Walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Friends on Facebook Tournament Level 3 Week 60 which began the week of July 8th, 2013. Our non power-up strategy for this level is to fire Yellow into the wooden “shorts”. Chuck should slice through, and land on the tnt. Use Boomerang to clear any remaining pig. The score in the video below is 81,150.

One bird no pu. Same as the video. Straight through the shorts and into the tower. Something strange happened for me and the watermelon “body” started spinning out of control and wiped out a bunch of the watermelons and other debris. 97k.
Same strat…. to me it seems that hitting the left ‘hand’ first increases the change of spinning. 95k score so far…..
Thanks for this tip rlggwzlm. My 98k came after watermelon torso fell on Wood and sending tnt towards torso, finally giving me a big bounce :)
I used two birds. YB thru the chair first. try to wipe it out completely. BB thru left ‘knee’ of melonmonster. he will fall and lurch toward the sling. then the fun random stuff starts LOl. once he hits the little stairs, he may just stop there…or…he may start twitching. once he twitches, he may lift up into the air and start spinning. I got lucky. the spinning released his red ‘heart’ which kicked back and wiped out the right-hand pigs, platform, and tnt. (90630)

You probably triggered the red bouncy ball in the chest of watermelon man.
I should add that on the iPad the red bouncy ball is a beach ball.
Nice observation @momfreedom Thankfully, the bouncy red ball is of no consequence on this level.
@sal9 – No consequence? I got 99,110 with no PU’s because the ball got trapped between the torso of Watermelon Man and the boards on the right. It went nuts and just started tearing everything apart.
SS/KS Wingman, and aimed for shorts. Send watermelon man into wood tower, blowing TNT and setting the remnants into a twirling spin, until red ball released

My device is android.
It is not the small red bouncing ball such as the video.
It is a beach ball of the small destructive power.
Why such difference?

I’ve wondered the same thing. Usually, I get a higher score with my iPhone than my laptop. The beach ball is pretty useless.
There is now a score of 120k plus!! Not too sure how it was obtained. I believe top score in this level would be about 117k!!
@terribletom 120k may be possible, but unlikely. The field would have to be empty and devoid of most everything. I got 117k with only about nine watermelons left and two small pieces of wooden debris. Here’s how I did it…
On an iPad mini, shoot a loaded WM into the chair and table on the lower left. WM will blast through watermelon man’s feet, then proceed to wooden structure and TNT on the far right. Watermelon man then “slid” and toppled to the right while releasing the beach ball. The ball got trapped under watermelon man’s armpit and bounced around taking out his shorts and most of his watermelon body before coming to a stop. This bouncing around took almost a whole hour! In the meantime, I cocked and held the boomerang bird in place before the pigs popped. All pigs popped within the first couple of minutes. By cocking and holding the boom-bird in place, it allowed the bouncing ball to continue destroying stuff without the level timing out. As I mentioned, this took almost an hour! My left thumb is still very sore from holding the boom-bird in place! When the ball stopped bouncing and came to a halt, I carefully put the boom-bird back on the sling shot without releasing. Then, while still holding the boom-bird in place with my thumb, I hit the home button, which threw me out of the app. I reopened the app and hit the resume button. Lo and behold, the boom-bird was sitting there perched on the sling shot while the score tallied up to 117k. Woo-hoo!
I usually play on an iPad mini. I tried this level on my Facebook/MacBook Pro. It might as well have been a different level altogether. The beach ball (on mobile) is a smaller, solid colored ball on Facebook, and it behaves quite differently, much more “lively” and “bouncy,” like a superball. Also, the watermelon man (on Facebook) seemed to jump and fly around all over the screen. On mobile, the watermelon man does not jump at all but slides randomly to the left or right. When he slides and falls to the right and entraps the beach ball, that is when you have the best chance at scores in excess of 110k. There seems to be no way to control which direction he may slide, which eats up a lot of power ups!
Weird, crazy, unpredictable level. Very random relying on a lot of luck. Not easily repeated.

@dseuvert, agreed!! 120k is not possible!! A very frustrating level!! I heard of the differences in the ball, between the platforms.
Not too sure why, Rovio had told me all platforms were functioning, identically??????
All those little pieces of glass on the table amount to quite a few points!! Nice going on the 117k. I could not come close to my score from last Monday!!
