Angry Birds Seasons Ham’o’ween Level 1-1 Walkthrough

Welcome to our first walkthrough for Ham’o’ween! Our strategy for level 1-1 is to fire the first Red bird through all three pumpkins in the bottom left. This should cause the left tower to fall. With the next Red bird, score a direct hit on the black pumpkin to clear the level. The score in the video below is 62,110.

60670….take out the pumpkins on the front and will kill all the pigs except the one at the end of the structure. Gotta either hit the pumpkins that will be exposed nxt to the black jack o latern or hit the structure protecting the pig knocking him over to the right sode…used only two birds.

High score strat: hit the middle horizontal wooden plank of the first (left most) structure. This will usually cause the thick, vertical wooden planks of the lower half of this structure to strike the stack of pumpkins supporting the second (right) structure. Occasionally this will cause the black pumpkin under the second structure to explode, thus finishing the level with one bird. After that it all depends on how many blocks you break to how many points you get. You have to break two of the supporting pumpkins under the second structure in quick succession for the momentum imparted by the falling structure to do enough damage to the black pumpkin to destroy it. This resulted in a score of 75K for me.

—–Streamlined Version—–
Bird 1: Hit middle horizontal supporting beam of first structure => debris smashes pumpkins supporting second structure => clear level!
Birds 2, 3 & 4: 30K points.

Has anyone had the first tower fall down on them before a single bird has been thrown? It happened to me once, but I haven’t been able to reproduce it. I know this happens on occasion, but usually someone brings it up. I figured I’d be that person this time.

@BirdLeader I had this happen to me once also but could not repeat it for the life of me. I didn’t capitalize on the situation, however, as I stuffed up the second shot :(

I guess I am just too excited to start flinging birds as I have not seen the left structure fall on its own. On a bit of a side note, I know there are several levels where the wood structures fall on their own. I thought I read somewhere that you guys were thinking of creating a list of some sort that listed all the levels where this happens. Have you guys done this or are there just too many to try and keep track of?

I still have all the comments relayed through my Uni email so they make make me smile from time to time. I haven’t been playing any AB of late but I still want to do as you are atm and get over the average score on all the levels. Now that I have (finally) replace my iPhone 3GS I can finally get over the average score on one of the AB seasons Free levels I think it was… Anyways I am happy some of my strats have stood the test of time. Peace out ABN community.

Thank you @natureswrath for the alternate strategy and screenshot. I was aiming for the wrong piece of wood and couldn’t figure out why nothing was collapsing before I saw the picture. I got the one-birder twice, with lower scores because there wasn’t enough debris damage. But persistence paid off and was able to gain 4K in points!

Basically used the same strategy as @natureswrath. Thank you for the post. It still produces a good score after all these years.

Aiming tip: zoom in and use the light blue stripe on the left side of the tree. Barely touching it helps in finding the “sweet spot” for the black pumpkin explosion.

I really don’t like the new bird, its cute and all but doesn’t seem to do much damage maybe I am not using it correctly? Any suggestions welcome ty

The trick to the new orange bird is when to use him. When he is inflated, he doesn’t have much momentum so he doesn’t do much damage when expanded. However, he does have two good features.

1) He cuts through wood nearly as well as the yellow bird.
2) When he expands, he pushes any blocks he is touching away from him with high velocity.

#2 above is the key to using the bird effectively. You expand him when he is right by an area that you wan’t to explode and while the bricks won’t just blow up like with the black bird, they will be pushed away with such force that they will break against other surfaces and blocks.

ty soo much:) need a little practice but I think I am getting the hang of it now thanks to your tips.

You can also “Slam” him into some structures by throwing the little guy at a tower, and right when he hits the tower you inflate him. It slams the bricks to the right pretty hard and will do some decent surface damage.

But this bird really shines when you get him into cracks and tight spaces. He’s meant to slip to the bottom of the screen, to an area that’s smaller than he is when he expands, then when he does expand….. it’s total destruction for anything in the way.

I also beat it with one bird. Less points, though, 68,660.
I launched the first bird over the first structure and it landed on the little orange pumpkins under the second structure. This led to the structure falling, the black pumpkin exploding, etc.

I tried downloading to my phone from this link and got the same Server Error. I wonder if it’s something specific to the EVO 3D operating system??? I would say maybe the recent Gingerbread update, but I think others who have this system update were able to download. I may be wrong though.

Like @natureswrath I went for the middle horizontal wooden beam of the first tower. This made the tower drop to the right and the bottom horizontal beam broke the pumpkins of the right tower and the TNT pumpkin exploded and got me a one birdie. I got 75200 this way.

After reading the posts on this page, playing this level, and posting, I noticed something strange that I have not seen previously.

When reviewing the comments above I was reading Kathy’s two comments and there is no score with her name. I also noticed there is no Rank posted to the left of her avatar. I went to the Leader Board and clicked on her score/name and it took me to Kathy with the same avatar as posted above on the Walkthrough page. On the Leaderboard she is #3 with a score of 77,450. I do not understand why it is not showing up on the Walkthrough page.
Just an FYI for your consideration.
