Beware! The piggies are invading the original Angry Birds app!
One strategy for Angry Birds Bad Piggies level 21-1 is to split a Blue bird into the leftmost TNT, spraying the level with debris. Bomb the middle of the level with White bird. It should ricochet into the hill on the right then roll down and detonate both TNT below. Those crystals are worth 3000 pts. Finally, launch yellow aiming at the last TNT on the right, causing the boulder to fall on the last pig. The score in the video below is 92,100.
It can be done with two birds. Basically, as shown on walkthrough video, but the second bird’s body should detonate the upper TNT and take the right side, while the egg should explode the two TNT’s on the bottom.
Thanks @annach for the post on the two bird solution. Seems that releasing the egg at the last moment and to have the White Bird a tab higher worked to get the stone triangle to fall into the bottom tnt.
@wrw01 — Are you the one who talked about describing strats in terms of wind and current? Also @annach In any case, I would appreciate more detail on how to get an above-average score. How do you aim the second bird, and where do you activate it? What is the score after the first shot, and what is left. Thanks for your help.
@mvnla2 I have not described strategies in terms of wind and/or water current. Wondered about that, especially the water’s wave motion of Bad Piggies. If you find the person, please cc me because now you planted the seed and now I am curious.
I suspect it was @Burbman then. I would still appreciate more details about the 2-bird strat, since I am still struggling to get above average, which seems to be getting higher each day.
@mvnla2 – are you referring to my discussion with @rd about how many of his strats are based on launch angle, where mine tend to be more about target designation? Hence my strats are more current based (where they go), and his are more wind based (from where they blow)?
@Burbman — Yes! Thanks! I guess I was hoping for both the wind and the current tips combined into one. I think that’s the perfect strat description.
@wrw01 Guess I wanted it to be you in the hope that you would provide more details.
I will get back to you working presently
@mvnla2 Now sure this will help but this is what I did:
1. Blue Bird: the bottom one hits the gold wrench (also works if something else breaks it from the explosion to the right, tired to destroy it) and any of the other two knocks off the glass plank to tumble the cart. Like the video but I could not obtain all their destruction. That is the easy shot.
2. White Bird: I tried to time the release to get the egg as close to the vertical wood plank above the tnt. Something like when the WB is over the right tip/edge of the green base rock just to the left of the tnt. This takes a little adjustment, also high and low, to get the WB to go to the top tnt. The WB has to be a bit higher than the horizontal wood plank above the tnt. My challenge was to get something to roll down the hill to activate the tnt. ABN video has the stone triangle which I could not get to move. Then I had one of those “lucky” explosions where the WB and a piece of cart came down the hill, which then hit the triangle, which then hit the bottom tnt.
Hope this helps but I just kept restarting and changing the launch position bit by bit. I know you have been doing the same but I share your feelings. For me it is fun because when I do get it, the rocky theme is sung, hands in the air and dancing around the room. Good fling’n mvnla2.
@wrw01 thanks for your tips/strat I was able to get 107k with it! It took a few tries but I got it! :-) you’re awesome!!!
To enable this one of the first blue birds has to break the glass on the right side. This clears the way for the chicken body.
Wow, Annach, thanks for the tip — I was totally frustrated with this level until I saw your description, and now have one of my best scores!
Wooohooo! 12k improvement in today’s challenge! Have to admit my stomach dropped when I saw the level as I HATE lobbing that bird. I went into the level today playing it as I always had so didn’t bother coming back into the walkthrough. As I suspected there wasn’t really another way to play this level,it was just waiting patiently on that perfect white bird placement. Seeing as it’s a lazy Sunday I decided to stick with it and 2hrs of resets finally paid off! I’m pretty sure at the time I would have used the advice above by @wrw01 as that’s how I played today,so even though it’s a more than 18mnths after the fact, thank you!!
What I want to know is who trained the White Bird to do the snake crawl down the chasm?
I pretty much did the video method for the blue bird, then launched the white bird up at a higher trajectory, so that, after launchig the egg to the middle, it would ricochet into the TNT on the far right.
