Boss fight! Our strategy for Carnival Upheaval level 8-15 is to launch the Red bird to bounce off the rubber in the middle and into the TNT in the top-right. The shower of stones will damage Mauro. Try to score a direct hit on Mauro with Blu. Loft the Yellow bird through the pig-shaped balloons above, dropping the TNT. As necessary, try to hit Mauro with the remaining birds. The score in the video below is 56,190.

I got an awkward/accidental solution that yields a score of 64980.
1. Wait until the head marmoset moves to the lowest platform, and shoot the red bird at the TNT hidden in the huge bird, so that the bursting small stones will hit the marmoset.
2. Still wait until the marmoset moves to some low platform, which is accessible by Blu, and shoot.
3. And comes what’s accidental! I was waiting to shoot the third bird, but the marmoset suddenly began to move extremely fast, so I have to wait longer. During that period, it falls from the lowest platform twice, and, you know, got conquered! BY ITSELF! So I got an extra 40000 points for the four remaining birds, without doing anything.
I tried for a second time, but the same thing didn’t happen, so I expect this to be accidental…

I finally realize that the best solution for this level is PATIENCE. I believe you can open the level and do nothing. Hours later you will automatically get 3-star score.
I retry this level in the following method.
1. Shoot the red bird in the way shown in your video to get around 28000+ score, including two pig ballons & the right TNT.
2. The rest job is WAITING, so long as you can tolerate. I wait for around half an hour, during which the marmoset fell from the lowest platform 4-5 times, each time gaining you around 1000 minor points. So before the last falling, I got around 32000+ score. The final falling earns you 10000 for the marmoset, and 50000 for the five remaining birds.
The reason is, I think, if you observe carefully enough, the platforms are not entirely flat. So when the marmoset jumps on it, there is certain chance it slips, and when this happen on the lowest platform, it falls to earn points and hurt itself.
In summary, so long as you can wait, you can win 3 stars.

That’s crazy! Waiting a half an hour! That’s the easy way out, and it’s no fun. I agree with “Sheng”, using the HIDDEN TNT in the chicken the first time the monkey jumps to the lowest platform is easier bc he gets hitna couple times, not only by the rocks, but the red bird as well bc he gets flung from the explosion right towards him.

It is crazy, but it works i guess. I was trying for a better score, had just done the usual red bird thing, then i lobbed blue at the marmoset. it started jumping around really fast, but then i got a call on my landline, put the iPhone down, and after ~2min i heard the phone make a “high score noise”. Somehow the level ended, and i had 76k! I can only assume the marmoset fell off the platform. I’ll take it, but hmmm…

97810! I used the same method, but was lucky that the stone from the extreme right hit the hidden TNT on the left. I got 32k+ after the first bird, then I waited for 1.5 hours before the marmoset finally died.

I 3 stared this level by hitting the jumping monkey every time and deatroying most everything else. I guess I will tricks now. I also cleared all previous 14 levels in one day and also think this is a very hard level to beat much less 3 star.

I used this method and got 99550. It is very hard to get 28000 with the red bird alone. I have been trying to get that extra little bit to make 100000 but it really is hard.

You can win by using no birds with about 79000. I don’t get how people get 150000. I would suspect that.

It’s all about luck: I shot the red bird as in the video above but instead of popping the right pig-baloon (as in the video) it landed on top of it, bringing the TNT down slowly and right on the head of the marmot (which just jumped to the middle platform). When exploding, the red bird was ‘relaunched’ in on the TNT and pile of rocks on the far right of the screen (as in the video). The second explosion made some of the rocks hit the marmot again. Finally (and here’s the most lucky part), the red bird rolled down to the top platform just before the marmot decided to jump on it. The marmot slipped, fell off it and that’s it. Total score (without waiting) 93240. Advice: keep trying (not waiting) because incredible scores (and nice stories of the defeat) will follow!

Yep, I wish I could get lucky enough to destroy all 4 5000 point balloons with the red bird. I have done 3 and then waited and got 99550. No matter how hard I have tried since then, I can’t break 100,000, but then again you have to be very lucky to do so.

It’s all in the way the cookie or TNT crumbles. Without using the glitch 80k is very hard. You just have to play a lot to get lucky. You can try the bottom bouncy pad or the top one with the red bird and wait but don’t bother if you don’t have about 30,000 after doing so or you will get in the 90s but not 100K.

Also the platforms are sloped, so if you just want to 3 star it, just wait and the marmoset will eventually collect enough damage to get you in the 70s.

