accelerate straight through top of cake, through to tnt. if it hits the tnt directly, that’s ok for scores as above (say up to 105k). if it goes above the tnt, that’s even better: the tnt may be activated late by the tower collapsing to the left and this may yield, i think didn’t get it yet, scores close to 90k (may be even more frustrating though than waiting for good fallout upon a direct hit to the tnt).

Thank you mockingbird, used your strat. Kept getting one pig left, either one of the pigs in the above boxes or that middle pig (second from left), or TNT didn’t go off. Always had at least one lousy pig left.
I had 81k that was in the top 50, good enough, about to move on and give up for higher score.
I decided just one more fling and I nailed it! Got 84620.. In 4th place for now.
It took a lot of flinging. Just keep at it, it can happen eventually.

Grrrrr, this is so frustrating. Been fling, fling and flinging. No alternative shot to video that I can find and no decent score either.

I don’t know if this will help anyone else but I found aiming at the pig’s left eye gave me a good target and enabled me to break through to the TNT more often than just generally flinging at the piece of wood beside him. You still need to accelerate ASAP to get the force needed but I finally beat the average this way with a score of 80,450.

When I say the pig’s left eye I mean when looking at him, the eye on the right which is the one closest to the wood/TNT. As Slim says in the explanation above the video, it is a rather small window and for me, that left eye is the window.

That’s one dumb level for sure…

I am wondering about the top scores here.

96k and 93k, that’s just plainly impossible apart from a full self destruction that is not going to happen.

@amslimfordy, does some changes have been made to this level so that these scores were possible once?

hmm… @asher, @amslimfordy it was a while since I played this level. I entered the scores a while after playing.
It wasn’t top score, so I didn’t check any further. Else I would have seen that between 3 and 4 are over 7k.
I guess, the only explaination for such scores are power ups. Super Seed or such.
I’ll remove my score.

had the cart rolled down (it didn’t), it would have given a 85k+ 1-birder,
but from the action and picture i didn’t think 90k+ was possible.
(don’t think so still, but haven’t played the level again since, too boring).

the top scorer for this level holds another top score
(on 11) that seems implausibly high to me (but one never knows…).

For my experience 59k before rolling would have guaranteed of 87k.

As for the level 11 highscore, it is so high above the second one that it can not be legit.

@asher, @amslimfordy, perhaps @hayesmccarty who has the current top score of 96k would be so kind as to provide the strategy used and a screenshot of the score for the Nest to see. New to the next, joined a little over 2 months ago, might not understand the Nest courtesy for posting a very high score on a level.

I’m just now finishing Cake 4 and seeing that high of a score on this level is a bit frustrating. Even if you wiped the level with YB, it would not yield 96k with counting the two other birds at 10k each…I’ve done it over and over and scores way over 90k don’t seem possible without using one of the PUs – which could be using the newer addition to the Powerups – the Shockwave Black Bird. We already know there has been some confusion with that new PU as it is located out of the PU selection.

Just my thoughts.

@gypsybird: unfortunately it seems that a lot of high scorers did not seem necessary to at least post a comment…
Some don’t even answer to questions about their scores.

That can be quite frustrating sometimes.

Maybe top scores should be validated pending a comment?

I agree @asher. Unfortunately, we can only ask top scorers to share strategy and hope they are courteous enough to do that. The only time providing strategy and screenshot is required is for top scores posted for a daily challenge and that is only if the person wants to receive an Underdog badge for their score.

There is no need to download anything @jcb1525 , although keeping your computer up to date will help.

I think this level got harder with v5.x. In the video above, the ice plank with three tiny wood blocks slides to the left allowing pink hat pig to roll left and pop. That almost never happens any more making a one-bird really difficult with the low arc shot. To compensate, I tried a much higher arc, accelerating to bring Clyde in at a steeper angle. The goal is to break the left vertical wood plank supporting the igloo without setting off the TNT. This allows the whole structure to lean left before the TNT goes off (if it does at all!) throwing enough debris to the left to get the left two pigs.

@grrtammy good gouge on the high arc. Coming back thru with new device i want to at least 3-star everything again and this one was really ticking me off, the blasted block would not shift. High arc, adjust the aimpoint, about two minutes and I 3-starred with TWO birds but am glad to be out.

I have attached a screenshot of this level. I have no idea how I achieved this score. I was not aware I had any high scores currently. When I upload scores the only thing I check is to make sure the chapter total score on my phone matches the database total score on angry birds nest.

I’m going to post this strat here even though I haven’t been successful with it yet, because I know it’s there and it’s just a matter of time and repetition before somebody pulls it off.

This is a “submarine” strat in that it takes the low route. Aim for the piggie with the horizontally striped party hat. You want to accelerate Chuck just after the launch and hit that pig near the base of the party hat. I may just being seeing things, but it seems that both of those hats act to accelerate Chuck.

If you hit it correctly, Chuck will go through the cake TNT and all the wood all the way to the box TNT, setting it off. I have managed to do this a grand total of four times. What didn’t happen was that none of the debris made it over to the left piggie on the cart, so that remained in place. If that piggie was taken out, I would have had a score in the upper 80Ks.

I’m not giving up on this yet, but I have spent way too much time on this level, and I was too late to the party to take advantage of the apparently easier level this once was. I post this here in hopes that somebody can pull this off.

Intriguing idea, @jrsquonk! Can you tell me a little more about where you hit?

I just tried it, and got the bird to accelerate enough to get the pig in the blue polka dot hat, but not enough to go through the board to the TNT.

Will keep at it!

@sluggo1969 I hit right near the base of the striped party hat. I used the background for aiming. I adjusted such that one pixel of the background (on my old tablet, probably more than one pixel for most of you)showed through between the bands of the sling. This would put the bird in about the 8:30 position. Accelerating immediately will often get you to the last wooden post, but not through it. I had a bit more success by aiming slightly higher and accelerating very soon, but not immediately, after launch. Hope this helps!

Finally got 3 stars using the video method. I struggled to get any debris to go left far enough to make the wagon/car move, but it finally went!
