The "previous best" score shown on tally pages (when you get a score that's lower than it) has no indication of being gotten with powerups, as in this pic, where the "previous best" of 25540 used PUs; in this example, the main shown score of 23880 was without PUs.

(Long story short: Rio has ZERO separation between "clean" and powerup scores, with no lightning bolt.)
