This is our walkthrough video for Angry Birds Rio Beach Volley Star Bonus Level #7. The level is unlocked by earning 30 stars in Beach Volley. Loft a Red bird high, targeting the small TNT on the right side of the level. Only two marmosets should remain, easily popped using a well-split Blue bird thrown straight ahead. The score in the video below is 79,170.

There is one hint about this one – you have to hit the glass slab holding up the hanging marmoset on the way down to the tnt (like the vid does) or it just won’t work. You won’t break it, but you have to weaken it.
It’s not obvious but he is a ninja marmoset with mad survival skills.

First bird aimed to leftmost ape, hitting the junction between horizontal wood and tiny sqare wood piece. Took out the 3 apes counted from left. Then aimed second with pretty late split, bottom one killed hanging ape going through the glass sqaure, one of the upper two activated TNT with nice fallout ang taking out remaining ape. Two remaing birds +20K

This is definitely a better strategy, works more reliably and gives higher scores than the video walkthrough strategy. There is also a potential for a one-birder with this strategy, I got it once, but the score was lower than my best two-bird score.

Hi @bonneypattycat, yes just kept at the same strategy until I got a lucky hit. It took a long time and was really frustrating but eventually it worked. Kept trying for even more but could not pull it off. Seriously don’t know how +90k was achieved, I too would love to hear how it was achieved.

Details for Nook Color:

Zoom all of the way in. Pull red bird down until the edge of his white belly is just touching the line where the white surf and the blue water meet. Release. This should take out the three left marmosets as @emider describes.

Pull blue bird down until the bottom of the sling is a pixel or two away from touching the beach. Release. If done correctly and timed right, you can split blue so that the left bird of the trio breaks the glass plank above the hanging marmoset and the other birds detonate the TNT.

Thanks for the strat @emider ;-) I came to finally finish the Rio Bonus levels and with just a few flings I improved to 87030. I aimed Red at the junction between the front wood as you described. I did get the left three monkeys… however, the middle section landed kinda weird. There was a lot left and it was “propped” up & leaning left. I really didn’t think I had a shot at a decent score…It wasn’t looking good but I sent bb’s in anyway, flinging pretty much straight in and split late. I had a great second bird shot! I’m not sure exactly which bird hit what but they knocked down some of the middle and ignited the tnt, but I think what made the score higher was that the last tower fell inward, so that the concrete chopped up a lot of the middle wood ;-)

@Bonneypattycat I maxed out at 85K following video, so have been reversing the shots. Haven’t broken 90K yet, but doing so with this strat is definitely possible. If you lob red just to the left of the highest marmoset, it can break the top board, go through a second board and break the ice of the hanging marmoset (rare, but is possible). Hitting too far right, red can sometimes break (or damage) the ice on the way to the TNT. Shooting straight for the TNT (or for the hollow block to the right) has potential, but I don’t believe enough damage is done to the structures for 90K+ scores. Second bird low and split late so two birds go below the low horizontal board (breaking ice to undermine the structure) and one above it to take out vertical ice. Good luck passing 90K if you want to try.

Thanks for the reply @abeggertoo! I tried for a long time reversing the shots a while back, but still could not get much more than 80k. Went back to the video method and finally had a bit of luck for 88k. That was a happy day, but it is still driving me crazy trying to figure out how to get 98k!

Weird game, this one. Neither of the strats above worked for me, too much debris left. So I used all the birds, working from the left to the right. I took a few retries, in AB english that means between 100 and 200, I think, lol. 86k yet.

@bonneypattycat, here’s an example of a one-birder. On my review of these bonus games, I game to this one. Got completely frustrated, insane, etc. Had to use 4 birds for my bloody 86k. Then I read your comment about scores over 90k. Since no made effort to report his one-birder, I will. However, it’s score is not special. I approached this level differently from the video and the other strats.

First bird to the tip of the left horizontal wood plank where the second marmoset from the top is standing on the first structure. Everything starts falling to the right and either the little piece of wood or the glass block falls on the TNT sets it off and the Big ugly Marmoset goes bye-bye, there should only be the leftmost marmoset remaining.

Second bird to where best suited to your needs to finish the pesky marmoset, I usually send the blue bird to the glass block in front of the marmoset and split just before impact for maximum damage.

2 birds left over for 20000 points bonus.

This strategy will eventually get you a 1 bird kill shot, as I’ve already had a few with scores in the 80 to 84k range and the big one has to be just around the corner.

@sadbird; This is what I came across on my own since I couldn’t get the vid or first strat to work and didn’t bother to scroll down 8*) Finally got me > avg at 82,5. I have had some one birders, barely 3-starring.

then I started in on hitting the second horizontal plank, low arc, breaking the board and pushing everything toward the TNT and popped an 86. Think I’m done with this one for now, proved myself > avg so onward and upward.

Certainly found a lot of ways to get to 76K in the process!

Oh by the way – destruction on first bird is key, above 50K is necessary since you really don’t get more than 5K for the last marmie and 5-8K for additional collateral damage.

Used your strategy @sadbird thanks for posting. The challenge for the first bird was getting over 50k in points. It all depends on the fall of the debris and a bit of luck. Nice level to fling.

and after make the 99k i read the strat from @sadbird
i use this strat also.
first bird near the corner on left horizontal wood plank (between the first and second ape).
bird break the wood, hit the glass-square and roll to the left.
the tower fall to the right, TNT explode, 63k.
second bird low, split late and destroy a lot of glass and last ape.
