Angry Birds Poached Eggs 3 Star Walkthrough Level 2-8

Our strategy for Poached Eggs level 2-8 is to fire the Yellow bird into the horizontal stone block supporting the second boulder. The impact should pop the pig within, cause the boulder to fall to the right, and have the Yellow bird roll backwards onto the large pig. Use the Black bird to clean up any scraps. The score in the video below is 54,810.

My best score has been the result of a one birds method, and a bit of luck. First bird hits block under wood on second tower, closer to the top corner of the block. Wait until the bird is over the first tower, before giving him his power. The pig inside should pop, boulders move forward, and bird falls back, and pops pig. The luck comes into play now, hopefully, the bird also bounces off first tower, causing damage, as he falls.

Thanks sunshine! Got lower than you on this one, the first tower falling holds a lot of points. How did you even know I was going here next? :)

@sunshine Thanks sunshine for the outstanding strategy and description. You added about 4K to the score. WTG!
Took a few tries but used the red eye brow of the yellow bird to line up in the area of the dark green edge behind the sling when aiming.

My strategy is a variation of the video. The yellow bird at a much higher arc, through the wood plank,undercutting the boulder, and hitting the end of the horizontal stone beneath the boulder. The boulder should fall to the left. If it breaks the second wood from the bottom, the first tower will collapse

Strategies for eagle destruction on Chrome:

– This one is tough since there are towers on different, odd levels. One way that I did it was to knock over the top tower like going for 3 stars and lower the structure on the far left with the last 2 birds. Since the bounce is so odd, you can put the can so it hurts all the debris of the left tower, bounces and hits the rest that was knocked over the edge with the yellow bird

Another alternative – just grazing the first boulder, then ricocheting off the second boulder or tower, causing significant destruction to the first tower, while causing havoc to the rock platform on the right side. The problem is getting the second stubborn pig. Some luck required. I am having close calls to top high scores, just a matter of time… Revisiting these old levels as my acumen has increased following countless flings is paying off rather well. Thanks to all who contribute strategies – aside from RPGs, this first franchise of the Angry Birds saga remains my favorite.

Did anyone say that the first tower occasionally collapses at the top giving about 2200 points for no birds thrown? This paves the way for getting about 58k. However grazing method is best way to get near 60K.

The daily challenge. No luck at all with the bounce one bird method. This is an alternative which I think will score well. The first shot is important as you need to score 18k (13k without the pig) or more. I’ve been on course for 61k but the second shot failed!

As per strategy from comex666, skimmed the first boulder and pushed the second tower to the right. Yellow bird felt back and broke one of the wooden pieces of the first tower which collapsed for a bit more points. Here is a picture:

The strategy is straightforward, Chuck in a low arc, accelerating toward the first boulder and ricocheting into the second one. Then, hope for the best.

By the way, I used to have a score of 64510 and it was not even the top score at the time. Somehow it was removed along with the then top score and probably a few others…
It’s still a strange way to get a puppy :-> Whatever…

Just for the record, my score of 61660 was a 2 birder a la @steviep147. My earlier comment about a 1 bird skimmer being better doesn’t seem a done deal, the two approaches seem fairly close.

I’m in shock! Have been trying for the one birder as shown in the video by @comex666 with limited success until now. This time the ricochet onto the middle tower’s boulder caused the whole structure to topple to the right, with one piece falling left into the gap and taking out the biggest pig. Then for no obvious reason the leftmost tower collapsed completely and the points just kept racking up, as all but one of the wooden blocks were destroyed. Same shot countless times, so total fluke.

Nice shooting. Well done on the Puppy. Massive score. Somewhere along the line that was my days flinging 😁 and using just one bird, I had a very similar experience. The left tower collapsed more than usual but sadly one of the 🐷 on the right survived else I may have also got a puppy.
