Angry Birds Rio Rocket Rumble Walkthrough Level #20

Our strategy for Rocket Rumble Level #20 is to send Stella at the base of the top structure, and trigger upon impact. Then send the Red bird backwards, into the glowing mushroom to trigger the rocket. With a little bit of luck, the rocket should land on the detonator on the right, and cause a spectacular set of fireworks. The score in the video below is 165,230.

Tried many times on my own before looking at the video and was only able to get about 150K and 2 stars with 3 birds. Used the video method and got 2 birds and 170K. Tried again just for fun and somehow pulled off a 1-birder for 179,920. Something from the first bird must have set off the rocket to finish the level. It was pretty cool to watch!

One bird, like demo only slightly lower trajectory and everything went on right side, the rocket on the left(demo shot 2) never fired

I’m still on 2B with best 175.930 but I set a really lot of scores between 170-175. A few advices for 2B (with 1B possibility). 1st shoot is a key. You must activate a fuse of Vacuum by light touch, hard land, recapture of wood wall or someting else, later is need to activates bubbles.

If you have a problem with it there is another way. Aim higher at tower, above the stone base of monkey inside. You can lift / pivot tower to the right. 2nd shoot – standard. This gives llower scores but open a way to 1B too (triangle land on right part). Max 1B scores are set rather by first method.

@kelani – I’ve found a difference but not based on WHERE the fuse is hit but WHO hits it! If Terrence hits the fuse inside the cave I under up with 146,000-149,000 plus 2 spare birds for 169,000 max. However, if Terrence misses and gets NO points hitting things on the way down and I use Pink to hit the fuse, I ALWAYS end up over 151,000. The problem is – after that I only have 1 bird remaining so I’m coming in at 161,000. Don’t understand why this 2000 point difference just based on which bird hits a fuse. Still early in challenge so I have fingers crossed for the one-birder people are mentioning. Good luck, all!

Now that this is the Challenge, does anyone have a pic of a 1-birder trajectory? I’ve tried a variety of placements & I’ve not seen anything even remotely close to a 1-birder …. just wondering if there’s a sweetspot

@justpast40 It’s just a lucky piece of debris that lands on the left hand rocket to set that off. Unfortunately my rocket hit a piece of debris and fizzled out. I’ve never seen the main structure fall to the right and detonate that way. Good luck xx

Thanks @hunnybunny …. It just almost happened. I saw debris set off the right side collapse & got so excited … until the level didn’t close & I found a malicious marmoset on the cliff to the right. This evil creature must have hopped up & right missing the destruction …. grrrr the score was 179510 so with that marmoset I would have been so very close … : -(

Has anyone gotten 180K or above with 2 birds? I currently have 179 with 1 bird and am wondering if I should reset every time the first bird fails to clear everything or if I should try to get more from 2 birds. I’m pretty sure I know the answer (only look for 1-bird clears to improve on 179 but thought I would ask. Thank you!

Hi @maiasatara. I could be wrong but I don’t think it’s remotely possible to get 80K with 2 birds. As @bernesenn says, this level is all about luck and there is no skill involved. It’s a classic angry birds “wash/rinse/repeat” level, which is why I think it’s a strange choice for a challenge. You cannot “improve” your playing skills when it’s a 100% lucky shot (and very rare too!!) to get a high score. I got my 81K when I first played it last year, and as I remember a piece of debris set off the Lufthansa side rocket – total fluke that the player cannot control .

Lol @peejaydee27 – I thought that was just your clever way of saying left. I want your life if you try to type left and the first place your autocorrect goes is Lufthansa! I tried until the bitter end (on and off) and only ever got the single 1-birder. I totally agree that I prefer the challenge levels that require skill (v. luck) and those with more than one bird flinging sequence giving potential puppies. But that’s just me. And you. And a few others I can think of. : ) Let’s see what’s in store for us tonight!

Thanks to android 5.0.2 upgrade to my tablet 2 days ago I can now record videos of anything happening on it. Sure could have used a tutorial on setting up youtube for the purpose wink wink @admins.

I do not know about ios system, but on the other side android 5 aka lollipop makes a radical change and you just need one of the many recorder apps from the store to start making vids.

Thanks @micromaxfor the video. Was able to hit the rocket twice but didn’t obtain the one bird solution. Also hit the rocket with two pieces of wood and it pushed the rocket back and didn’t activate.
Obtained the one bird solution three times when a piece of debris flew to the right and started the destruction sequence of the right structure. Fun level to fling.

I’ve been trying for quite some time now and I’ve managed to hit the rocket above the slingshot three times. Once it went off but didn’t set off the other rockets (grrrr….) and two times it was hit but just moved backwards without igniting (grrrrrr…again). I think a one-bird solution is still attainable but man is it tough to get.

Odd level. I don’t think there’s any sweet spot as such so it’s a RNG! I had around 10 flings at the same aiming point and there it was 182k, just like that. Not been able to get a 1 bird result since! Flinging all the birds and getting almost total destruction achieved circa 156k without the top left rocket activating so maybe 190k is possible. GL with the 🐶
