Angry Birds Rio Airfield Chase Walkthrough Level 20 (10-5)

Our strategy for Airfield Chase level 10-5 is to fire the Black bird through the lower chain and into the right structure. Most of the pit should be destroyed, so you should have a lot of points at this point. Fire the White bird a little lower, bombing the cart on the left and ricocheting through the dangling cage. All that remains is a long shot with Big Brother. From that distance, he doesn’t carry a huge punch, but hopefully it’s enough. The score in the video below is 105,590.

115180, same method as above, only take care to free all the birds on the right with the first shot. Aiming the first shot a bit higher and let the black bird explode close to red caged bird did the trick for me.

121180 same appraoch. Lots of points in the stack on the right, can’t find a way to pick them up. Any ideas?

Shoot bomb bird As described above and blow up right at red bird. Use white bird to blow up drums and tensing birds 117,380.

two birds, first bomb bird must get both the luggage in the ditch and all the birds on the stone structure to the right, then second bird must take out the remaining

Same as video with first bird launched a little higher, same as for Basten. Had to use all birds. The last red bird was able to take out most of the far rights side concrete structure at the right end, this gave me almost another 2k.

Bomb the red bird on the right as above trying to take out the bit of grass in the center. Aim the white bird to drop on the bird on the cart and then hit the chain and the blue bird above. Use the big red bird to knock down the stack on the right to get the final bird. Three birds 116,000 points.

One of the hardest level in AB Rio World 10 if you want to achieve a good score here.
1st bird quite low and manual detonation at following red spot: here
2nd bird in front of vehicle and up to flying blue bird (link)
3rd bird is truly the lucky part here as it doesn’t work very often. Try to use this shot. You should hit remaining bottom blue bird and hopefully big red pushes entire right structure to the right. With lucky collateral you can achieve 130k+ here! GL

@swelld nice flinging! I’ve been trying to find the best way to push the right structure down & studying the pics from higgins. I got the far right part of it to fall coming at it from a higher angle, but I’ve also been trying to roll or bounce Terence into it off of the ledge in front, which has moved it but never pushed it all the way over – maybe that’s the completely wrong approach, it’s often impossible anyway because of debris left behind from the 1st shot. Either way it’s a tough one. Congrats on another fine score :)

Thanks @higginsfor posting your detailed strategy. The first two birds were easy to accomplish. The third was the challenge. Big red could hardly break a few stones. Was not able to push the structure to the right but was able to break a few stones and kill all the birds.

After a lot of failure, I finally managed to get 3 stars using a modified version of the video. Shot 1 (black bird) is fired at the structure on the right and blows most of it up and clears all the birds out. The second shot (white bird) is similar to the video where you drop the egg on the suitcase on the cart and the ricochet takes out the hanging bird cages. It’s important that this shot take out the higher (blue) bird cage; the lower (red) bird cage can be cleaned up with the large red bird. Fire the big red bird into the gully with the suitcases and gas tanks and clear out all those items. With that and the unused red bird, you should have more than 104,000.

118 k with one bird. Shot through red cage chain to the spot from higgins picture. Manually detonate. The debris from explosion took out the rest of cages. Maybe with a luckiest shot could make more damage.

I got my highest score like others mention above. I sent first bomb bird through the floating sand and grass holding floating red bird cage and he landed between the right tire in the middle and the wire box just to the right of it on the ledge. The explosion wil take out all the suitcases and stuff in the middle, the red bird cage on chain and some of the right structure. Then I sent WB just above the cart and dropped egg on suitcase which exploded everything and the cart rolls off the hill and breaks, meanwhile her deflated body goes up and take out floating sand and blue bird cage on chain. Then I sent Terrence over to take out the remaining birds on right and try and get as much as debris as possble. You should aim him to go through about where the sand was that was holding up the red bird cage on chain.

This is a consistent 2-Birder.
1) Shoot Black Bird in a medium arc through lower sand block and as it reaches the far right structure, detonate after it knocks out lamp and lands by horizontal wire block, (in order for this to work you must ensure that all birds on right side are released).
2) Shoot White Bird as in video and you have a 2 Bird solution.
Big Brother and little brother are bonus points.
ps. I got this score after only 6 tries.

It’s now 4½ months later and I get the 2-Birder on the first try, but all it gave me was 1100 points more, I certainly hope this gets better as the night progresses or I’m going to wind up caged like those poor defenseless little birdies.

@brave1966, for some reason known only to Rovio, there are a few levels in all of AB that as far as PC players are concerned, will not allow scores to be raised as high as say an iPad, iPod or iPhone, even some Android platforms score better than PC, then again, there are levels that do better on PC than anything else. Go figure. Happy Hunting!

@Werewolf69: I don’t think that’s deliberate; probably a quirk in the Box2D implementation on PC that might not have been accounted for. I have fared fairly well on PC. :)

It works for me with 2B / 120K+ but my actual best is 3B / 121K+. My phone is freezing durong a play of Rio so it’s nightmare to score more.
