Exact same strategy as the video. First bird needs to ensure all 4 pigs on the left are killed. Timing of second bird is important – winging TNT needs to land on pig just above TNT under shelf so both TNTs detonate. For my high score I got a lot of destruction and a couple of basket slam dunks (you need to be zoomed out to see the basket).

Had the high score with 190k using the video method until @skowse blew it out of the water with his technique: whatever possessed him to try that I have no idea, but it works – my now high score used his method.

Matilda almost vertical, drop egg on first brick so structure falls to the right, for some reason airship falls out of sky (every time), “not a carcass” flies over to far tnt and drops it. Clear up if necessary.

Fantastic find @skowse! Threw 2nd bird for clean up and 209k. However I didn’t find the ship fell every time,more like one in 5 throws. Sometimes the whole thing explodes which isn’t nearly as helpful ;) Still can’t figure out what triggers it though.

@jlz-666 I think if the bird’s arc is a little too far to the right, and not quite high enough, the ship will not fall.

Thanks @skowse – brilliant strat. Who would have thought that the blimp could be toppled like that?! Goes to show that you have to think out of the box with this game.
And congrats to @pauliboy for the awesome top score, and to the other high scorers too. Used 2 birds for my personal best but just can’t seem to break the 200K barrier. :)

Thanks @skowse would have never come up with that on my own. Waiting to launch Matilda when the TNT is far right appears to lead to slightly higher scores as it explodes into the blimp reducing it to complete rubble.

That strategy is insane – I couldn’t figure out for the life of me where these high scores were coming from. Normally I like to think I can figure out the approximate best plan on my own, but that is what makes this forum great!

I made a slight adjustment to @skowse‘s brilliant strategy: To get “not a carcass” to go into the hoop more often, pull bird tight to sling, drop egg on left end of horizontal stone piece, not beyond the yellow flag.

I should add, doing it this way, you are relying on falling debris to drop the right TNT, which for me seems to have better results.

What a great find @skowse ;-) Thanks for sharing! I had originally been sending Matilda up as high as possible and dropping the egg on the big blimp just before impact, causing it to crash down, but your way is much better!
I wonder if Matilda is hitting something off screen that we can’t see, causing it to trigger the blimp to go down? Great find though, once I figured out exactly what you meant, lol ;-)

I got the “not a carcass” to hit the balloon holding the far right tnt but no basket and I still got a good score ;-) Thanks again ;-)))

TY @skowse for this great out of the box strat!
At first I was confused with some of the other comments; if to shoot first bird into side of blimp or fly over.
It is to fly over!

Extra comments: I would pull Matilda down just touching sling post. Waiting to launch until the TNT was swinging to the right just over pig in middle (with gloved hands up). Triggered egg to hit as far right on stone as possible. Then Matilda’s body would fly over blimp (as it fell) to come down on right side to hit balloon to drop TNT on right pigs, OR to hit right pigs directly, OR to get Matilda’s body to bounce over to make a basket. Score!

I do think hitting that stone is the trigger, if too far right and blimp won’t fall.

I also found if you get a one bird hit, second bird might increase your score. It ends fast, need to decide to shoot second bird in a split second……… I would have the second bird already positioned back in sling to launch it needed.
It can be a gamble; can get 10k-20k+ wth good shot to middle debris, but also can get less than 10k if shot wrong.

My current 211k+ Score was with a lucky 1 bird hit. Egged right side of stone, got all left pigs, Matilda flew over blimp, came down on balloon holding right TNT, dropping TNT on right pigs, then it bounced to right to make a basket! A basketball somehow went into basket too, plus max destruction. Shocked I had 181k after this first bird, didn’t chance losing this score with bad shot of second bird!

@skowse thank you for posting this strategy. I never would of thought that something was high that we could not see that activated the blimp. Used two birds and did not get anything through the basketball hoops.

That is just wierd!! Seems like a glitch, but perhaps there is something holding up the airship that is hard to see in all the clutter. One birders galore for sure.

My variation, just to keep things interesting is score Matilda through the hoop on the far side for the 5000 extra points.

Followed @skowes strateggy and even saw Matty expertly drop thru the basket for the 5k ala @birdmeister…ending the level w/ a grand 174,360…..hahaha…tried several more times, each time getting the blimp to fall down, but unable to best my 174,360…YET. I love this game!!

I noticed the same thing as @skowse … but I also think I figured out what it causes the blimp to come down… there are TNT’s hidden underneath the white exterior… the white block on the left of “industries” underneath the red line is one (I saw this during one of the explosions where that one survived but the white cover was gone.) I think there are 3 or 4 hidden underneath there and if done right one can set off a chain reaction.

Like @JLZ-666 I too didn’t get the explosion of the blimp every time, actually I even didn’t have the luck of ratio she mentioned. Mine exploded maybe 1 out of every 10 to 15 times… the other times just a portion of the blimp exploded.

Anyway, sending Mathilda in and getting her to take out that white block of the blimp will give you the best odds to get a full explosion. After that is all in the luck of the falling debris. I got a score of 209710 after many many tries.

If your have trouble with the blimp dropping on the first shot, pull the WB down on the right side of the slingshot and aim as high as you can with full power. Release and immediately trigger the bird. The shell will go straight up, more or less. The blimp will explode on it’s own 95% of the time, shell will return for more damage 50% of the time One Birds are inordinately common.

@bogart When I pull Matilda close to the sling and trigger immediately as you say, she indeed goes straight up but comes no where near the blimp, this is now after she no longer ‘deflates’ after triggering. I’m not sure when that to affect , and was it prior to our after you played? If you remember? Thanks for the alternate:)

@hunnybunny @karen68 I think this one can be added as ‘got harder’ since Matilda no longer ‘shrivels up’ after dropping her egg , it’s much harder to get the blimp to drop, it’s harder to get up inside of it.
Actually most levels with Matilda have gotten harder due to that: (

I have been using @skowse strategy for Matilda. I even had a one birder 220k with it. You can see the trajectory in this screenshot (and the fact that Matilda must hit something offscreen that triggers the fall).

BTW, you should try to put her in the right hoop for and extra 5K ;-)

Anyway, there is more than 10k available after that, so I started experimenting with Bubbles. Where you aim depends on the aftermath of Matilda.
