83000 One bird. Not entirely sure how. I tried about 50 times to replicate the video, since that’s how I got my 71,000, but I got fed up. I think I sent one higher to take out the cage and a wall of the arch, and it knocked things to the right, teased me with the last cage, then fell. Sorry I can’t provide more detail…

Oh, amazing.
Actually,I’m more likely to use a two Y’s and score my thousands, then get my two extra birds as thousands and higher it up to 80000 or something!!!

TY for video but think the first shot is wasted, shoot high and come down at an angle right just behind the first cage, not sure what supports I hit to do it with 1 bird but consistent ave 75,000ish score with the exception of luck.

AWESOME first shot coming back to this level with luck I guess…first bird high arch and comes down right behind first bird cage, came down and hit thru the first few bottom pieces of the left of the arch, the arch bumbled off towards the left and second bird took out last remaining lonely blue bird cage and thru it to take out alot of the stacked boxes in the right for more points. since he was basically alone over there I had lots of room for taking out boxes…gl

This is awesome…I am on a rol!!! Sure higher scores are possible…but.another day…used a little different strat went straight in with bird 1 only left one cage:)

I like this strategy best and can often make it in one bird. Pull the 1st bird down to line up with the left corner of the metal box below the sling then shoot it down behind the red bird taking out the bottom of the main structure. I can’t figure out how it would be worth it to use a 2nd bird on the debris though… Any suggestions?

Thanks @lesleyg for this alternate strategy. The very first try, I got it with one bird! With the three bonus birds, I got 76320. I know I can get more, just have to work on changing the trajectory a little bit.

Best strategy to obtain an above average score thanks @lesleyg. Zooming in was more accurate for me. Getting the boxes on the right side was the challenge. Most of the time it was from falling debris. Fun level to play.

Not many comments here for this level eh?! LOL Any suggestions for reaching the high 80’s? Is it better to get it all in one bird or two?

pretty sure I had a one birder that had debris falling both left and right onto the boxes, but I cannot reproduce it.

Using the 1st YB high arch shot method consistently produces scores in the low 70’s. This was proposed by and seconded by <q cite="@lesleyg“>. Details of what I did for this method:
1) Launch the 1st YB in a High Arch, tip of YB almost touching the vertical of the slingshot at release.
2) Accelerate at about 30% of the way down to come in behind the 1st Tower.
3) You want to just hit the edge of the upper Horizontal Plank to take out the two Vertical Supports of the Arch Tower.
You should get near 40k here and have one or two cages left.
4) Launch the 2nd YB at about 30 degrees under horizontal, accelerate just over the peak of the arch.

There is a reliable one-bird solution. Loop just over the first bird cage and knock out the joining of the half-circle and its diameter. This produces “Mr. Inch Worn”, who clears the deck on both ends and squashes the ones underneath him.

Sorry to ask but is the top score of 97+K legit? Given the other top scores, and the way in which the level ‘plays’, it’s hard to imagine getting such a high score without using PU’s. If it is legit, then kudos to the player!!

I noticed there was a lack of comments on here… so I will add my own method.. I got 84k by aiming for the vertical slats at the top, holding the arch in place. This causes the entire structure to collapse. If you are fortunate you can do it using only one YB. Using two YB produces a score of mid to late 70k.

If I have a high score I usually comment. But I’ve had some of my comments and scores deleted. It has been a while since I played this level so I can’t give much help. I played only Rio for about 4-5 years, sometime playing just one level for a month or more to try and get as high a score as possible. They say doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is a form of insanity. Well, here is my insane screen shot.

I just scored 93,300 points using only ONE BIRD.

I was following the strategy posted by @lesleyg over 7 years ago.
However, as the wood arch fell, it broke in two, with the right half pushing most of the far right tower onto the tall stack of boxes.

In my screenshot you can see most of the remaining debris, including all that remained of the arch and the 3 unused birds.
