They’re back! This is our walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Friends on Facebook Tournament Level #4 Week 9 (this tournament began the week of July 16th, 2012). Our strategy for this level is fling the bomb bird low into the first structure, trying to pop the pig and do as much damage as possible. Now fire the bomb bird into the wood beam attached to the robots left hand leg. With a bit of luck you’ll topple the robot, pop the pig, and elevate your score. The score in the video is 70,050.
This is a repeat of level 1 from week 1, so feel free to check that post for additional walkthroughs strategies. You’re also welcome to post new ones here.
Our Angry Birds Friends Tournament walkthroughs show you how to obtain 3 stars and highscores with and without Power Ups. If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments. Tournament walkthroughs are added weekly as new levels come out, so be sure to check the walkthrough page.

I have done : 80.180
:D
by using only the first blak bird ;)
Would you mind sharing more details about this first shot? As, where did you aim and how did everything collapse with just one bird.
Otherwise please don’t select the alternative strategy box.
This is my screnshot :

For the strategy :
I just shoot the first bird like this video (to the first robot), but to that many wheels, then one of the stone lukly have jumped to the other robot. And then all hase done :D
sorry for my english :p
Thanks for sharing ;)
I see that the video for this level is different from the first time. Do they change the video every time a level repeats?
I managed to improve my score by 2000 from the first week, except I use all three birds. The moving wheels on the second robot’s arms are designed to spread all of the debris out when it falls, making it impossible to destroy everything, but this level is full of potential with all of the concrete around. I’m expecting to see someone with a 110K+ score by the end of the week. With all of the good players here, hopefully I can at least stay in the top 10 for this one.

It is possible to destroy all the wheels in the left robot by aiming directly to the triangle that sits below the left pig. If you are lucky, you may also destroy some of the window and push it to the left so it gets hit when the other robot falls. To do this, zoom out and put the cursor slightly above the left bottom part of the left triangle in the tower (I hope that makes sense). Is there any other way of taking the right hand robot (i.e. other than shooting on its knee)? I remain veeery far from 100k scores, but for the moment I am experimenting on my own.
@congo I can get you a little closer. Aim first bird directly at the left large stone ball of the first machine. Allow the bird to strike the ball, before you detonate the bird. The machine should fall to the right. While its triangle, and underside is exposed, throw the next bomb bird at the other large stone ball.
If you are lucky, you may have driven something into the knee joint of the second structure, to have it collapse. With third bird, kill last pig. If you are REALLY lucky, all pigs will be dead already, in which case you can concentrate your shot on whatever the weakest area is. Always aim for partially destroyed (cracked) debris, because your bird will go right through it, like hot butter.
You will never get anywhere near total destruction on this level. The stone balls with the square knots on them are worth about 15k a piece, so it’s very important that you destroy those. I think there’s more points available in the small robot than in the big one.
I used to do that with my 1st shot, Bill, but I was shocked to see that the new video’s 1st shot mirrors the 1st shot that I’ve been using to a T. I wouldn’t change that 1st shot from the video even a little, personally. Hopefully the robot will fall a little to the right like Bill said. The second shot should destroy some more debris from the 1st robot and nestle up to the left side of the spiked ball on the right. The explosion should hopefully send some debris of the ball flying into the second robot’s knee causing it to topple. If the second robot begins falling, I gear up with a Super Seed & Sling Scope and aim at the biggest pile, which is generally on the right from the second robot. I like the sling scope in this case, because a long lob with a black bird can easily be wasted, and it takes awhile to get that setup again, so I don’t like to take chances with that third shot.
The 1st robot is worth about 80K, so you’ll be lucky to get between 60 & 70K from that robot after your first two shots. When the second robot falls, you might get up into the 90K range, which is when you can go after that 100K+ score with your third shot.
Easliy one of my least favorite tournament boards. It has taken way to much effort to cross 80K.
I just failed the level with over 89000 and 1 pig not killed! I hate this level.
same here, I could get around 90k but 1 pig was not killed!
At least you managed above 80k. I am still stuck well below that :(
I used a different order than the one described by @mobus1603 above, but I think mine is quite easy to repeat. First shot as video above (i.e. destroy the first spike ball and first robot to fall to the right). Second shot to the knee of the second robot hoping that the pig will die. Before shooting the third bird, which may require that you run before the last pig dies, super seed plus king sling aiming for the spike ball that is left in the middle of the debris (don’t trigger it before time!). You should easily go above 85K this way. Now, getting above 100K is something I cannot help you with… good luck!
@celsojp, nice slinging. Care to share any tips? We have been looking for a solid strategy, and we’d love to hear from you.
Hi, @Bill. The first shot go to the knee of the second robot hoping the pig die. After numerous attempts just went ahead with a score of 45k. The second shot is the first robot at the beginning of the chain, causing it to disassemble and explosion is more effective when it reaches the ground (I used the super seed this one). Despite all the pigs were killed, I did the third release on the spot where he had more debris. I’m trying to install a program that records video, so I can try to reproduce what I did and put it on youtube and link here, although I feel that I had incredible luck to get this score. I think repeating this strategy can be anywhere from 105k or more than that. I think the secret is to just go ahead with the first shot over 45k and always make the third shot where you have more debris.
Thanks @celsojp !
I think I got this. Thanks for the strategy. I’m about to try something insane. hopefully you will be seeing another video soon.
Got it! Here you go. 103k. Feel free to read my owner’s remarks on youtube, but I really think a lot of this is based on luck. I still don’t feel really solid about this strategy. I think that’s the name of the game for this level.

