Angry Birds Rio Airfield Chase Walkthrough Level 11 (9-11)

The best strategy for Airfield Chase level 9-11 is to fire Big Brother slightly downward and through the sand blocks under the left structure. If done correctly, the whole left side should be destroyed. Launch the White bird far, dropping the bomb just right of the gas can. The explosion should clear the level. The score in the video below is 81,870.

Note! With the v1.3.1 update Rovio flip-flopped level 9-10 and 9-11, hence why the level number in the video below shows “9-10”. The walkthrough is correct though and the leaderboard entries have all been switched to reflect this change.

I scored 88670. approach is the same but there is one trajectory of the big red bird that continues to travel forward and knocks down all remaining obstacles. Only took the first bird…!

I haven’t got the lucky shot, but I got 91130 with a slightly different method than the video. Instead of bombing between the last two birds, you can aim just in front of them and have the white bird shove everything in front of it.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to place this but I wanted it to be noticed.
Now that it appears that all versions have been updated with the “correct” 9-10 and 9-11 levels, how are you (the geniuses that run this site, and I mean that sincerly) going to ensure that the scores for these levels are correct. I can’t imagine that it will be easy or pretty. The only way I can think of is to “wipe” all scores for these 2 levels and make everyone re-enter them. Yes, this will be a pain, but I am one who is willing to re-enter 2 scores to ensure the validity of the leaderboards. If this is the way you guys go with it, it would be nice to place a notice on the homepage to let everyone know that there has been a change to the leaderboards.

Sure, we understand this is an issue. I plan on having a bit of a conversation with BirdLeader about this soon — though we will likely wait another week or so, since there are some lingering issues with the Android v1.3.2 update.

In general, the possible scores for 9-10 and 9-11 are quite different. Level 10 can go as high as 110k+, whereas level 11 probably maxes out around 96k (I’m using manu malin as a reference). I’ve had a pretty good thought recently about how to figure out who has them backwards, but I’m not sure if it’s possible in the database. Nonetheless, we appreciate your input. We would rather not wipe those two levels completely, but it could be a decent solution if all else fails.

AMslimfordy, I completely understand not wanting to wipe out the 2 levels. I can imagine quite a few complaints coming your way. But I think if you explain to us that this may be the only way to verify the scores, I think most would understand. I can see why Rovio swapped the levels, but boy, did that open a can of worms regarding the leaderboards.
With the wide range of scores that can overlap, not sure how you can ensure the right score goes into the correct level. (besides the obvious).
I appreciate all you guys do with this site, I check in almost everyday.
btw, has any one confirmed that Manu Malin is really human? His scores are unreal!

I understand, but like I said, I think I have a seamless way of identifying who is amiss. It’s just a matter of whether the database will make it easy …. or if I’ll have to do them by hand (500+ users would be exhausting).

And I don’t think manu is human. He is likely an aviary cyborg whose goal in life is to make other Rio players feel inadequate by displaying his awesome superiority. ;)

I got a great score using two birds. I think the result in the higher score is the placement of the second shot. Ist bird as others..aiming Terrence to front of left structure taking out as much as possible and igniting first tnt. He rolled pretty far and I almost had a one birdie when debris bumped into the cart on the middle right structure but it only wobbled which gave me the idea where to place the second shot.
Second Bird…Send WB in flat arch over to the middle cart and drop egg just before cart which will take out cart and push things right and ignite tnt. The explosion or debris will take out last structure!

I also got it with one birdie but my score was lower as the second bird gets more debris points.

Second bird the same but different first shot:
Terence higher, almost horizontal – one or two ticks above – into the thin stone plate. When hitting the right spot it not only does a lot of destruction but most importantly it removes those nasty antennas and wire things, which almost always remain when using the standard shot directly into the sandblocks. This way I think there is more often a cleared path for the following flat shot of bird #2.

Thank you for that first shot @anton249. I got 93k like that with two birds. I believe I had a score in the low fifties after the first. I got a one-birder too, also 93k.
Then for my 97k score I got everything except the rightmost structure down with the first shot, like this: I guess a lucky one-birder can beat the top score.
