Our strategy for Easter Eggs level 5 is to fire the Blue bird horizontally, through the small pig hiding in the tall grass and onward into the left side of the structure. Launch the Black bird straight ahead, landing it next to the vertical stone supports in the middle of the level. The explosion should shift the top structure to the right and onto the last pig. The score in the video below is 129,920.

Damn!! I just scored 153K plus on Easter Eggs level 1-5 but it was on the Free version of the same level (Egg-2) so don’t think I am justified to put it down on the actual Seasons!
Wish it had been the other way round as it is almost 10K more points!
Will have to try to repeat it in the main version. At least I know there are a lot more points available for that level.
Wow. I’m impressed. How exactly did you get such a high score? I am still stuck at about 135,000. I can see how I could get it to over 140,000. But over 150,000? I can’t see how. Could you provide any hints?
141740 Same strategy as in the video.
I just boosted to 135´ on this one, realizing that bricks yields a lot of points. Frustrated that I didn´t take out the pig far right with the bomb, I threw white bird and dropped egg just below the top ow the rightmost tower – killing the pig and destroying lot of bricks
i killed all visible pigs but got the level failed message! Whats up?
sometimes that far right pig, that is in the grass, is sneaky.
there are two pigs hiding the pots one on the left on on the far right I’ve been caught out with that before getting 132450 in 2 shots
It can be easy to overlook pigs in this one, because a couple are hiding in the grass.
@all Ok, please help! This is the LOD for Sat 6/30. Any more specific hints / alternate strats for getting a higher score? Thanks for your help.
@mvnla2. Yes, I have one and spent a while tonight making sure it works (it’s been a while). I promise to post it in morning. Im struggling, tonight, to keep my eyes open at 12:15!
See, I’m so tired I didn’t hit reply button!
Been playing this level for a while this evening on the daily challenge and got a lucky break with 2 birds to score 152k!! Launched the blue bird in a medium high arc and split early to take out a lot of glass, the first pig hiding in the grass on the column, the three eggs on the left, and the three pigs on the left side of the structure. Took out enough glass to have a fairly clear shot with the black bird into the open space between the third and fourth stone arches(?). Just a small amount of glass to break through, then it detonated just right to take out the rest of the pigs and destroy that massive amount of stone on the right, along with the three eggs on the right. Happened so fast it may have also taken out one or both of the columns on the right. Wow, with the right placement, those black birds can really deliver!
@hallieGinSB Used this strategy and increased my score by 10K. Thanks and still trying to improve!
@halieGinSB – great score! I’m playing the Challenge too, but a later one. Thanks for posting your strat. I’m
still trying to get close to it. You really knocked it out of the ballpark.
I promised @mvnla2 last night that I would post what I do here. It seems to be about the same as Hallie, but allow me to add a bit more detail:
1. Aim the blue bird slightly lower than the glass plank, where the pig is sitting in the grass (the first part of the glass structure). Split right before hitting. Several things must happen with this shot in order to clear a path for the BB. First, the glass plank under the pig with pink ears (sitting on a glad block and wooden “stool”) needs t break. If you get this plank, most of this time you will be in good shape. The first two sections of the glass structure need to fall to the left, and they need to fall down far enough so that the path is clear. One last thing must happen: next to the pig on the stool, there are a glass block on top of a glass cube–these must also fall to the left. The pieces don’t always cooperate, but it should work about 50% of the time.
2. With all the glass out of your way, loft the BB through the space where the glass block and cube just fell. The BB, as you know, struggles with glass, and it can get thorough the right block and cube, but not both sets. Just to be clear, you are aiming right under the two small pigs sitting together on the glass structure. The BB should fall between the two stone structures on the right. Manually detonate the BB when it is not halfway down.
There are a lot of conditions on that first shot, but you can earn many more points by detonating the BB next to the biggest stone structure.
