Almost official confirmation Fight is being culled

Unfortunately, your advice makes sense but is counter productive. The advice should be everyone buys a gem pack to give Rovio a reason to reconsider.

There are a lot of very angry players on the AB Fight FB Pro page/group & apparently Apple agrees with them as to how Rovio has handled this because refunds for in App purchase are being issued. There may only be a small group complaining about how Rovio handled this, but it would seem Apple listens better to their customers. I think some Google players are requesting refunds.

Perhaps this will impact how Rovio & other developers handle their decisions to stop running Events for which players use in App purchases to participate.

@tomt, not 100% sure, but I presume Apple agrees with customers/players….then again, it has to be charged back to Rovio, so it won’t be Apple that loses the revenue. I really hope A LOT of players receive refunds & it impacts how Rovio & other game companies handle the cessation of Events like we had in Fight. I still have quite a lot or Arena Tickets & will give Rovio another week or so before requesting a refund as their reply to Events say & I’m paraphrasing, “not now,” vs “never again.”

“there were still players to be matched up” – Yeah the game is still playable as long as they do not shut down their servers and I know that lots of friends still play it. For that you don’t need events. I just wonder why they don’t start events automatically, or just restart them, with same rewards (lots of newer people never played the older events). After all it’s the puzzle part of the game that makes it so great.

It’s their website; they have rights to modify or edit posts. It’s not a good practice, because people are going to know, and people are going to talk, but people are also very forgetful……

Yeah. Sadly, the shareholders see it clear: most money are made from stupid games (don’t think, just tap-tap-tap for awesome, rebuy if fail) – you surely have seen lots of ads in-games for those stupid games. AB fight creates some challenge for the average r*tards, thus not very attractive for them.

As for me I still didn’t find any replacement for ABF, so I’m staying in game :D. That puzzle fighter part is just awesome.

Well I meant the recent incompetence in development, and amateurism in their FB announcement handling, and un-seriousness in their support area (inability to understand English, and some Engrish in their responses) – all makes me pretty sure they’ve outsourced all to India :D