I don’t know how you would video something like this, but just aim the red bird for the bouncy pad (either one) and hope for 30,000 at that point and wait with your screen timeout set to never time out and plugged up to your charger.

It’s a wild level.

Has anybody been able to use this method on a Droid based phone?
(btw, the max I can set my screen timeout to is 30 minutes, so I won’t be able to start the level and go to bed like someone was able to do)

You beat the level you just have to knock him off a ledge or destroy him by plummeting him with birds and/or debris.

Thank u, I cant find where I put my other comment, but do u know if there was 45 levels total for the carnival levels? Bc I coulda swore it had two pages of ” coming soon” before this last update. And wen the update came it was only 15 levels…?

I think you’re mind is playing tricks on you. There are 30 levels in each episode of Rio. There are however two Coming Soon screens in the original version within Mine and Dine.

73,220 and I didn’t sit for 30 mins trying to let the game win for me! I aimed the red bird as in the video but it hit 2 balloons and made the TNT gently go down and luckily hit the marmoset! Blue bird aimed close and set it off to hit marmoset. Yellow bird aimed at remaining floating TNT and flew into TNT with rocks on the half loop setting off rocks which took him out! Left with 3 birds!

90170 with one bird. Can’t explain in proper English how I pulled it off though, but I’ll try anyway….. I shot the first bird up in about a 45 degree angle, hitting the purple and blue trampoline at the end. Bird bounced up, hitting the pink and green baloon of the floating TNT on the right and landed between the blue baloon and the pig baloon, pushing it further down. Then I guess everything fell into place ’cause I was at work helping a few customers and as soon as I was done I had a three star highscore!

Similar thing happened for me. After the TNT hanging from the balloons fell, he bumped the TNT at the far right which shot the small rocks at him, then he jumped down to the next platform where some of the small rocks landed which killed him. Got 95490 with just the red bird in only a few seconds :)

I hit 77k with 3 birds left. The trick is to get the first 2 birds to bounce on and wreak havoc. Then bring in mister yellow bird to clean up the mess and take out that monkey!

89080 with 2 birds. I used the first red bird to get it on one of the ledges. With some luck, the boss just kept jumping on it and hit it about 3-4 times. Then use the Blu bird at the right moment and hit the boss with it until defeated.

Something Epic happened during that boss once, somehow I managed to get the monkey to juggle Blue on his head… and causing damage to him in the process…

I got a score of 79,800 with no birds used.

I opened the level and put my iTouch in its charging dock. I went to bed. The next morning I had the three-star screen. So there’s no need to use even the first bird. I repeated the charging dock ploy several times and what happens is the monkey does eventually slip and injure himself, and the points add up, spelling its doom. It took about ten to twenty minutes each time for this to happen.

3 starred this by exploding the top pile of stones behind the monkey when it was on the top step. It was a fluke, but it got a score of 75,950 with three birds used (could possibly do it in one if you aim right.)

79810. Didn’t launch a single bird. Took maybe two minutes, the monkey fell on to the balloons on the upper platform and bounced away until he died. Keep in mind I prob replayed that level about 50 times!

Not sure exactly how it worked, but got 87920 with the red bird only. I tried to launch the bird just as I sense that the marmoset was about to jump from the 4th platform from left to the number six platform. I lucked out that the bird hit him while he was still in mid-hop. This pushed him into the side of #6 platform. The pig balloon popped, the marmoset fell from one platform from right to left till it hit the second platform with balloons which finally caused him to bounce off completely. Five birds remaining. I don’t think I can duplicate this again as it took me hundreds of tries to get the timing right.

Thats probably the best but if you cant 3 star it, just use 0 birds. Set your screen where it wont shut off and you will 3 star it within an hour.

69,290. Hit the boss in midair with the Blu bird. Since the boss has nothing to stand on, and the Blu bird goes crazy, it throws the boss and you win with 3 birds left.

75,000. 1 bird.
I shot the red bird on an arc, bouncing it off the rubber platform. It hit the boss on the upswing off the rubber, and proceeded to bounce back and forth between the boss and the rubber platform, continuously hitting him. It then shot wildly into the air, knocking a few TNT barrels down, which hit the boss, killing him.

Wow! 163880. Not sure what happened after I followed the low level attack method. Hit the hidden TNT and sprayed him pretty good. Got him with Blu and then took out the 1st green balloon for the points. Left the Droid on the table and came back to the points.

