Our strategy for Beach Volley level 5-12 is to launch the first Black bird into the vertical stone blocks near the base of the first tower, causing the whole thing to be demolished. Fire the next Black bird into the bottom of the middle tower, coming to rest on the left marmoset. Use the White bird to bomb the sand blocks under the last tower. The score in the video below is 148,060.

Finally ! same method but with lots of practise I managed to score 151,060 Good Luck
1st bird (black): lob the bird in between towers 1 and 2. Manually ignite as soon as it hits the ground. Tower 1 and part of tower 2 must collapse.
2nd bird (black): usually there is still a marmoset dangling between the half-wrecked tower 2 and tower 3, so aim to have the bird land on it. If done correctly everything should be gone.
3rd bird (white): 10k.
Total score: from 136k to 146k. Never thought I would be this sick. :P
ty @bullet for the strat. Blackbird barely touching shank of slingshot, should pass through marmoset’s feet and foliage to land at bottom of sand triangle (its a very tight shot) should look for at least 90,000, first and second tower will collapse. Second shot as described by bullets0000
to land between dangling marmoset and nestling on vertical stone, manually detonate to take out remaining marmosets and sand on rhs.
there is a photo in my album showing what is left on the lhs, very little left on rhs although you can’s see it.
Nice score @windwalker. Thanks for the aiming tip on the first bomb bird. It is necessary to get him just past the top of the first tower without hitting the horizontal plank, changing the trajectory to land on the middle plank of the second tower. After a few dozen resets, I finally got it and ended with a pretty good score! Now I can rest my overly tired flingers and fly over to the BP for some libations!
I got a one-birder a few times this way, but it yielded only 122-124k because there wasn’t enough debris damage. So far, my best score is 139k. I’ve got a bit more flinging to do!
Ty @SweetP, have had so much help from others on various walkthroughs that it is nice to be able to return the favour.
For those of you that are having a tough time getting the first bomb bird all the way down to the bottom between the first and second tower, here’s an easier method…
Pull the slingshot back just a little below horizontal. Aim at the thick vertical block below the marmoset. You’ll want to hit the thin vertical piece and detonate manually. The object is to get one of the cement pieces to take out the triangle sand block under the left corner of the middle tower. Both towers will collapse to the left, giving you a clear shot for the next BB.
Here is a screen shot of what it looks like: Bird 1
Good luck!
160,370 so far using this strategy. Here is the screenshot of destruction caused by first BB shot: http://angrybir.de/16onfVn. Second bird shot was kinda obvious, slightly elevated trajectory toward near monkey, detonated when it reach small sand hill.
I have 148140. Pretty sure I did same method as video. I’m trying to up my score. Anyone above 150k care to share? Also to add tapping TP explode first bird as soon as hits the blocks seems to score higher.
Looks like in the first post the player used the same method for a score of 150k +.
Got 151,270, but scores in the upper 150k range must be a 2 bird solution…
I shot the black bird in between the 1st and 2nd towers. It took both of them down. Aim the other black bird at the last tower.
146850…frst black into bottom of first tower..like in the sand bottom,
..second also directly into bottom of second tower, third wb drop egg at bottom and fires bird to take down tower 3:)gl
I found that the “go left to right” method wasn’t very effective.
144400…I got lucky and got it with two birds! First one low into left tower…right at the first vertical stone from the bottom, second one low into next tower, aim right at the half stone and half sand square. Got lucky and stones flew up and took out right tower too! repeated twice for mid 140’s.
if u hit the 1st tower a bit higher it will also take down the 2nd tower, 2nd shot in the corner of whats left between 2nd and 3rd tower
for the high score u need to get the perfect shot between 1st and 2nd tower to go as low to the sand not to break the 3rd tower also, 2nd shot needs to be at the sand at the left of the 3rd tower its doable!
@crivit, I am a little confused. Does your second post contradict your first? Is the first bird low, or a lob between the towers? Thanks in advance!
hiya @bonneypattycat, the 2nd strat worked better for me, but the 1st one worked better for others. Keep em flinging, cool to see a new Rio fan!
Thanks @crivit, I will have to give the lob a try, can’t seem to get past 149k using HallieGinSB’s strategy.