I woke up thinking of this level and have been trying to get this same technique perfected:). I promise I wasn’t eavesdropping on you, @doctonynyc. I kept thinking of that weird wooden seat and knew that area had to be cleared. I am heading back to kill some pigs! Thank you and @hallieginsb (great score, hallie! ) for this strategy.
I hope it works for you, @wanda. I’ve been trying to top my old score, and just can’t quite get there yet. I was within ten points on my best score this morning. I have been able to get many, many scores today in high 130s, though. While it looks like, from my descriptin, that a lot of lucky things need to happen, it’s basically a chain reaction that works pretty consistently. The two biggest obstacles seem to be one or two glass planks that were hortizontal end up standing vertical (blocking the path that is needed), or the glad pieces under the two small pigs don’t fall.
@doctonynyc, I am having the best results by aiming the first bird for the short horizontal ice brick that is to the left of the helmet pig with the darker bunny ears, it seems like it is easier to destroy the horizontal ice plank under the wooden stool. Finally got into top 50:). Thanks again.
Thanks, @wanda, and congrats! For me, and it could be my less than perfect eyesight, that seems too low. But, aiming at the plank I mentioned is too high. It actually seems about 1/2-3/4 up between the two. Anyway, clearly it’s a shot that takes some figuring out. ..
you know what, @doctonynyc? I think I aim that high because of MY less than perfect eyesight:). I have better success when my blue bird trio splits around that horizontal ice brick, but whatever works for you to get that area clear is the way to go:)… Happy Flinging!
Although it doesn’t matter, @wanda, I think you were aiming lower than me, not higher. You’re totally right–whatever works for each person is what matters. I certainly didn’t mean to suggest otherwise!
Cheers…
oh good grief, @doctonynyc, now I can’t tell higher from lower :). You’re right-whatever works!!
Thanks Doc and HallieGinSB Wish I could do as well as you.
Thank you for such a detailed description DocTonyNYC@doctonynyc, still trying but know what to look for
Thanks for the excellent strategy and detailed description @doctonynyc! It took about 20 tries, but it is easily repeatable and worked like a charm. Sure was fun to see all of those stone bricks destroyed and the points racking up!
@rdnzlrips82 posted this link in the BP; I found it very helpful in aiming the first shot, although I still haven’t done as well as others.
Oh, well; I should have known you cant copy an imbedded link. So try this:
Thanks for the link, @mvnla2. It’s nice to know that, at least once in a while, I figured out the strategy before seeing someone’e video.
Yes, that does help with the question of aiming the first bird (and splitting, for that matter).
I’ve been OCD about this level all day, and the best I could do was 140,430 (which nearly made me scream like a pig!). The only thing more frustrating than improving one’s score ten points at a time is coming up ten points short!
I think I’m done with this one for now. I fear that I will dream of shattering glass!
Used this method and increased by 10k! Thanks! :)
Thank you @hallieginsb for posting your Alternate Strategy. Worked great and repeatable. Gained over 15k.
Couple of observations: After the Blue Bird destroys the structure, at times the far right big pig on the wood “rocks” and if it falls it may push some of the glass blocks to the left opening up the gap between the third and fourth arches. Waiting a few scores before launching the Bomb Bird paid off. Obtained the score of 141k by letting the Bomb Bird fall to the bottom causing the far right stone structure to “rock” to the right and then fell to the left causing a good deal of debris points. Happened twice which produced a score of 139k and the present.
Update. Replaying this level in 2022, I used the strat posted by @klamsauce below to up my score from 152k to 164k!
It’s been a while since I got my score but I do remember you want to detonate the bomb bird when its tight against that right column of stones as doctonynyc stated..
I’ve been seeing a bit of self-destruction in this level. If you notice, the pig on the wooden ledge makes the stone in the tower come out of it. This helps to break out the pig and also some eggs too. Can someone else to confirm this? I’m on iPad.

Yes it does.
Ye, @iammighty, I’ve seen it, too. I haven’t seen it, though, until after I’ve taken the first shot I described above. I see from you pic that you didn’t take a shot.