Hey Bill you have some awesome opponents if 103560 only got you 10th! WOW!
@ncpacker yeah, i’m not sure they are all legit scores on there, but i’m guessing not… Are you in north carolina? Which part?
Yes sir! I’m in Winston-Salem. I was watching your you tube strategy and maybe I read it wrong as your ranking score.
This is my first video, and it sucks, but I’ll keep getting better.
My 3rd shot went a little long, but my first two shots are perfect.

Good job @mobus1603 ! And extra points for the added music!
@mobus1603 nice music! Sandstorm, by Darude.
@congo & @dollarbill2208:
Thanks guys. Just having fun and keeping things interesting. I’ll keep the videos coming for the levels where I think that I have something to share.
As soon as my electricity comes back, i will upload my vid for 112k. I told you guys i was working on something big! ;)
Here is my 110K+ strategy – http://i.minus.com/ii5PkXKLOfsaR.jpg
Here it is guys. Good luck. I had 113k going with this strategy, and 112k with the video, but failed last shot. Oh well. Still the high score. Give it a minute, it might still be processing on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKLU3pFrwew&feature=youtu.be
VERY NICE @dollarbill2208!!! Very nice indeed. I especially liked the 2k addt’l points from the robot saw into the rock!(note to self..acquire more patience and wait) Of course, I went right away to start this strategy. Haven’t gotten a great result as yet, but I have a hopeless addictive personnality. (NOTE: I am getting first bird knock downs of BOTH robots when I miss high at first. Did you get those as well?)I can’t help but think that I may be onto something with that. We shall see. Okay…well, off to use more KS’s and SS’s. ;-)
@plydon that’s the idea. The more you can do with first bird, the better. I’ve had 84k after first bird, but i botched the next shot. That’s why i think it is good to go ahead and max out the power ups with first bird. Second bird- go after remaining spiked ball. Third bird- use… Or not, as necessary. Even with this single strategy, i think there are many ways to arrive at 110k+.
I know Bill. There’s nothing more frustrating than seeing a high score posibility, then missing OR not noticing that that freakin’ pig on the right is still ALIVE! HAHAHA…(That a psychotic nervous laugh BTW)
Okay…after many attempts resulting in colossal fails..I am formulating a thought that @dollarbill2208 either works for Rovio, or is in KAHOOTS with them for free power-ups. (Of course I am just joshin.) Okay…off to go take my piggy bank (pun intended) AND aluminum cans to the bank for more power-ups! ;-)
Got my 105k from the one bird-two robot strategy that I stumbled onto. (I tried to capture video, but it was slowing my pc to the point of incredible frustration. I will keep trying) I aim first bird just a bit higher than Bill’s vid. When it breaks through, I detonate when the glass comes free and to the right side. It SHOOTS over and knocks down second robot. Nothing but clean up with remaining 2 birds. I know that this isn’t a high score strategy, but I just like sharing MY own come-up-ins.

100k, first bird in to the left joint holding the big stone, second one to the triangle, which is already down, the destruction of the bomb helped to get the right robot fall, used king sling to finish the last pig.
Alright guys, 113k, yet a new strategy that did not take me that long to perfect. Stay tuned for video, it’s processing right now. I guarantee it will revolutionize the way you play this level. Let’s have @sal9 and @amslimfordy to watch too! lol. This is going to take about 40 minutes to upload because my connection is so slow, I apologize.

