Angry Birds Friends Tournament Level 4 – Week 23 – October 22nd

Walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Friends on Facebook Tournament Level #4 Week 23 (this tournament began the week of October 22nd, 2012). Our strategy for this level is to fling the white bird straight, dropping the egg bomb beneath the left tower so the white bird ricochets back up into the mustache pig and penetrates the wood. This should cause the middle portion of the level to collapse down. If there is ample debris on the bottom you might use the yellow bird to rack up some points as I did. Finish things off with the white bird into the left tower and the yellow bird into the far right tower. The score in the video is 101,190.

This is a repeat of level 1 from week 14, so feel free to check that post for additional walkthroughs strategies. You’re also welcome to post new ones here.

Our Angry Birds Friends Tournament walkthroughs show you how to obtain 3 stars and highscores with and without Power Ups. If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments. Tournament walkthroughs are added weekly as new levels come out, so be sure to check the walkthrough page.

Same as last time: SS whitebird aiming to the bottom tower (as high as possible to pass without hitting the base) drop egg in a way that destroys tower below and ricochet destroys pig in the middle. Then BQ so that the towers fall to the LEFT and destroy the pig below, but it is a hit and miss. It only works about 20-25% of the time. If you do the BQ quickly, white bird will still be there and may fall back to the left giving you some extrapoints. Depending on the amoung of wood in the bottom left, it may be worth to throw the yellow bird to get some extra points (but most likely not worth it).

119,970. Used a white bird as described then a BQ. Loads got destroyed by 1st bird apart from the 2 towers and the bird sitting in the middle.

Sorry for the double post, no super seed used. Just aimed for going under the rock as close as possible

BQ is not helping that much like last time! :/

Yes! BQ is a serious pain! It is working properly (i.e. towers falling to the RIGHT, which suits better Bill’s strategy of last time) barely in 20% of the cases! @mobus1603, you were right. There is a sweetspot for the second shots where SS yellow bird goes all accross the bottom part destroynig everything. 121.880 like this. Proof: http://angrybir.de/Vz0zRU But I would say you pretty much maxed it out.

Towers falling to the right works about 40% of the time for me, which is probably how I got my score. BQ levels are such a pain…

I was going for a one-birder with Birdquake, but that first little bugger pig was left, so I used one of the last Super Seeds that I won today on Old Yeller and cleared all of the wood on the ground. I still feel that this level has the potential to go over 125K, but it would take a one-birder and luck with that Quake.

After 1000 tries with SS first and BQ (so that everything falls to the left) with scores around 115K, something strange happened. The WB after dropping egg and killing the 2 central pigs, half-broke the wooden block right of the central (non-moustache) pig. Then the BQ rolled it over and a big amount of debris rolled over to the left and fell creating mass destruction. I assume I won’t be able to repeat this ever again!

Yes. A score like that can only be achieved with the one bird strategy and massive luck. I find the two bird one (non pu whitebird, BQ, then SS yellow bird) easier to repeat, but it’s true that it has its limitations.

Here is the video for 121k (Power-ups) 104k (No Power-ups) and I also show how the one birder works, though I didn’t manage to get as lucky as @donkey73 with that.

Tried different strategies, but @sheikhoo‘s has worked the best for me, because it’s easier to repeat. Got 123k after a few tries :)

Is it true there is a hidden level in the tournament? A level 0?

Yes, it is true, though the level appears to rotate on a cycle (it’s not fixed) and it does not affect your total displayed score.

How do you get to it?

Fail Level 4. When the “Failed” screen appears, you should still have the “>>” button to advance to the next level.
