Angry Birds Golden Egg #23 Walkthrough

Golden Egg #23 can be found in Mine And Dine level 15-12. Aim a yellow bird at a high trajectory and time the speed burst to get the Golden Egg. You can also get it with a white bird, though it might be a little trickier.

* Two part video: Part 1 shows you the location of the Golden Egg & part 2 contains the walkthrough on how to unlock the star.

Has anyone noticed there is an invisible force field on the clock at about the 10/11 o’clock position? Make a hole in the clock between the 9 and 12 o’clock position, and then try shooting a bird through the hole so it goes inside the clock. You should find the bird hits a force field and won’t go through the hole.

You can make it into the interior of the clock. If you look at my screenshot, you can see small indestructable blocks at the “west” and “northwest” positions. They are rather faint, but having an iPad helps show those little details. A clever shot — as shown — can still make it into the interior.

By Ian

I think you misunderstood my comment. I was not saying there is no way to get inside the clock, I was saying there is an invisible force field that stops birds in mid-flight.

I did not see those faint blocks on my iPhone, but perhaps I will take another look with a magnifying glass. The pixels on the retina display are too small to see with the naked eye.

I have not discovered “invisible” obstacles on any other level anywhere. Have you? It seems like a unique feature to me.

After reading @AMSlim’s comment, I too noticed one as well. However it is “under” (for lack of a better word) the tiny wooden blocks inside the clock. Or at least the one i saw was. Basically, I destroyed a few of those tiny wooden blocks with a prior bird… Then my second bird was blocked so I zoomed in and sure enough there was an indestructible transparent block in the same spot that the wood block use to be.

I also have an iPad so don’t know if you can see it on non-HD versions of the game.

The real question for me is… Is there any point benefit to causing destruction inside the clock? So far it seems like a waste of bombs for me.

By --Pete

I call them ‘sky-hooks’, as they are used to suspend things in the ‘sky’ in many levels. I’ve had a lot of birds get hung up on them. On a Mac, they look like almost transparent squares, about the size of the numerals and hands of the clock in this level. It’s like running into a big wad of chewing gum when you hit them.

I hit the clock at about 10 o’clock, score was 5100. The bottom of the clock starts to vibrate and the clock hands whirl around and cause a little tiny bit of damage each time they touch the edges- the horizontal stone pieces vibrate and eventually the 3 wooden blocks disintegrate. The bottom of the clock will fall and cause a lot of damage. I didn’t get as much as angrygreg, yet, so I am going to keep trying.

I feel silly asking this question…hope it’s not obvious. Does the vibration and explosion happen each time (providing you wait long enough)? If not, how do you know when to give up and start over? It is easier to use the white bird and shoot is pretty much straight and then pop him up quick. That way you don’t need to mess around with all the birds to get to the yellow one.

I got the clock to explode, but I didn’t hit near the 10. Once was on right side and left nicked the right and then when I sent my last to blow up train the clock blew up. Highest I got was 84870, but I used all 4 bombs so it could b higher. I gotta keep trying :)

By Harshul

Has anyone noticed this level is a reference to Back to the Future?
The clock tower which gets struck by lightning is in the centre and if u hit the outside of the tower with the bird the tower begins to spin and go crazy like its hit by lightning. The DeLorean is in the right (but it looks like the train from the 3rd movie). The tree that falls in which the wire gets caught in the left. I think the the flag on top is also the flag in which Marty when passed is sent back to the future. Dr. Brown possibly is the pig with the moustache on the tower. And Marty is possibly the small pig in the “DeLorean”.

The stone blocks on the bottom begin to vibrate and the parts start to crumble and then the clock exploded. The 106k explosion started within 5 seconds. The pig on the far right remained for the second bird. I tried to look for a pattern in all the explosions that produced various amounts of damage but could not find anything but the vibrating stone blocks on the ground. Gained 18k in points.

I did it again, but it took me all 4 birds to do it this time, and only due to my impatience, I wasted the first bird on the train, then the mustachioed pig by the clock which in turn took the two lower pigs as well, then I shot the clock at exactly 10 o’clock and within about 3 to 5 minutes the clock, pedestal and columns blew themselves apart, which left me the pig under the tree for the last bird. At least I went from 88k to 100k. I’ll keep trying for that elusive top score.

Using v5.0.0, I think this may be one of the levels that Rovio tinkered with as I haven’t been able to get the exploding clock despite hours of waiting.

However, something related happens if the clock is hit and goes into high speed. The three wooden blocks slowly migrate to the left and the last five stone blocks slowly migrate to the right. After two or three hours, the wooden blocks will push the stone box completely off the pillar. eventually causing the far left column to topple onto the wooden tree.

Kind of cool, but hardly worth the wait and certainly not a high score generator.

Anyone else seeing this?
