Our strategy for Carnival Upheaval level 7-9 is to launch Blu into the side of the left tower. Follow suit with the first Black bird along the same trajectory, destroying the entire left structure. Fire the next Black bird into the base of the right structure. If necessary, loft the last Black bird onto the roof of the right structure to push it rightward. The score in the video below is 127,330.

140,970 – followed the tutorial, but the 2nd blackbird wiped out almost the entire concrete structure – I used the 3rd blackbird to take out the marmoset holding the balloons. When you launch the 3rd blackbird, he doesn’t quite go far enough to hit the balloons, so you need to detonate him as near to the balloons as possible to finish off the last marmoset

Got 155610. Followed video but got a lot more destruction with 1st and 2nd blackbirds. Third bird took out the ballon marmoset

you can make much better use of the first blue bird, launch it up and land in between the structures where the wood is, this can damage and move a lot of the stones as well, then use the black birds to destroy the structures and the balloons, I scored 142830 using this way with 1 bird left.

I also used the first blue birds for better use like Dunk1987 mentions, aim them high to land in the middle, at the wood, this can get you up to 35K points which is more destruction then aiming them at the concrete, then aimed second bird at middle of first structure and third at the middle of last structure but you have to manually detinate so debris will fly over and hit last monkey as well.

So far I’m at 141400. My thoughts: you want the blue bird to go as far down between structures as possible. This means he just barely clears stone triangle on left structure. On iPad, I pull him down so tail points ~1/3 the way from right to left on dark blue triangle in left-center of sling-shot platform covering. Not sure that I’ve got 2nd and 3rd shots optimized. Did get >140K with 4 birds.

@misterparon great video, it shows the strat I’ve been using.
1st bird – like the walkthrough video though I usually got more destruction, it helps if you can nudge the right side a bit as things shift around. Score – I’ve had anything from a couple thousand to over 50k, depends what Blu wants to give you.
2nd bird – into what remains of the left side, a good spot to aim for is on or through the lowest hollow stone block on the left. Your goal is to completely clear out the left side including the monkey in the middle, he needs to be gone. Score ideally around 80k.
3rd bird – surprise, it’s a tricky one. Aim for the edge of the horizontal stone plank, you need to break that plank & you can get through to the gap where the monkey is hanging & detonate immediately, it can send the tower up & out to the right to get the last marmoset & lots of debris points. I’ve only made this shot effectively a few times but each time I’ve broken 150k.

Thanks for post and the tips. @karen68 Was able to hit the horizontal plank and drop into the gap. Getting the bomb bird into the gap was the challenge. Aiming tip is to zoom in and line up the bird with one of the folks in the background. There was one who had a little white dot and I used that. Helps you hit the plank.

Thanks for the detailed strategy on this one @karen68. It played out just the same for me. Tip about breaking thru concrete plank with bird 3 esp. useful. Sure there will be better scores to follow, but quite happy with a puppy.

2 Strats (2 birds-based):
1) Start as Karen68 explains. I’ve got 60k with Blue almost cleaning all left side. The 2nd bird (well-timed) must hit the space between the 2 square stone blocks on the right. I’ve say well-timed because the ballon-hanging marmoset must be aproaching (to his left) when you sling the 2nd bird. The risght structure will fall to that side. Your choice to blow/hit anything else.
2) The most effective to me:
Aim Blue a little higher than the video OR aim to hit ONLY the lower marmoset (the base of the left structure) trying (again, ONLY) to kill him and the one upon him. The black bird must be inm for the central space between structures and be detonate when reach the real center of the entire structure. This blow up and kill all marmosets even the floating-one. The “exact” point for that make the right side to fall over him. Again, your choice to spend more birds on the rests but remember the most scoring ones are the square-stone ones and to aim to the base instead for mayor destruction.
For high scores the spending of one more bird its a must.

I was working on the 3-bird strategy after watching misterparon’s video. I started aiming higher with the first bird, as that often creates a nice pocket for the 2nd bird. Then on my last attempt, ithe first bird, aimed higher, cleared a path to the far right, so I went with the 2-bird strategy for 152k.

@mlm1016 I just cruised into 75th past @kelani and was quite surprised to see another fellow flinger right behind, also passing @kelani. You going through and bumping up scores too? Wasn’t sure if anyone was active in RIO anymore ….
