One strategy for Market Mayhem level 13-8 is to speed the Yellow bird through the bush above the level and down the badly-hidden passage. After all the TNT explodes, a simple shot straight ahead with a Yellow bird can bring down the remaining structure. The score in the video below is 127,380.

Taking down the top left platform can yield more than 10k, so a good strategy is to watch your score after two birds and if it’s evident you won’t beat your highscore quickly fling a third bird at the platform.

My best score is 133k with three birds. The last bird gave 14k in that game.

Two Birds got me my highest scores…133,450 and 135,740. On both occasions, I had high 67K scores after the first shot which I think makes the difference. Here’s a screenshot of the remaining debris:

There wasn’t much left except the top left platform. I found that when that is the case, it is probably better to not go for the platform. By itself, it seems to only bring in a bit more then 9K when there’s no other boxes or debris for YB to go on and hit.

By best three bird score was 131700.

The only time the platform nets you > 10K is when it breaks other remaining debris and you carry over and get a board or two. that having been said, riding at 132 if I was at, say, 108 or 109 raw I might give it a shot and get to 130.

Or do like I did and clear the platform with the first bird, then get fallout from that up to 41K or more before taking second shot. If done right, this could almost be a 2 birder this way.

Not my favorite episode in this ongoing drama (gameshow/reality tv/situation comedy?). You only have one shot you can take and you have no control* over what happens from there. It’s an entertaining shot, yes, but it is the same shot over and over again. With a low of 58k to a high of 68k for no apparent reason. I’ve shot it in that slot hard and soft and it doesn’t seem (?) to make any difference. With the last couple of episodes giving you multiple ways to accomplish the task, this one seems restrictive.

*Unless, of course, I’m missing something. Would hardly be the 1st time!

I used the same strategy as the video before I came here. I did not go after the platform with the third bird either. Entertaining level.

I also used the ABNest strategy for this level, thanks. If I didn’t get into the 60k range after the first bird I would reset and try again. Used the third bird a number of times but it didn’t result in a higher score.

It all sounds so easy when described above but I have been at it for weeks and can’t get past 132980, even when first bird scores 69k+, which doesn’t happen very often. When it does I get very excited but the next shot always seems to drop everything up top but not destroy it all, too many sticky remaining. It’s so frustrating but I’m determined to crack 133. We’ll see how it goes. Uuugh!

Amazing @skyhookman! I can’t even reach my personal best of 31K from last year, and now I’m starting to get bored even trying. That repetitive first shot and illogical points system is a bit if a turn off to say the least :(

@peejaydee27 on my iPhone, I’m getting those dropping presents with PU fairly often & perhaps 1 in 4 is with a 3k bonus, so maybe a few more pups will be adopted. I haven’t seen any on my iPad & haven’t played on Android phone. I guess the difference between the iPad & iPhone is that the iPhone is just a few months old & I’ve only played a little Rio whereas I’ve had the iPad almost 2 1/2 yrs.

143510 with two birds.

Same strategy as described by @@skyhookman. This is a tough one to get with two birds. I had only a few of these in a lot of attempts, the previous one giving me only 134k.
