Our strategy for Big Setup level 11-6 is to loft the Boomerang bird over the main structure, spinning it back into the stone block on the far side. Use both Big Brothers to blast through the hollow stone squares in the bottom-left corner, inevitably blasting the structure to pieces. The score in the video below is 104,710.
Version 2022:
Used two birds. The second bird hit a sweet spot on the right corner of the hnorizontal wood plank and the top of the hollow block. Went right through to the bottom pig to obtained the present score. Gained 7k+ in score.
Used three birds and scored 109k.
Heehe once again I got a ove avg using @wrw01s famous sweet spot!! It’s a wonderful thing to watch everything crash and piggies pop!! Thanks @wrw01 add another to the tab!! ;)
@kimmiecv Hey kimmiecv just line them up and they will go down smooth and cold…glad to see you beat my score, that means much to me because the advice is repeatable and works for someone else. Also provides hope that my eye hand coordination has to improve.
2 birds as well. Did the same as the video for the 1st bird, then threw Terrence and he hit just the right spot on that horizontal wood plank and caused an unstoppable chain reaction to get me 106,070.
Trying @wrw01‘s strat, but didn’t get 1st shot quite right, so pig on right remained after 2nd shot. Cleaned that out with 3rd and got >111K!
I was shocked to get 116k… I hadn’t seen the walkthrough until I started writing this comment, but I arrived at exactly the same strategy independently (it is admittedly pretty obvious, and they’re very easy shots to repeat again and again). The boomerang bird hitting the stone block almost completely wiped out the right-hand part of the structure for nearly 31k. Terence hit the sweet spot at the top corner of the hollow stone blocks and passed straight through the top pair, and the resulting collapse fell just right and annihilated almost the entire level. Only a few stray blocks and helmets remained.
120670/2 by the first two shots of the video walkthrough. i was playing for 129k+ destruction after the 1st, and for the 2nd to crash through the hollow blocks. to get consistency on it was taking aim (fully zoomed in on ipad air) by letting the top tailfeather of the bird overlap a bit with the dark green patch of foliage in the background. already improved a bit (from 15.5k to 16k-) within 5 attempts, so decided to try it some more. as it turns out, in this way the 2nd crashes through more often than not, and after something like ten 110k+ scores within 20 minutes got lucky and obtained almost total destruction after the 2nd, as still visible in the picture taken shortly after the 2nd:

(was just in time to capture most of the scene, but too late for the right side; nothing much was left there anyway, already not after the 30k 1st bird of that run)
hm. that’s three top scores in the big setup in the past few days for me (apart from this one also levels 11-8 and 9-10). unexpected, given these are quite old and tested levels (and for this level even more so, as i have not been doing anything new afaik).
You need to get lucky on this level to get a great score.
i misplaced the digit 1 in the comment above: 129k+ should read 29k+, and it should also be 115.5k to 116k- instead of 15.5k to 16k-.
I have been trying my own way without help of walkthroughs to see how close my strategy comes to the videos from slim. Last three have been spot on which is kind of interesting, though this is my best score out of the last few levels according to rank. Any advice @vuelva lol
sorry @revcarl, for some reason i didn’t get notified of your comment, and only saw it just now.
always willing to help, but what kind of advice would you like to have? finding the walkthrough strategies yourself is already pretty comforting (well, i find it comforting myself when i do), since it will allow you to 3-star the level, and in the case of this level will even allows one to get top score as i found out recently (but that’s the case only for a minority of the levels i think). so to get higher than your current 346th place in this level all that is needed is some (often pixel precise) repetition. just let me know.
(mentioning myself @vuelva, for testing purposes)
In fact the strategy in the video is the right one ;-)
With slight variations in positioning to improve scoring and consistency…
The first bird trajectory is slightly lower so that the stone block is sent with more speed into the structure.
An average score is 27-28k at this point with a maximum score of 75k.
(it was not helpful though, the fallout of the second bird was really bad on this one.
The trajectory for the second bird is slightly higher than in the video, leading to more destruction.
And this is the result after my second bird for my best score.
And the highscore screenshot.
Hope it helps.
123010 with 2 birds.
Same strategy for the Daily Challenge.
After watching @karen68 video it was clear that the challenge was to get an almost total destruction.
So here is my final result, with only one small piece of wood remaining.
And this is the highscore screenshot.
@sweetp
Nothing new, similar to video. First bird boom-a-rang into right side block. Second at left corner (a bit lower) to collapse hollow blocks and continue through for near total destruction. Third bird, don’t need, bonus points! 122,800
Only an hour into the challenge & I managed to hit the sweet spot with Terence.
2 shots like the walkthrough. Had 28k after the 1st shot.
2nd shot Terence bowled right through, leaving only a few hard hats on the ground.

@Karen Congrats on the great score and puppy! thank you for the video ☺
I haven’t played these old levels for sooo long, since i first started flinging I think, I was able to improve by over 10k thanks to your help!