If the lineup starts with two black birds and ends with a white bird I want a two-bird solution if possible! I aimed the first bird at the two vertical stones, one thick and one narrow, just below the marm at the left (the pair of vertical stones above the ones targeted in the video), and manually detonated after it broke through the narrow stone. A good shot will take down all of the first structure and most of the second structure, leaving only the right 3 marms and very little debris at the left. Score typically in the high 80s at this point. For the second shot, I did a high lob either to the left or right of the one marm remaining on the second structure and detonated at the sand level between the two structures. My best score was achieved with a good placement of the bird to the left of the marm, as it took out all of the debris in the middle well as well as blew the right structure to smithereens. I love those black birds!
A belated congrats @hallieginsb! Thank you for the strategy, especially the tip on the first bird. I haven’t had much luck with second shot yet, but I managed my 149k score by only obliterating the first tower, then getting very lucky with the second bird taking out middle and right towers.
If any fellow latecomers are reading this, if you only take out the first tower with little or no damage to the middle tower, try aiming 2nd bird to top of first sand hill, no further, then manually detonate. No top score, but it can get you above average.
@bonneypattycat glad the tip on the first bird helped you. I’ve made my peace with the white birds, but I still would rather not use them if I don’t have to, so I was really hoping a two-bird strat would yield a good score. The black birds are more reliable, not to mention just plain fun!
Great strat @hallieginsb! Thanks for sharing it. You are still at the #1 spot at this point in today’s challenge. After eons of flinging and restarting, I did finally raise my previous score by 5k! On these challenges, it is at least satisfying to be able to raise a previous score, even if it doesn’t reach the Top Dog spot. This level is very difficult to get higher scores. It is definitely a combination of skill and a bit of luck along the way. The 2nd shot is the most touchy – to be able to get the bomb bird angled just right to knock out the sand and 3rd tower. I was getting over 90k on 1st shot and sometimes even over 100k, only to not get the 2nd bird to land just right. Thanks again.
@gypsybird I’m with you on that 2nd shot – I’ve also had huge 95k+ scores after the 1st bomb only to have the 2nd one fail to do it’s job. I’ve tried lobbing it over & throwing fairly straight towards what’s left of the 2nd tower. At least I’ve managed to improve some.
I’ve also been trying the high lob to land between the 1st & 2nd towers but can only get it to drop to the top of the sand before it detonates. I did get a couple of 1-birders this way for a max score of 138k.
@hallieginsb thanks for the tips. That’s a wonderful score you’ve got, it must have looked very impressive when it happened! :)
@Hallieginsb Sorry, I played through Rio only once many, many months ago. @annach goaded me into entering my scores today. I didn’t know there were some top scores in there. Look on the bright side, If I had put the score in when I got it, you would be minus one cute puppy.
I don’t know the strategy I used to get this score. Truth is, I don’t remember this level at all. Ha ha
@rat9 Nice score! You must have done it with two birds. As it turns out, I got and posted my score a few months before this level was the daily challenge, so I didn’t get an underdog for it anyway!
When I used the strat described above in my Dec. 2012 post, my score was 163,640. Replaying this level on a new device now, some 8 years later, I am unable to score more than about 150k with this strat. I now find asher’s strat posted below from Dec. 2020 yields more destruction, and I used it for my current score of 160k.
one bird, but only 127000. high arc so bb just hits left bottom ledge of middle tower.
I am finding that if I hit low on first tower (break through two vertical slabs and just touch sand before detonating) it is destroyed without moving second tower. 55k+ here 60k better. Next shot should hit a bit higher, near middle of second structure. If all goes well (doesn’t always happen) everything will tumble right to finish off with 145,000 plus 10k bonus for white bird we want to avoid when possible anyhow. ;) Don’t have a top score to post yet but very happy with 156k. I have tried the lob shots between the two towers but I just can’t get bird down to sand base…good luck! :)
Looking for a 100% total destruction. No walkthrough. Any advice
166590 with two birds.
The trick is with the first bird.
I used to try between the two towers, but it was impossible not to hit the second tower, and then, on one try Bomb went through the marmoset on top on the first tower and from there it went down vertically between the two towers. It was time for some more experimentation.
So, after a few more tries it seems that the good trajectory is through the marmoset and the small stone block on the right of the beach ball. Bomb should explode on his own just before touching the sand, collapsing the two towers.
I had up to 109k after the first bird with results varying wildly.
This is the trajectory and 109k result .
Then, the second Bomb is between the remaining of the middle tower and the right one. This one is manually detonated before touching down.
Here is the final result for the Daily Challenge.
And this is highscore screenshot.
All the screenshots are also available in high res here in one set.
@sweetp
Thanks for posting your strategy @asher. Worked well in getting the score above average. Got a few one bird solutions but the scores were lower.