The yellow bird was left for bonus points. I’ve always had one or two crystals remain undestroyed, so this seemed to me as the better trade-off, as I was able to get all three wrenches.
This is how I did mine too with two birds. I got the wrenches but I couldn’t even get the two bottom tnt’s to explode much less the cystals.
You must have a magic finger @truckdriver, I’ve only been able to finish this level with 3 birds, the useless white chicken isn’t even good for eating.
Perseverance pays, @sadbird! :-). I couldn’t begin to tell you how many resets of the level I went through, mostly because it’s been nearly a year, and I’ve completely forgot! Getting the white bird to fly off on a specific trajectory after dropping the egg bomb does take much practice, though it can be done.
101100 so far, similar to the video, but more damage on the slope down to the ‘tnt gap’, the egg got the lower TNT’s and the corpse W/B hit the upper TNT. Score can be better evidenced by the 107K top score in the leaderboards.
I use an iPhone. I’ve been trying and trying and I have never once been able to explode the TNT with the egg. Where are you letting the egg land?
How did you get 101k ? I’m stuck at 92k and have tried 100’s of times to two bird and blow all TNT’s.
Ya, this one is a difficult one for me too. I found that dropping the egg last second before WB hits that little verticle stone beside the middle little pig on top of the horizontal stone gave better results. WB flops slowly up to set off TNT and falls back down into the gap hopefully busting that stubborn triangle ice on the bottom. First blue bird late split into duffle bags (?) sometimes sends TNT down slope without breaking the tall structure.
Kind of hard to do. I was hoping someone had an easier strategy to get the bottom TNT with the egg.
Has this been mentioned before? If not why not? Just in case. The easiest way to get three stars is to fire the Blue Bird, high arc, into the furthest TNT. This will destroy the right hand pig and golden spanner. A usual by-product of this is that it will also destroy the nearest TNT (with the oil can on top). The boulder will roll down the hill (destroy the rest maybe?)anyway, 60k + without any effort. It’s then easy to finish off with the white bird. I’m not saying this will get the high score but it does make life easy and I have a sneaky suspicion that a one birder, maybe a turkey, will arrive in time for Christmas!
The white bird by the way should be fired high so that it falls gently down into the gap on the left of the remaining structure and egg released at last moment. This will hopefully break the glass barrier and fire off the TNT.
Split for blue bird should take place just as it passes over the oil can so that one of the three hits the top right TNT.
Not too much to add. Used the video strategy, but used the white bird to first ricochet and trigger the cart and big rock on the far right to wipe out the pig, wrench, and do some additional damage. Concurrently, the TNT fell to the left, cleared out a lot of debris for the white carcass to finally trigger the bottom TNTs. Lucky me. One crystal was left, though, so higher scores are clearly possible.
Oh, screenshot here – http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/8982/201vx.png
A belated congrats to you @luvtub! A higher score may be possible, but not very likely!
Almost as in the video.
The first bird is used to clear the path for the egg and do some additional damage on the left side.
Here is the trajectory and the result: http://angrybir.de/1gTpDN5
At this point the score should be around 50k (up to 55k is possible).
The second bird is really tricky. It must drop the egg at the bottom of the remaining vertical wood plank, and the carcass must detonate the top TNT.
When all goes well, the top boulder is rolling on the wood before killing the rightmost pig and all the glass blocks are destroyed so that the two bottom TNTs are triggered.
Here is the resulting damage for my highest score: http://angrybir.de/1gTq2Pm
And here is the highscore screenshot: http://angrybir.de/1aJAdxA
Hope it helps.
Thanks @asher! Your screenshots and description really helped me on today’s Challenge. I finally increased from 93k to nearly 110k. I’ve had the most difficulty getting Matilda to do her thing and get rid of the bottom debris and the top TNT and right pig. This time, her carcass only did a bit of damage below, but the cement triangle dropped down more and broke the bottom glass and the cement ball dropped to the bottom TNT which sent the little ball to the left bottom TNT and crystals. Had one crystal left.
thx to @asher for the details and pictures
here my video:
On my first stab at this level, I worked out a different two-bird strategy. First bluebird, high lob, splitting so that top bird hits the top-right TNT; the little stone piece left of that TNT often flies back and hits the left TNT. Then second eggbird, nearly straight up lob, dropping egg in valley near gray wrench.
