This is our walkthrough video for Angry Birds Rio Timber Tumble Feather Bonus Level #1. The level is unlocked by earning 7 feathers with Mighty Eagle in Timber Tumble. One strategy is to fling the Orange bird just below the floating platform. Then fling another under the main structure. Between those two, the level should be unstable enough to pop all marmosets. The score in the video below is 177,060.

Second shot at the lower marmoset, activating when it hits the stone behind him. Got a good push into the back structure, which then collapsed back to the left and taking out the debris from the front part for extra points. 188160

First shot like video. For easy perfect aiming, zoom in full and find the longest black feather on the 2nd OB’s head. Aim so that feather is pointing at the center of the sling pouch. This works, but having the feather point a few pixels left of center is better.

Second Shot over the top, as close to the boxes as possible to fall into the gap between structures. Inflate OB just after he kills the bottom marmoset, when he’s between the bottom two horizontal planks. Also good is inflating after OB kills the upper marmoset and is between the upper planks.

Thanks for the tip about inflating the second shot just before it hits the ground. Got lucky with destruction of most of the large structure, which is key to decent scores.

Thank you sooooo much for your strat and aiming tips @kelani and @raven22 for your tip on 2nd bird.
You both are right on the money!

Following both tips, in less than 30 mintues I scored 194k. I was shocked.

FYI note: At one point I also scored over 183k with 3 birds.
After 2nd bird, one lousy marmoset was thrown to the left, just clear of the destruction. He was just standing there laughing at me. So I sent in Matilia to bomb the one marmoset with her egg (just so I can have the last laugh), her carass continued on, flew into the middle to get more of the stone blocks for 183k+.
So don’t give up after 2 birds, try the 3rd!

195050 with 2 birds.

Same strategy as described by @kelani.

You can usually get around 75k after the first bird. After that it’s just pure luck.

Thanks for the post @kelani on the first bird. Worked great. The activation of the second bird also was in the best place between the two planks. The second bird was the challenge in getting it down the gap. Nose almost touching the slings base.

193240 shows up in today’s Challenge list but is an old score which I re-typed to the leaderboard, after I saw that it had mysteriously disappeared. No idea why and when the score has been removed, I never got a notification.

3 birds.
Bird 1 high arc to do some damage to boxes etc on upper platform; need to clear left 2 boxes to clear a path for shot 3.
Bird 2 as shot 1 in video. 2 marmosets between the structures need to be cleared.
Bird 3 high arc & drop egg to collapse structures. Not a carcass clears the high structures.

Hi @steviep147.

Visiting for the Daily Challenge today so just noticing your request.If you have the latest Android version on your emulator can will earn enough coins to unlock all the feather levels(don’t know about ios).If you’re asking specifically about the Mighty Eagle alas in-app purchases have not been available in Rio for some time.If anyone knows different please tell,one of my AB regrets is not buying Rio ME when I had the chance.I did hear it was still possible by tricking your phone into thinking it was in Zimbabwe but even that door was closed when Sony took over Rovio a while back.

Anyway you probably figured this out ages ago but seeing as no one else responded thought I’d mention what I know on the subject.

Thanks Brian. I know how to do both thanks. I was just having a bit of difficulty finding this level previously. Probably because I had rarely taken part in Rio. I’m with it now.

Can I have a grump about how weedy Orange Bird is on Rio?It’s almost as if he’s been programmed to behave himself and not go berserk causing damage as he does in other AB games.He’s strong when he expands but has no power in the afterburn.Best you can hope for with OB1(I know,where’s Kenobi when you need him?)is after expanding he goes up and takes out some of the wood hanging from the tree.As @asher remarked 75k is common(providing both marmosets in the central gap are gone).OB2 just seems to make a hole for debris to fall into and that’s where your luck comes in.Less common for me were total scores over 190k(only 2 in 2 hours this morning.This is using @kelani excellent strategy.Grump over.

@briann Nice score and totally justified grump. In three hours of play today using the same (apparently only high scoring) strat, I scored over 190k three times and could not improve on my existing 192k score. Bubbles #2 needs to exhibit more rambunctious instead of just sitting there after rapidly expanding.
