Angry Birds Rio Blossom River Star Bonus Walkthrough Level 3

This is our walkthrough video for Angry Birds Rio Blossom River Star Bonus Level #3. The level is unlocked by earning 50 stars in Blossom River. One strategy is to fling the white bird into the cave on the far right side, dropping the egg bomb so that the white bird bounces up into the small opening to the left the boat that’s standing on end. Now fling the next white bird straight ahead and drop the egg bomb so he flies up into the upper right hand cave, trigger the release of the marmosets glider. Finish the level off with bomb bird low into the main structure. The score in the video below is 174,420.

same as video….. really you need to get every scrap of stuff possible with the first 2 shots…. like the barrel and wood plank that still remain in the walk thru need to be gone…. i found that dropping the egg A TINY BIT sooner then the video shows helps your chances of destroying all the stuff on the left.

other then that, sometimes a flying block from the explosion of the glider can help…. but i’d say you want somewhere in the 95-100k range after the first two shots

oops that was member CRASH speaking…. my girlfriend has been kicking my butt all over the place on this episode…but i’m in charge of entering in the scores….
. i had the lead on this board for a couple of minutes…. we both in top 10 on this one tho !! —

Note to self: when unable to get a 3* after numerous tries, check the walkthroughs! I had been trying this level bombing the first white bird into the top cave and then doing it again to set off the bombs above. No wonder I was unable to move beyond 2*. Three tries like the video and I have 3* and a lot more gray hair than needed. ;-)

So true, me too, including the grays!!…3 birdies finished the level and I improved considerably from never getting past 2 stars. Walkthroughs are great!!

@silverbird Did you play this level like the walkthrough or did you use a different stratedgy? I’m trying to improve my score ,but not having much luck, any tips that would help, I’d appreciate :)

Just like the walk-through, @kathy, but you really have to destroy almost everything. I continued to play this one periodically, and could get over 186k rarely, but never close to the 188k. Go girl!

There I was, innocently, sitting in… well, let’s say in a private place, going through motions, that is, playing in a semi-automatic mode when it hit me, a top score. I’m sure I was not any more expecting anybody to get one during this challenge, least of all myself.

So what went differently? The first two shots were exactly the same old… except the leftmost small stone blocks were cracked. I decided, in a moment of inspiration – feeling like young Pèle on a green field – to go the the upper route. Incredibly the stones gave way to BB and the wood plank under them as well… BB exploded close to deck and the carnage was like nothing I had seen all day.

@Sweetp, hit me, with a puppy… of course just figuratively, no puppy deserves such cruelty.

Ahh, I guess you were in your secret hiding place flinging away again! Heehee! Nice score, too. Funny how those sneak up on you when you least expect it, right!?

Using video as this seems to be the only viable strat. Classic rinse and repeat, and almost gave up on getting a higher score after hundreds of attempts. With 15 minutes to go on the challenge suddenly got a 2-birder for 89K+. Part of the right side toppled after bird 1 and the tnts exploded. Second bird took out everything else.

Having trouble uploading pic of tally screen so will post as soon as it’s done.

Awesome score, @peejaydee27! Just a little note, that I had a problem viewing the screenshot at first, as it took a very long time to load on my monitor. The size may be too large, so in the future you should lower the resolution to reduce the file size and it shouldn’t give you any problems. Congrats on your puppy. :)

Ah ok @sweetp – maybe that’s why it took so long to upload. Not sure what I did differently though, as I always follow the same procedure. Snap a screen shot (on iPad Air), upload it to my album, then copy and paste the link. Anyway, I’ll see what happens next time (assuming I ever earn another puppy lol).