I remember when we first got this level shooting at those numbers. Nice to see you can actually get something out it. Bill, my question for you is…what is your success rate at repeating? I am REALLY curious if I can get a great score like that, BUT….and that’s a BIG BUT…I am going through power ups like crazy! I would like to improve my level 1 scores, and that level is also frustraqting. I’m kinda feeling okay with my 105k, but the devil-dude on my right shoulder keeps telling me to GO FOR IT!!! LOL
@plydon about once in 100 plays. It’s a pain in the… yyeah.
Bill, Im not sure about this 2098. I made 115.500 points in my way (I posted a SShot above). After two birds I had 102K+ but I wasnt lucky enough with my last shot – I missed 120K+ :-(

@plydon, the previous weeks I would completely obsess with improving the score in a certain level, which often led to using lots of power-ups used and frustration. This week I have been far too busy at work, so I only play 5 minutes here and there (plus the occasional post in the nest). This means that every time I play a level it feels fresh. Funny enough, the times I have managed a breakthrough and improved the score has been after only a few tries. In fact, this is the best week I have had thus far in the tournament! I think there is a quote by Einstein who said something like “the definition of crazy is doing the same and expecting a different result”. The practical application to AB may be that it’s probably better to switch to a different level if the results are not coming your way. Just saying…
@congo…I’m not 100% sure, but you may have just given me a little insight to a nickname for you. Hahaha. Congo, you are my guiding oracle, leading me back to the light. (Just now..I take a position on the floor…legs crossed..thumbs to middle fingers.) Now I know I must incorporate meditation in between logins to FB. OKAY…on the serious..I totally hear you. Sometimes I obsess with getting that ever elusive perfect shot. Which strategy is best??? Power-ups vs. NO power-ups?? Is my computer conspiring against me?????? all questions that have NO answers.
@plydon Paul, if you don’t believe me, these are two distilled wisdom quotes for you:
1. “Obsession is the path to the dark side. Obsession leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.”
2. “If no mistake have you made, yet losing you are … a different game you should play.”
Yoda…
(Disclaimer: I may have modified the first one… he, he, he)
@pocko, why haven’t you posted that score yet? You really did it, and without cheats, didn’t you?
@congo fear man, fear. Nice quote though. I like it a lot. Sounds like a movie I’ve seen before, a long time ago. ;)
No cheat guys. I use another trick. I have 2 separate accounts where I gather dayly power-ups which I use for practice.
As for leaderboards, I dont care much about it.
@pocko, I’m poor, so I do that, too ;-)
When somebody sent me a gift today it said that a pig ate my gift! What’s up with that?! Is this new?? Grrr
Maybe it is a new trick which Rovio plays to make AB Friends players buy more power-ups; however, I have never experienced such a problem as you had, or gotten a feedback from my friends concerning this issue.
OMG @congo…I fear I may lose bladder function right here!! I love it!! Dude….I wanna party with you!!
Hopefully, and I know that this strays somewhat from the leaderboard mentality, this video doesn’t offend the SERIOUS of players. I just felt that such an all time great quote needs to be shown to back up what my man Congo was trying to say. Enjoy~
(BTW) With all the scandal that has rocked this site as of late, a little levity is AWESOME!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFnFr-DOPf8
brilliant thinking @dollarbill2208! But to be honest the way you got 13k out of those numbers 2098 using the 1st bird, its really hard to get such!
Here’s the reason why I believe that by hitting the numbers, you can get the best score. In my past videos, I had a score of 103k going before I even flung the third bird, but then I botched the last shot, and didn’t get 10k+ out of it. So, if you hit the numbers, that’s guaranteed at LEAST 10k. But, if you get REALLY lucky, you can get the numbers, and then have a really good next couple of shots like I did in previous video, and for a bonus, the stones will continue to smash all that wood from the numbers, giving you an additional 10k. I really think you can get 125 or 130k out of this, all being you get really lucky, but it’s doable.
Oh well, I think it will have to wait until the next time this level comes around. I can’t wait. That will be the ultimate strategy.
99.140
Different strategy, less luck needed.
Shoot the first bird exaxtly as in the video above. Notice that you must let the bird land on the ground before explosion so that you gather many points by almost destroying the ball. Second bird on the remainings of the robot, close to the other ball. You should have around 60000 from these. EVEN if no pieces destroy the second robot, no worries, maybe better. Third bird again on the second “hand ball” of the already destroyed robot. Then you will definitely have pieces on the second robot and it collapses. ALWAYS aim to the balls. You get 500 for each spike and 10000 when destroying it.
Easy way to manage at least 90000 points.
Have in mind that you need to aim for the hand balls of the first robot. Dont aim for the second robot.
ooooooooooohhh crazy!!!! +100K without power-ups, I’m mad for this score <3
My strategy is very common, 1st shot on the right arm of the little robot, after that I can score about 30K. Then, 2nd shot to destroy the remaining pieces of the 1st robot, most of all the stone with a lot of poins inside :P
If I'm lucky, one piece goes to the knee of the high robot and I can finisch the level in 2 shots, but in my 100K I had to shot also the 3rd bomb, and I do it with a long lob, directly in the head of the highest robot… Awesome, in the past I hated this level, now I'm starting to love it :)
