Impossible to download the new tournament. Does anyone is having any issue with the Rovio server?
Yes has been hit or miss.
@lvmh & Deb, I’ve been having similar problems, too. It happened while I was playing Angry Birds Fight!, so I can get a good Top 2000 leaderboard position for the latest Monster Pig Event, the Frankenstein Pig Raid.
But, somehow, while I was playing, the Game stalled on me. I tried re-opening the app, but no such luck. The app won’t play.
The thing is, it’s just with Fight!, other apps like Transformers, Epic, and other apps hat usually use a Internet Connecton (even when they can be played offline, like with Transformers), have similar problems.
I even tried opening websites on the computer like the Rovio Support website, the general Rovio website, & the Angry Birds Website. And still, they won’t open.
It’s as if Rovio is having problems with their services today. Not just in the apps, but also in… anything Rovio-Related. Maybe Rovio’s services are experiencing technical difficulties, so hopefully they’ll be fixed soon.
That’s what I thought also, when I tried the rovio website which couldn’t open either, @furyslinger200. Extremely frustrating!

Everyone! Things with the Angry Birds Apps & Rovio Webisites sould be working fine now! :)
Also, I learned from Rovio’s Facebook page that the cause of all this is part of an ongoing DDoS attack (or Distributed Denial of Service for short). I noticed an article on something similar to that on msn.com.
I’m glad things are going smoothly, but I also hope that whoever’s responsible for this pays for the crime. Criminals I despise. But out of all criminal types… Terrorists… LOATHE ENTIRELY!!!! >:(

Nice score, @terribletom ! Ever been on a cruise? Once out of port and in international waters where gambling is legal, the slot machines are rigged :) They pay out big bucks in the first day or two. After that, niente.
Maybe it’s just me but I find Rovio and ABF “rigged,” too. Ever noticed that you can score really well in the first wee hours of a new tournament, only to spend thousands of power ups to beat your own previous scores set just hours before? Humm… Capitalism at its best, I suppose :)

@dseufert I agree!! Some instances, I have gotten a decent/good score, never to achieve again!! This was a good score, only lasted a short time, as @nitro beat it by a couple of k!!!

LOL .. MOST of the time I see your score just a few K ahead of mine and other times I can just creep past by a few K.
I think the issue of ABF plays better at some times than others maybe has to do with server load.
I know there’s strats that no matter what I do I can’t make it happen, but if I try again later *POOF* it happens so easily, I can do it many times over.
Late afternoon / evening I find the worst time here.
Either mornings or very late at night are better.
On Pc, level 1, bird quake and everything on wheels started rolling taking everything down below, fully loaded wingman straight on and second bird to explode on top. 2 bird left. The luck with bird quake happened only once today, tried a dozen times over and no more luck….

It looks like level 4 scores here isn’t allowing anything over 400k :(
Mine was 407, 436, but it won’t accept that :(
And with 2 hours to go, the high total score belongs to Boba Fett.. 2,094,451
And I always forget to ask.. what happened to Sal? I used to message him when a score needed adjustment here… who took over for him, and how to I get a message to him?
@nitro Sal is no longer helping us manage ABNest – he’s doing his own stuff now. As for the max score, I’ve raised the threshold above 400K. It’s better you use the @admins mention next time you want us to adjust score thresholds.

I’ve been around here for years and I still feel lost here… never know what to post where.
Things like obvious cheaters scores, Sal had me just send him a Facebook message because that’s what he asked me to do…
While we’re here, a few weeks back there was someone that had put in some scores in the quadrillions. They were removed, but on the total score board, his total is still there.
