Nice top score @kelani! Still trying to break 77k, so I have to ask where did you aim to get all the damage points?

Hah, the whine factor still works! Well, just a teeny bit better but still going for more!

@SweetP I used the video’s shot, but I let Luca crash into the plank that is the first-floor “ceiling” on the bottom left of the big structure. I triggered once he impacted. Yo have to be quick or the obstacle prevents his beam from hitting low on the second structure.

Thank you @sweetp & @kelani. It was kelani’s response …. “let Luca crash into the plank that is the first-floor “ceiling” on the bottom left of the big structure. ” …. that allowed me to finally 3* after dozens of 2-bird flings for 1* scores.

I knew I was really missing something.

Despite the fact I live on the East Coast, I have no access to reliable internet. More than 1/3 of the time that I need access, we have no signal & very very rarely is it fast enough to allow me to view an ABN or YouTube video, so when there’s huge release like this & the Admins don’t have the time to add text to their videos, I have to rely on Members’ comments. It’s really the only way, especially with new birds & their powers.

Eventually, with your help, my 79k 3* improved to just under 82k & finally 83300, which is enough for #1 for perhaps the next several hours, so thanks again.

@justpast40 Sounds like you live in my town. We had the same connectivity problems until Google built a data center. Now we have different problems. :)
Just so you know, the walkthrough text descriptions will be added at some point.

Good for you, @justpast40 and congrats on your *brief* top score!
That’s what I like about the Nest, where we’re always here to help others out, and I’m glad @kelani‘s tips helped you. Now, back to the flinging for me, to try and break 80K.

Thanks @kelani for the aiming tips. I also noticed the higher score (sorry I beat you by 600 pts.) depended on the upper right tower falling over onto the bottom structure, instead of to the right for more damage points.

@SweetP Glad you and @justpast40 got some high score time too. Once the boards fill up with swap scores, our little scores are in big trouble :)

@kelani,I never thought of it that way, as I don’t use character swaps because I disagree with using that score advantage. But you’re right, we’re in trouble! Gaaah!

Is character swap only possible with telepod or is it the same when i spend coins that i have earned in the game to swap a character? I’ve got a highscore on this level because i did swap stella in this level and at the end i still got my 3 luca’s! Can i fill in the highscore or would this be an illegal score? I don’t want any trouble again! Please, can somebody explain it to me before i fill in the score!

Greetzzz, @Bangry-Ird :-)

Thanks for being honest about your score @bangry-ird. In answer to your question, here’s what the Leaderboards page says:
“Squawk! On this leaderboard scores obtained using character swaps are permitted, but scores using the Hammer Power Up are NOT (with the exception of level 13)! Please submit a strategy on our walkthrough pages explaining which characters were used and how you used them.”

Sooo, yes character swaps are allowed, (no telepods) but not the Hammer PU.

@sweetp, now I’m confused by response to @bangry-ird …. in the last sentence …. the use of “(no telepods)”.

I only have SW 2 Telepods, but thought they were permitted as they’re part of the game’s design.

Sorry @justpast40 for the confusion. I meant we can switch characters within the game, like switching Stella out for Luca, etc. and not using (purchased) telepods for flinging. Hope that makes sense?

Sorry @sweetp, of course that’s what it says

@bangry-ird one of the differences in character swaps in Stella is, if you swap a bird, it adds that bird at the front of the lineup. The replaced bird just hops off the sling, and becomes the #2 bird. So in addition to the score boost from swapping, you’ll get an extra 10k for every original lineup bird you don’t fling. Can’t say I like it, but that’s the way Rovio made it.