My best score that way was 100040, outside top 100. So I’m gonna go back and try the video strategy.
Finally gained 6000 points using annach’s strat. My original strat (described above) did not generate enough wood & stone destruction to get high scores.
– Same as me, but the little stone didn´t find its way to the left TNT.
But that was quite good, so the boulder does not fall into the pit.
– Second bird in an high arg, so that you let the egg fall close to the upside wood in the pit, white bird catapults right.
– Third bird deep under the left cart. TNT explodes, debris flying everywhere and the boulder destroys on its way down, whats left there.
Thats for a nice 107k.
@amslimfordy ~ Just a post to advise my fellow antiquated PC users that in Angry Birds V4.0.0 for the PC platform that the 5/3/14 Challenge is actually Bad Piggies LEVEL 20-1 ~~~ rather than Level 21-1.
115890/2 for top spot
Apologies for c**p screenshot, ran this on an old PC that I can’t link to Wi Fi. @luvtub was right, a higher score was possible by destroying all the crystals. Same approach, ultimately more luck, but really nailed the second shot. I’ll stick my neck out and say that this is virtually unbeatable unless you want to waste an awful lot of time.
I just don’t get your screen shot! Sorry. Would it get you a puppy? Sorry to be blunt 😁
@steviep147, please don’t worry about this.
@desperate-dan is not competing for a puppy. He’s just showing his top score proof, and given the explanation he has given, the score is acceptable.
Congrats on the trophy!
No it wouldn’t get a puppy and I wouldn’t claim one. It’s a lot more proof than a load of trophy scores though, you have to admit. As far as I know, there is no stipulation to display the tally page when backing up a trophy score. So I’m sorry it’s not very good, couldn’t think of another way of doing it. The issue here is the unavailability of ABO. Bluestacks is the only way now I think. This is ABO version 7.2.0 and I can’t get versions past that to run on any of my machines. When I run Bluestacks I am liable to miss the high score. No co-ordinates, just recording good shots. That can take hours in itself.
The first sentence sums it up well. When and if this level turns up as a daily challenge then questions may be asked. Perhaps @sweetp could have a look.
Sorry, what questions? I’m confused now. I don’t know what this has got to do with the Challenge.
I’ll explain. If your top score (and the other at 22-8) becomes a daily challenge target then I have no doubt people will question its validity. I think! IMHO all top scores, as they are in the Daily Challenge, should be properly validated and should always be accompanied with a screenshot preferably in play together with the tally screen. Otherwise it lacks credibility. Personally I wouldn’t do it and I do have some scores that fit that criteria that I have not entered and I have actually removed one that I couldn’t justify. Saying that there is no stipulation to display the tally page is not a good argument. @admins
I really need to understand in what way a screenshot from my PC clearly showing my high score, backed up by a description of the strategy, lacks credibility or can’t be justified. In my view it is 100% proof. I wouldn’t have a clue how to fake it. I’ll accept it won’t get a puppy, but that’s not the issue. We are running into big problems if nobody trusts anyone else. I would absolutely trust any long standing member of the nest on matters such as this.
Take today’s Challenge (Red Planet Mirror World). There is no visual proof for the high score. There is no coherent explained strategy. So why are you not raising questions on that?
I think we’ll leave it at that. We can agree to disagree and still be friends on here I’m sure. Thanks for your feedback. It’s only a game when all is said and done.
@steviep147, I don’t see any problems here. His score is legitimate, so it’s not necessary to worry about it. It’s Spring! Enjoy the beauty around you.
Yes, I’m fine with that. Thanks. It’s all a bit of a mess if we are honest but too late to sort out now.
I may well still take off my Classics scores. It just requires a fair bit of organisation on my part. I reckon about a 700k boost.
