Angry Birds Rio Trophy Room Walkthrough Papaya Trophy

The common strategy for the Angry Birds Rio Trophy Room “Papaya Trophy” level is to send the Black bird just above the piggie-balloon. Either directly or as debris falls, the TNT on the left side should detonate, sending stones through the leg of the main tower. For higher scores, you want the TNT within the tower to detonate as well. Use the White and Yellow birds as needed to finish off the level. The score in the video below is 97,480.

This is the easiest one to me. I think around 90K is 3 stars. You can do it with 1 bird, but the scrore will be too low. Shoot the black bomb bird right at the water lilly or pink lotus flower (not sure what type it was) on the left closest to the slingshot. Let it roll a bit, then blow it up. All that should be standing is the marmoset on the far right and the tiny tower he sits on. The middle tallest columns will fall to the left, and the other TNT will blow up with them. Use the white egg bird to drop an egg on the papayas (or mangos if it makes you happy), and that takes out more stuff and gets points. This will yield 101,070.

CrazyBirdLady’s method works very well. Make sure the black bird crashes through the box with the diagonal wooden piece and lands on top of the big crate-or just to the left of the big crate- before detonating. That will cause the tnt to explode and the middle tower should fall just like she stated. You should have 75-80k at this point. Then send the white bird over and get that last monkey. Thanks!

Yeah, it works pretty well, but on my Xoom, it seems that the placement of the black bird has to be in a very small sweet spot to get the specific chain reaction collapse that CrazyBirdLady is referring to. I’ll try it on my iPad later, when I get there and see what happens…

I’ve been using CrazyBirdLady’s method independently, and I find that the placement of that first bird doesn’t have to be perfect. I find it works best if it hits bang on the flower, breaks the stone and then falls down. Detonate when it is roughly in the position of where the pig balloon would have been. This will blow the tnt on the other side of the wall, and hopefully cause the chain reaction. A one bird is possible, which I guess is what @frozndevl got for 120k – I had to use the second bird at the far right piggie, giving just under 110k :)

I’ve tried several times CBL method, practically from the beginning, without reading here, but I’ve noticed that because second TNT explodes when middle part is leaning, debris fall to the left side. Then I tried several times method from the video and almost all times I finished from one bird with about 99-100k, often I used also quickly the white bird to make more points from the right side, even the marmoset from here was killed before from the first shot debris. Finally, with this method I had a bunch of debris falling and demolished also the right part. One bird – 115.700

i found to get the higher score it can only be done using just the black bomb bird ,and i have been throwing it just under the flower straight against the wall ,and as @laurence said it does not have to be exact ,but the detonating for me seemed to make the difference ,meaning just as it hits wall or even a fraction before …and u can go quite low and still set tnt off, took alot of flings

Like the accepted strat, aim at the first flower, breaking the ledge, letting Blackie roll down the front, but here’s were the points come in. Detonate BEFORE you reach the top of the middle metal rimmed box. This causes some of the left top to blow, sometime preventing the 2nd tnt from blowing, but when it DOES blow, it causes much more damage, and often a 1-birder, as in how I got this score. GL!

Tip for the Challenge of the Day:

You want to ensure that Bomb just hits right on the flower as @laurence says it and has to break down the horizontal stone block and you should detonate just when he reaches the TNT, meaning he should be above the TNT and then explode. The main thing lies the debris and how it is thrown around, if you get lucky then there is a 1-Birder there for you or use the second birdie to get max. debris points.

Rank: Avian Overlord with 16160 points
By josephine (@josephine)Score: 117,340

If I may add something, you want the second TNT to explode not because it leans to the left, but because it is hit by one of the wood pieces on which the second monkey on the left is sitting. Then it will damage the right side of the structure. And then you need some luck with de falling debris. Got 117K with 1 bird.

The key seems to be the timing in detonating, right before the wall. Really split second though. I’ve been aiming through the flower, which I think accomplishes the same thing.
And be patient – the structure the far right marmoset sits on can sway a bit & sometimes still fall even when it looks like it has stabilized. I ruined a few 1-birders by flinging the white bird too early.
