Angry Birds Rio Market Mayhem Walkthrough Level 5 (13-5)

One strategy for Market Mayhem level 13-5 is to fling the Yellow bird straight ahead into the heart of the left structure, detonating the TNT within. Use two more birds to clear the right structure as well. Note that you can also switch the targeting, but it may not yield much more. The score in the video below is 71,300.

Aim the first yellow bird through the middle of the plant on top of the first structure, it carries on through to the far structure and kills the piggies, then aim the red bird at the first structure, and about 3/4 times, he gets the mini-tnt and explodes the structure for an 80k+ 2-birder

I ended up aiming a high-arc red bird to land on the backslash-looking (\) wood piece above the big TNT. If you land right on it, it will detonate and hopefully knock over the whole left structure.

I did mine a little different with 2-birds. First bird high arch so he comes down on the right side of the first structure, hitting either TNT, which takes out the whole structure plus fruit. Red at top part of second structure, breakers through wood, falls on bottom monkey, structure fall, top monkey killed.

After the first shot I have had scores ranging between 37-40k. The second shot is a bit harder to achieve, the wood triangle can block red from reaching the bottom monkey. (I’ve been getting scores between 80k to 82210)

@mikeinmont sorry about being vague. If you read @ltcstanley post, his second shot is the same as mine.(resulting in a higher score then mine). I have added a link to @yuriyigolkin video of this level. His first shot is the same as mine. He uses three birds (instead of two) yielding a higher score.

@sunshine thanks for adding @Yuriyigolkins video. I had been using that strat from the start but was trying to finish on two birds. Just couldn’t get that 2nd shot to cause enough damage but I’ve quite happily moved up by 4k with the 3rd bird :)

Aim the yellow bird straight ahead. Occasionally it will drop down on the right side and roll on to fall on the mini tnt. Then I used the straight ahead red bird to top slanting wood where it managed to get both marmosets.

High arching yellow bird to fall on far back side of the first tower to take out TNT. Red bird straight at second level of second tower. Nothing fancy. Just happened to have high score that I know can be easily beat.

Yellow bird into the wooden box beneath the plant on the left structure, and it would fall on the first marmoset on the left. In some cases, the yellow bird JUST have enough power to roll to hit the tnt and collapse the entire left structure. Some debris will also destroy the slanted wood on the right structure. If done properly, this should give 43k+.

The second red bird then hits the left corner of the remaining tower. With luck, it would kill both marmosets and the whole thing would roll to the right to the ground. I scored 90730 with this method but the left did not collapse well. So I believe perfect execution should give 93k+.

Thanks @hkg, nice strategy. Like you said, 43k after the 1st shot with the slanted wood on the right structure gone.
The 2nd shot was the tougher one, the lower marmoset on the right was very stubborn. I ended up getting him by hitting around the middle of the top half of the right structure.

Thanks for the two bird strategy @hkg. Could not get the little red bird to knock down the right structure and take out all the monkeys. Had to use the white bird. Obtained some good debris points. Thanks also to @comex666 for the video. Aiming tip with the yellow bird was to activate it over the background canopy and it seemed to have more energy to roll on to the tnt box.

Thanks to all actually, but primarily the strategies from @angermanagement & @dbkraemer. I had taken a break from trying to better my score of 81590 since it seemed like a day or more was frustrating enough. A few days later I tried again and got very LUCKY, improving my score by almost 8000 points for 89450 & at least for now in the Top 10 as #9 using 2 birds.

1st as @angermanagement described, through the plant cluster worth 3000 points to travel across to right structure, landing in such a way that those piggies died and structure collapse also got the 2nd 3000 plant cluster bonus points. While I’m not 100% sure of my score at this point, it wasn’t spectacular, maybe just under 30,000 … I’d been here and done that before ;-).

2nd up in a high arc to land on the “\” slanted wooden piece on right side of left structure as @dbkraemer wrote. The large TNT exploded left setting off a chain reaction with the smaller TNT and a lot of destruction of the left structure; it was fully collapsed but debris remained.

There was much less of the left structure remaining than the right. The Highscore is less than 3000 points away, but I had a lot of debris remaining and it seems an even higher Highscore is possible, but alas not by me today on an Android phone. I’d tried this combo other times and other flingers’ strategies and it seems that there is a large L-factor involved here since it seems I did nothing different today with these shots than on any other time.

Thanks to HKG for his strat. After several tries, yellow bird took out left structure, but left slanted wood on second structure. Thanks to little red hitting just right on corner of right structure, most of it fell. I think 95k+ is possible.
