will surprise us.
Even if they don’t update it, I still wouldn’t uninstall it. A game is a game.
Quite. Without a VERY good reason, I’m not gonna be uninstalling ABR. Especially considering the effort that I expened to 3-star and feather everything.

Rio 2 is in production now. Probably ABR will continue around the release of this movie
I have at least 60 games on my iPad. Do I play them all on regular basis? No, of course not. Many of those games would never see an update but I will keep them because they are fun and after all I paid for them.
An why did you ask should WE ALL uninstall game? Why should anybody uninstall such a great game as ABR?
Maybe they are holding off until the next sequel. Rio 2 is going to be released 14 April 2014 (USA). It’s a good guess, they are in the planning stages of future updates? We’ll see what happens.
For now Rovio never made a game that had a sequel,so Angry Birds Rio 2 is not a good guess.Why do we need 2 ABR’s as long as Rovio updates the game there is realy no need for ABR 2,and if Rio 2 comes 2014 they could just continue the story just how the movie will.
The only reason I would uninstall it would be to re install to play the levels again-after triple checking my back up files :).

it cannot hurt to be an early bird once in a while. let’s just hope the big present from SG is debugged; I sure was really late on this one (3 starred SG only last month… no glitch for me)
