A writeup, old “slim-style” for your video @trishohara

Welcome to our walkthrough for Hammier Things level 1-3. Our 3 star video strategy below nets all five candles above. Fling the first bird nearly straight up, activating manually just left of the structure’s center spewing debris into the candles above. Toss the second straight ahead through the thin vertical stone to wipe out the helmeted pig there and hopefully gather some points for knocking the stones over the edge. Fire the rest to the far right structure, racking up as many debris points as possible. Even if all pigs are destroyed, there may be many points available by flinging more bomb birds. The score in the video is 149660 using all five birds.

It’s frustrating to clear all the candles with first bird, then mess up clearing the right hand structure… I just got 46,060 with first hird, then blew it. Oh dear!

@triggerfisn see @trishoara video above to get all candles, then aim BB straight ahead as @knichy explains , i let it roll and explode itself when next to the wall, if it starts to roll back manually detonate.. good luck:)

Ah, yes grasshopper, it is frustrating @triggerfish especially when @kathy replies and mistyped your name.
These videos and write-ups aren’t one take wonders, although I broke 150 within 10 tries after watching the @trishohara video

Thank you @kathy and @knichy for your kind words of encouragement.
While I continue to mess up on the right side structure, I have improved my overall score by 3,000.
I have now managed 46590 with the first bird but, of course, did not manage to capitalise on this achievement.
Frustration remains the predominant emotion but there is a glimmer of hope. I shall persevere!

Alternative on bird 1 is to go under the ledge and explode at the top of the arc; I’ve put a picture in my album ( see below) where the structure at the bottom was damaged from the fallout giving me a first bird score of 51k. I couldn’t capitalise on that but the approach yields a better score than the approach in the walk through.

165k with 4 birds.

I like to go for the bottom left structure first. Straight ahead, through the ‘door’ and the brick above it. try to get 25k here.

Then for the second bird, detonate under the upper platform like several players already mentoned.

Then the third bird through the hollow squares at the bottom left of the far structure, just underneath the bricks.

Finally aim the fourth bird a tiny bit further through the rest of the hollow stones to bring the structure down and hope for a decent collapse. Otherwise use the last bird to clean up, though I think it will be hard to reach 165k with 5 birds.

Thanks @angrychicken for the first bird goal of 25K ;-) I also used 4 birds and got 164980…but check it out…I missed one of the candles up top that could have been 3K more points. Here’s my screenshot:

Urgh!!! 168K scores plus are defiantly possible. I’m not even sure why I kept playing this run without resetting it…good thing I did though. I got over 25K on the first shot and my saving grace was the extra amount of damage to the far right concrete structure ;-)

@angrychicken Thank you for posting your strategy. I also went with the bottom left structure first. Seemed to produce more points when the left side vertical stone and block above were hit and the bird stopped around the middle inside.
Did not obtain a high score but was able to get above average.

First I am taking care of the right structure. The reason is that 2 birds are necessary to take it down. Anyway, aim at least 80k here, like this.

Then the left structure and to finish the job the @trishohara trick to get all the candles.
