Carnival Upheaval level 8-13 is pretty challenging. Our strategy is to lob Blu into the marmoset hanging from the balloons. The left tower should fall leftward onto the TNT. Fire the first Yellow bird into the hollow wooden square of the top structure, causing it to topple to the right. Hopefully, the TNT in the bottom-right should trigger and take out the big marmoset. Launch the next Yellow bird straight ahead, taking out the first marmoset you come across. If necessary, use the Red bird. The score in the video below is 83,120.

I got very lucky with the blue bird. Dropped it between the towers and it took out EVERYTHING!

Tried to get the one bird solution but usually ended with the lower big monkey remaining. Used two birds. Used the tail of the blue bird with the white spot on the stand as an aiming aid. Fun level to play but it takes a bit of luck with debris for the one bird solution.

I found that when looping the blue bird over, it helped to wait for the monkey on the balloon to fly over to the right – makes it easier to get the bird through the gap!

Got 86k clearing up the rest with yellow and red.

If you launch the first bird precisely when the blue balloon is at it’s furthest left (for the second time), the gap will be wide open. This makes it easier to time while you are completely zoomed in, as the blue balloon is still visible.

Another really fun level with lots of different strats available. I shot blue bird straight thru the blue balloon string and it hits about at the two vertical planks there, the thicker one and the skinny one sitting side by side. It spazzes out and falls backwwards and ignites bottom tnt, meanwhile the first structure pushes completely forward and debris/wood got middle hanging middle monkey and the big one at the bottom sitting on the box and the middle bottom set of tnt. Second bird at second structure to come thru the empty wooden square by floating monkey on pink balloons. This takes out the rest including monkey on ballooons and also pushes the structure over for more debris points. There are a few different outcomes here…sometimes on the first shot, when blue falls back and ignites first tnt…one of the stones flies up and way over and sets off far right tnt and a stone flies into the right side of the second structure, it’s pretty cool. Also sometimes after the debris falls right the green ballopn will float up and kill the pink balloon monkey.

Hi @lesleyg, I have to tell you that for me this has been one of the most fastidious levels I have ever played and finally after over 5 hours playing it, I was able to up my score to a decent amount. Of course, I followed your advice and methodology and give you a hearty thank you.

@sadbird – I’m very glad I helped you achieve your Nice Score on this level ;-) It seems I may have to have another go at it and get my score up! I’ll have to come back to it as I am still trying to get caught up on the more recent updates…actually not recent, I just haven’t had the time to finish them yet, lol ;-) I’m currently working on finishing the Rio Bonus levels…Then I will have reached my goal of getting at least “Above Average” in all levels for Rio! I have finished this on AB Space and ABSW but I need to work on Season’s and ABO. I have a long way to go in ABO ;-) Happy Flingin’ ;-D

U wanna hit the monkey and the right structure at the same time when the monkey is tight to it. 117-121k is possible.

I waited for the pink balloons to get to the far right, then lobbed the blue bird in the gap to hit the bottom left vertical wood block on the top right/middle structure. This sent the top structures breaking down & out, taking out all the TNTs (a little lady luck needed here too I think) & all the marmosets except for the one hanging from the structure in the very middle of the level. A straight shot with the yellow bird took him out. Score 102K with the possibility for a bit more.

You have to wait until the monkey moves to the right of course. Otherwise you would always hit this bloody bastard first! ;)

16 months later and this strat finally paid off in a 1-birder. Getting the timing right to miss the marmoset and still collapse both structures is the key. The floating marmoset was killed by the collapsing right structure, not blue. With the front TNT untouched and some debris left there are definitely more points to be squeezed out.

I’d been strategerizing without referring to these walkthroughs and was playing with one similar to @lesleyg and popped a 105
first bird just under balloon hitting the hollow square block, best to wait until balloon is at closest point to structure.
Second went through the first hollow square on the right structure and hit the solid vertical support, the rest of the structure pushed right, hit the TNT of to the right, something rolled to the TNT below and killed the big Marmie – Shock The Monkey!
