Updated! Per Rovio, “There’s an updated version [of Angry Birds] coming to the PS Store and a full PS3 version in a few months”!
Wow, fresh on the heels of the Windows and Mac launch comes word that those Angry Birds have landed on the PlayStation Network store as a PSP Minis. That means you can now pop pigs on both a PSP and a PS3.
Per the PlayStation blog post, this release includes “63 levels”. It remains to be seen what, if anything, is different in these levels.
can anyone tell me when angry birds will be coming to the uk ps3 as both me and my hubby have looked through our playstations in the psp bit and have not got it yet?

I just got it. It seems to have strange frame rate issues almost everywhere compared to the iPhone & iPod, which is surprising considering that the PSP is, well the PSP. Hopefully they can update it to smooth the game out.

There’s no touch screen on the PSP. Aiming is done with the Analog nub, and the X button fires. X also does any actions that you would normally tap to do (ex. blowing up Black Bird.) The controls work surprisingly good, although the terribad frame rate destroys and fun you could have had :(

how do i get golden eggs on my psp when i have to tap to get it.
Golden Eggs 6 and 8 (the treasure chest and sun, respectively) are unattainable on PSP. {Rumored solution: For 6, scroll over to Golden Eggs and press X at the same time. For 8, be holding O before the birds make their victory cheer and the level ends.}

Golden Egg 6 – just open the Golden Eggs page
Golden Egg 8 – As my sister said, the level just ended (she wasn’t holding anything) and the Golden Egg showed up.
Any way to get the full screen view on the Playstation? Otherwise, the game is pretty much useless to me – help!

Does anybody have the full list of controls for the PS3? I’m stumbling around trying to get a sense of some of the less obvious ones but not having much luck.
Here are the controls:
START -> Start game (at the opening screen) show level select/reset menu (in a level)
L1 -> Scroll to the left side of the playing field (in a level)
R1 -> Scroll to the right side of the playing field (in a level)
L1+R1 -> Zoom out to see entire level (in a level)
CIRCLE -> Cancel
X -> Choose highlighted menu/level-select/etc
Other buttons may be necessary, but are rarely used (One of the Golden Egg stars requires TRIANGLE and DOWN on the keypad, for instance.)

Please can some one tell me how to get all the golden eggs on ps3?? I don’t have an iphone (cause I hate apple) but I love this game. This forum has been great for the controls. Every thing I look up for the eggs says stuff like “tap the sun”, or “tap the chest” how do I do this for ps3?? Also if you want to play separate games of angry birds (more than one user) you have to change users on the ps3 (eg. Make more than one account). Hope this helps and hope you can help me.
You automatically get the golden egg in the chest i think im 99% sure. So does anyone know how to get the golden egg in the background on the PS3, if so please inform me

I got 14 golden eggs on my PSP, except 11th. I tried to “scroll world 8th screen”, but with no luck. Does anyone have a hint?
Ok, press Right Shift to scroll, now I have 17 golden eggs with 17 gold stars. Is there more secrets in the psp version?
I don’t have the answer, but I was curious if you figured out how to open the treasure chest to unlock Golden Egg #6? A lot of PSP users haven’t been able to figure that out, so my thinking was this GE doesn’t exist on the PSP.
I have 17 golden eggs too on psp without opening the chest. I think it’s impossible on psp.
I think there is no other eggs coz the screen is full of eggs.
Maybe you’re right and this Golden Egg does not exist in PSP version. I don’t really remember how i got that egg, but i suggest you should try to complete the chest level with 3 stars
For the sleeping pig golden egg you need to push and hold right on the d-pad and square
For the beak egg star you need to hold down on the d-pad and triangle

I believe it’s available as a Playstation Mini, though I don’t have a PS3 though, so I can’t confirm. There is no native PS3 version yet.
ya i know i saw it on the playstation3 store AFTER THE CRASH but the store wasnt working yet. and now that its finally working again i try looking for it and i cant find it :( it sucks. i try searching for ANGRY and it doesnt pop up anywhere. only thing i can think is maybe the store is still not fully fixed.

Well, Rovio tweeted about this very issue earlier today, so I’ve updated this page. From what I can tell this confirms that AB is indeed gone from the PS Store, but a new version should be coming soon.

Angry Birds has been removed from the Playstation network, so if you don’t already have it I don’t believe it’s possible to obtain right now. Rovio said awhile back that it will likely be added back, but I don’t know when.

I love Angry Birds, I hope they update Angry Birds for the PS3 so we get Ham em High, Seasons and Rio. If they update in the next few months, that will seem like forever for some of us.

I got the golden eggs for the treasure chest and the credits, but it won’t let me play my golden eggs games on my ps3. when I click on them a big pig snorts at me, and on the other an eagle screeches. How can I play them and get them to count on my egg count.
Unfortunately, after the v1.5 update, these levels were replaced. However, there is still a small description of how to unlock those stars.

There is absolutely no way to get the treasure for angry birds on ps3. Therefore, all you need to do is complete the level and it opens the chest and gives you the contents. Thank you
