Angry Birds Seasons Mooncake Festival Level 1-13 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Mooncake Festival level 1-13 is to lob the first Yellow bird into the top of the first full triangular structure. Fire the next Yellow bird through the string of wooden debris on the way to the TNT at the middle of the structure. The score in the video below is 89,140.

i got 111700 basically shooting the first two bird where the video shows to shoot the first bird. with a bit of luck, you’ll get through to the TNT, and the whole structure on the right will crumble and fall down..

103,250 Same sort of method as “thejay” Just shoot the first yellow bird to the right of the highest wooden structure (where the third pig from the left is) and he’ll break through a lot more wood. Just hope no stones get in the way of the “sideways H” as I call the wood plugging the hole to the TNT and fire your second bird down there. If it blows up it takes everything over to the right out.
One issue that bothers me about all the Angry Birds games is that the level ends when stuff is still breaking! I would have had a much higher score on this level if there was a button you could hold to stop the level from ending in order to get all the points for the breaking structures. It would be an easy fix to release in an update and I’d even pay 99 cents for it. So many levels would be much higher for me if they would let the structure fall after all the pigs were dead. <—-Rant for the month.

The premature ending of the game is a bug that seems to have cropped up in more recent levels. Many of the early levels, especially in the original edition (not Seasons), would wait until the last bit of movement stopped before counting the score. Rovio are probably not applying decent quality control when checking and validating the levels for release these days.

This has existed since The Big Setup. There is some protocol that calls for the level to end. I would grow very impatient if I had to wait for everything to completely stop. I get the complaint, but a good lesson is to have a couple birds remaining. It buys you some more time.

Yeah it is annoying, but this is where you need to change your game a little, be a little more strategic, if you have the same birds in a row, switch your order around so most of the structure falls while you still have birds left… as annoying as the “bug” is, I find it more frustrating waiting 30+ seconds for nothing to happen in case there’s on more block that never falls – for this to happen every game would be mind numbing. Take it as a game challenge rather than a bug :)

OK, I get that there needs to be some way of determining when the game ends, but the current situation is sometimes ridiculous. I have played some levels where the cheering has started before the last pig has even completely evaporated…

What is worse is when the last pig is rolling towards an edge where it will fall, and the game ends before that can happen, denying you the win.

I really don’t see the problem with waiting for a few seconds. Impatience is irrelevant. Either you have a high score, in which case you will be happy to wait, or you have a low score in which case you will just hit pause and reset the level. Nothing is forcing you to wait to the very end.

What drives me nuts is when I’ve shot the black bird off, he hits and turns red, then the game ends before he blows up!

104540 , basic same as video, but instead of first bird at high angle I aimed it more directly at the long flat board. Thank you got help.

By Kathy

I’m sorry. I only used 2 birds. The first as I said above and the second the way the 3rd was shown in video. Eliminating the need for the second shot in video.

Thank you @Kathy for an excellent tip, I also used only 2 Birds following your strat.

In what update did they modify this level? The small pig on the top left (wearing the paper hat) is moved near the other end of the same wood piece, close to where the small wood block is resting in the video (i.e., almost exactly where the first shot hits the structure). I play on Android, if it makes a difference.

Same on the Mac version. I noticed it as soon as I looked at the walkthrough because my first shot almost always hits the little stone that keeps the pig from rolling down the slope. It is right in the path of the best opening shot, and it really slows down the yellow bird, so I find myself trying to figure out how to just miss it, usually to the right. That takes out the pig it’s holding up, and then sometimes the stone falls to kill the very first pig on the left, which can be a problem to get. Still, I think it makes this level more difficult having it where it was moved to.

I found a way to avoid the stone obstacle: shoot the first bird in from the side, through the first steeply slanted board and triangle, and underneath the sloped board that the pig with the stone sits on. Your target is the thick wooden block that the third pig from the left is sitting on. Ideally you break or even just weaken that block. This takes out the first three pigs. Then the second bird goes through where the third pig was, down the wooden “chute” to hit the TNT. If you break the horizontal board under the block with your first shot, it means that more wood will tumble into the chute, but a well placed second bird will still go through it all. However, if stones fall in with the wood, just start over because you won’t get through them.

Score 112690 in 2 birds. Shoot first bird up but rather flat through leftmost wood structure to pop upper 3 pigs on the left. Take out as much wood as possible for more points. Shoot second bird like the 3rd bird in the video to explode the TNT. This method consistently yields 3 stars with scores usually in the 102-106k range.

Was having a hard time with this level and put the tablet down for a minute on a freshly restarted level. Maybe a minute later, I heard a series of crashes and looked back to discover that the pigs’ movements had set off the TNT with no birds used, for a score of 126410! Maybe not the most honest strategy, but after trying for half an hour to get three stars, it was pretty sweet!