Here, this way was much better for me. waited for him to jump down the lower platform, then waited a few more seconds and shot the red bird at the higher bouncy thing. Hit the marmoset, giving me some points, the bounced off and hit the tnt. Didn’t get me too many points, but I waited and then a few stray rocks hit him and then he died. Got 50,000 for the extra birds with 85,000 points.

got just a few thousand shy of 100,000 with the way of getting 25k ish with the ballons and tnt on first bird and letting it run for about 3-4 hours until it killed itself by hopping around. just walked by and it was on the 3 star screen.

4 levels? Do you mean 4 episodes? (As in Smugglers Den, Jungle Escape, Beach Volley and Carnival Upheaval). Because that’s 120 levels right there. What device are you using?

I was using the usual wait-half-an-hour-until-the-marmoset-self-destructs strategy, but something unusual happened near the beginning that netted me a few thousand extra points. I noticed that the TNT had somehow exploded even though I hadn’t fired any birds and all of the rest of the level was completely intact; unfortunately, I wasn’t looking when it happened. Does anyone know if the marmoset can fall far enough off the first platform to either hit the TNT or somehow knock a rock or balloon into it?

I think it’s a green balloon that comes up from below to set off the TNT. I saw the explosion, and there were pieces of balloon mixed in.

I scored 81000 by doing the following…

Red bird aimed at the bouncy platform, bounced up and hit the Marmoset. Complete fluke. It then fell onto the pig balloon on the far right between the platforms.

I fired the crazy blue bird along te same line. It hit the bouncy platform and went up and popped the smaller pink balloon holding and pig balloon and floating TNT. The same blue bird fell back onto same bouncy platform and went up to hit the other floating TNT (nearest to slingshot). The remaining floating TNT drifted off to the right.

I fired the yellow bird over to hit the TNT at the far right of the screen by the small rocks. You can aim to do this at the same time as hitting the floating pig balloons if they are still there. I hit the TNT which sent the rocks back across the screen hitting the Marmoset and the sole remaining pig balloon near the bouncy platform. The marmoset was actually knocked of the platform onto the ground. It then jumped back onto a platform.

Then I got lucky. Before firing the Black bird at the TNT on the back of the metal bird to scatter more rocks at the Marmoset, the first pig balloon that had floating TNT attached randomly drifted back onto the screen from the right. As my luck was in the marmoset was jumping around quite quickly now and hit the TNT destroying the last balloon and killing itself.

I got bonus points for having the black, small blue and White birds left. I did get lucky but I didn’t want to glitch the level. I worked on the theory that the pig balloons were the marmosets lives as I have scored numerous direct hits but not actually seeing any real progress.

Keep trying. Get lucky.

I still hate, hate, hate this level. Have tried everything suggested and am still 5K short of 3 stars. It is the only level, in all three games, that I have not three starred. ERRR. Does the letting it sit still work? I’m getting desperate.

Just redid it, started by following Sheng, but it took me at least 3 birds to get the dynamite. Ended up using all the birds, and just squeaked by. Good luck. Take a break, and try first thing in the morning. : )

I try it every so often, as to not get too frustrated. I’m going to extend the sleep time on my phone this morning and try it again. Thanks! It makes me crazy to have had this level open for all these months! The boss fight on Smuggler’s Plane was a cake walk. :)

The marmoset got stuck in a patern by the baloon platform I bounced my red bird off when I got a direct hit with the ice birds. the ice birds kept bouncing and he just kept getting hit unable to move. Lobbed the bomb and direct hit killed him. Only 30 minutes of trying, thanks!tried it again and waited till he was by the ballon platform again and it worked, same deal.

I got 64,300 with only two birds lukily.
First I shoot the red bird to the bottom tnt.
Then, I place Blu to the middle.
Maruo steps and steps on Blu.

After three days of trying to beat this level, I got Mauro with ONE bird! The red bird bounced up to the tnt and the rocks knocked Mauro off the top platform. I wish I would have recorded it, but I did get a screen shot of the final score. (84050)

This level is all about TIMING. When Mauro is on the bottom 3 platforms, that is the time to strike. Hitting the tnt on the end when Mauro is on the top platform can be fatal to him. Hit as many pig balloons as you can to increase your score.

I have hit Mauro with the egg, with the red bird with exploding rocks with the bomb, with TNT and he will not die. Just throws up some yellow stars.

Do nothing. Just wait – a long time – but I scored 83650. I had it turned on, forgot about it for a few minutes, next thing I know I get “Level completed” with that score. Watching it a second time, I think I got lucky on the random explotion of TNT in the big bird while he was on the lowest platform, and it took him out. Going to try to get it legit.
