The best strategy for Golden Beachball level 6 is to lob the White bird to bomb the left side of the second marmoset and ricochet through the sand blocks supporting the top structure. In the video, we are fortunate enough to clear the whole level with this shot, but typically the far right marmoset will survive, so snipe him with the next Yellow bird. The score in the video below is 118,980.

122.940 with one bird
Same here. High arching shot with first bird, and the trick is to explode it so the bomb can take out the left side stuff while the trajectory makes the hanging structure fall down and to the right.
In case I am not the only one with an emphatic aversion to lobbing the white pregnant bird into a high arc with plans to have it come down in a narrow passage, here is an alternate method that achieves the same result.
Short version:
1st, White Bird: drop egg on center portion of umbrella so that the egg bounces off and either (1) takes out the floating structure or (2) the structure on the right. Meanwhile,Mama shoots to the right as well, taking out the first 1 or 2 marmosets.
The rest of the birds: same as video.
Here is a screenshot:
click here for a SCREENSHOT depicting where Mama drops her egg, what Mama destroys, and the devastation her egg is about to cause
Don’t get me wrong, the shot is not easy… but its quick and beats lobbing the white bird any day of the week. Plus, you can get 10 attempts this way in the same time it takes to lob the bird once, wait for it to shoot up and back down only to learn that the destruction is not like the video.
Detailed Version– contains tips for getting the egg to land just where you want it, as it will often fly way too high and miss everything:
1st, White Bird: pull the slingshot as little as possible, so that Mama bird shoots out slowly (that’s Tip 1). Aim for the center part of the first umbrella, making sure to get as low as you possibly can to the umbrella (Tip 2). Of course, aim too much to the left and the egg will bounce back leftward doing nothing, while hitting the very right side of the umbrella will send it into the palm tree. Anywhere in the center will do.
The trick is in the two tips… shooting Mama out slowly reduces her momentum. Likewise, dropping the egg while Mama is as close to the umbrella as possible ensures the egg doesn’t pick up too much speed before it hits the umbrella. It may take 2, 3, or 4 dozen tries to get the feel of the shot right, but once you drop the egg with as little force as possible, it won’t fly as far and you can even make subtle adjustments.
For example, a slower egg won’t go as far and is more likely to take out the floating tower (as in the screenshot above), while a faster egg will usually shoot over the tower and take out the marmoset on the right, which you can see here.
loox:
While I’m in agreement with all you’ve stated above, I’m going to admit that, at least for myself, the high lob is easier to fire. The reason for it is simple: on the touchscreen, you have to touch the bird, of course. Now I don’t know about you, once I’ve done that, (at least with my thick fingers), I simply cannot see the bird, nor the amount of launch pressure applied, nor the aiming point. You can no doubt guess that my shot is going to be a stinker. :(
I will admit though, that it sounds like a great technique for the PC/Mac versions, given that your not putting your hand in the way of the play area to control the action. When I purchase the PC version, in the not too distant future, I hope, I’ll bè sure to give it a try, as you’ve sold me on how it seems to work.
@TruckDriver,
Maybe having an ipad makes it a little easier (although I have to then contend with the egg not dropping precisely when i touch the screen.
I can see what you mean… which is why I added that you will need to do it several dozen times until you get the “feel” for it.
It was a pain in the butt for me, too… but I’d rather do anything short of sell my soul to the devil than have to suffer through those shots where you have to lob that white bird into a narrow opening… especially since the iPad egg dropping seems to be buggy for a lot of us.
Good luck. Either way, my score is still only 112k, not great but well above 3 star range. Those white birds get me every time. I even dislike them much more than the boomerang birds which have started to grow on me.
I’ve got a similar score. In the end though, its all about effectiveness, regardless of method. All other considerations are secondary to the goal.
That said, I’m partial to the black bomb bird myself. What’s not to like about blowing up, well, everything!? :-)
@Truckdriver, I realize that your post is just over 2 yrs. old, but I’d like to add my 2 cents worth here, I play on a PC myself and see no need for an alternate shot on this level, the shot as described by the video is more than doable on a PC, possibly even easier to do since the only thing in the way is the mouse cursor. Ciao.
Just like video before I saw it,as it seems to be the logical shot in reference to how the wb works, after several failed attempts…when it does happen though it’s a beautiful thing!
wow, got a good 10k increase with this method! I find now I know where to aim it it is a fairly repeatable shot, it’s just dropping that bomb at the right time that causes the problems!
Definitely a one birder :)
I also got a one birder with this method, as @TruckDriver says its hard to see on the touch screen for the other strat..and I don’t even have fat fingers lol :) also I don’t think.the opening is ” narrow” as everyone seems to say not sure what opening..anyway thanks all for tips! :)
Now, now, @kathy, let’s not be tossing that particular f-bomb around so casually! :-)
Lol @TruckDriver srry you know the saying ” a mouth like a truckdriver ” …..ohhh that f bomb;)!!!;)
And I always thought that it was like a “sailor,” and I’ve been one of them too (WESTPAC ’85, USS Constellation, CV-64)!!!!!!!!
Much as I detest lobbing birds, it really is the best way for this one. You want about a millimetre of space between the bird & the slingshot when you pull it down (sorry, I don’t speak pixels). The rightmost of the 3 “tufts” on top of the bird’s head should be obscured by the sling. Let her fly & drop the egg at the level of the tail of the leftmost marmoset.
There is still alot of luck (the dreaded “L” factor) needed here to take out the right marmoset, via a lucky ricochet of the bird or falling debris. I also found that often one of the pesky ones within the middle structure would survive, so you need a bit of luck with the falling stones too. Happy flinging everyone!
In addition, along with all the other important points, the WB needs to NOT hit the leftmost wooden block at the base of the floating tower but just to the right of it in the sand if possible. In all the videos I’ve seen that gives the WB the best trajectory over to the right side. Also the sweet spot area seems to be just above the marmoset tail pointing up. draw an invisible horizontal line from the leftmost marmoset’s tail and a vertical line from second’s tail. that seems to be the X spot. example vid with 121k demonstrates very well.

thx to @swelld for X spot
same like here

Used the ABN video, thanks @fujitoast. Also thank you @karen68 for the the tips. They helped and also the luck factors comes in to play with the fall of the right side structure to obtain additional points. Fun level to play.
thx swellD for the screens. i made 122.490, in second try.