@Sal9 — Did you see the pig on the ledge move before any birds were shot?
@mvnla2 yes, after just a couple of restarts without flinging any bird, the ledge slowly leans right. Sometimes the pig below gets killed, most of the time no which makes it harder to get later on.
@all — Has anyone else seen the pig on the ledge fall before any other birds fired? 6/30/12 is a good day to see this if it happens more often than once in a blue moon. So far, I think only iamMiighty has seen self-destruction.
If you see it after 6/30/12, please comment in forum on self-destroying and unstable levels:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/forum/discussion/873/please-add-to-list-of-self-destroying-and-unstable-levels
@mvnla2. As I mentioned above, I’ve been a bit obsessed with this level today. I have literally thrown hundreds of blue birds (and significantly less bomb birds). In all of those times, I’ve seen it happen twice prior to shooting a bird (and dozens of times after the first).
has anyone seens the far right pig on the podium, if you destroy the grass and the pig still stands, have you seem it floated and acting like it’s on the grass?
like a glitch? @angryboy
I guess it is, it just floats acting like its on the grass
iv’e had worse glitches…
just wondering if it happened to anyone else
here’s a screenshot- http://angrybir.de/N3ZreG
No way, my score survived the Challenge train, hmmm see that I never posted my video back than. But I split the blues right after release and made sure the ice block on top of the middle structure (the one underneath the two piggies in the middle) to fall down, creating a gap. Send the Bomb bird into the gap, breaking the ice block on the other side of the structure with the two little piggies on them, falling down between the two columns. Everything was blasted to the side and I got 142710 this way.
Here is my video.
Did anyone else mention it?
Aim for the spot just above left helmet pig to take out horizontal ice block to the right of him.See the two horizontal ice blocks supporting the upper part?Chances are one of them will fall, leaving only one ice block in the right trajectory aiming for twin largest stone columns for the bomb bird.Shoot him thru it and provided he doesn’t hit anything else,he’ll strike and collapse the stone column, giving you enough points for 140K
Just achieved over 160k using 3 birds, but 2 is also viable:
First blue bird break immediately having the lower bird ricochet off the first grey pillar bouncing back to hit the first pile of eggs. The rest of the birds will break the first vertical glass tower with the second one coming down on top of it. BB through the remaining slab of glass to come down where the second little pig is perched. This will likely push the debris left and right, sometimes clearing everything. This will lessen the score however as the main points are going to come from the right brick tower collapsing to the right. Use the white bird for this, breaking at the last second. There must be no glass in the way so it may take a few tries for it to be clean.
Alternate strategy is the same as the first however when the initial blue bird breaks, there is a rare chance that enough of the middle glass will break where we can actually launch the BB through into the slot where the third pig is perched. This will collapse everything both left and right, taking the brick tower down as well and netting 30k bonus.
161950 with ths, thanks for sharing @klamsauce
Thanks for the heads up @anton249. Just like described by @klamsauce with 3 birds. Second bird left the way wide open for matilda. Her egg damaged the base of the stone tower so that it was first knocked right, then veered back and collapsed to the left, gathering many points. Bigger scores are probably on their way now that the word is out.
woot thanks @klamsauce Raised my score by 20k only needed 2 birds:)
Thanks @klamsauce. I kept trying to get the perfect 2 bird clear, resetting if I didn’t break the first ice above the middle gap. But once I tried the 3 bird clear you described and confirmed by @pellystar and @angrychicken, and saw the possibilities, it was just a matter of R&R and finally all fell in place for 163k.
160330/3
many many thx to @klamsauce for the great strat. and details.
here my video:
https://youtu.be/R4POaTO0KW8
my points in that level were back to 0.
@trishohara this means that the 0 points issue is pretty random. As known did I also loose lots of scores after the introduction of the Cloud for seasons. The scores in this episode remained untouched.
