Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine level 1-37 is to launch Obi-Wan around the planet towards the bottom right pig-trooper. This is a relatively difficult shot. Send the bird at approximately three-quarters impulse, not too close to the planet. Obi Wan has to land paralel to the bottom structure. Once there, initiate the Force leftward to send blocks through the tnt. The resulting explosion should destroy all the pigs.

That is a very difficult or – lucky – level. Took me about an hour to three star.
I have to agree, this one is tough!!
Finally got it with 76500
The method you use was also what worked for me. Seeing the atmosphere, I had initially figured it would require a flyaround, but I couldn’t get the aim at first. I tried lots of other strategies and finally came back to this strategy. I didn’t need to do three-quarters impulse as you say. On my screen, when I aim at the to of the planet, there are two stars near the edge of the atmosphere that line up with my trajectory. Just above them, there is a single star – that’s what I aim for.
I put Obi-wan roughly about the middle of the planetary atmosphere, enough to slingshot him around the planet and put him in the correct location to use the force. Took me about six attempts to get it just right.
@TruckDriver, Only six attempts??? WOW!!! You need to be awarded a plaque in the Slingers Hall of Fame. Congrats on behalf of President Mitt Romney and staff.
Yeah, you gotta get lucky every now and then!
@werewolf69 we can only dream:( nice shooting @truckdriver
Now, if my score would match my aspirations, then all would be right with the universe! :-)
I got it it in 10-12 attempts
Once I destroyed almost everything but with using 2 birds and got no 3 stars. I think that for 3 stars you can use only 1 bird.
I DID manage to do it with 1 bird and I got 75, 120
I noticing a lot of “lucky” levels. I really like the game but these levels where there is only one shot and it as to be perfect are not much fun
This is NOT a lucky level but precision one. With no film I ritch 66.990 / 2 Birds. After the film – some work on trajectory and 77.870 – 7th at first precision shot. I will improve.
Maybe this will help. I find regular shaped 3 stars in the middle way to planet as an orienting point. I could improve my first score but make a lot of 74, 75, 77 K and 250 under my record.
3 Stars = triangle and couldn’t improve of course.
It depends on how you define LUCKY. I’m a very good shooter, but I have not been able to replicate any of these strategies!!!
@Bird-tester — I think I followed your aim point. To elaborate: On an iPad, fully zoomed in, at ~3 o’clock, a little more than half-way to gravity field, there is a triangle of bright stars. Aim just above bottom to stars; rinse and repeat. Too low, and OW hits planet; too high and he does not hit right tower. Wait until he hits right tower and activate. Activation point is wire triangle on left tower. Of course, lots of people have higher scores than this. Would love to know how @joey got his.
I agree 100%…….not much fun when you cannot replicate the shots in the video, and have to be more lucky than perfect with the one shot it does take. I don’t mind a good challenge, but I also get bored with attempting the exact same shot 1000 times and getting drastically different results, and NONE of them match the necessary shot.
I definitely would say it took luck for me to get this. I always make myself pass a level before looking at the videos to try to get 3 stars, but I could not get beyond 2 stars, so I watched the video. I got lucky on my 9th try, and there definitely was no precision to it on my part! I’m shocked I got it, since I tend to take hundreds of tries on ones that have such a small window for success. I tried aiming so carefully and failing the first few times, and then I just relaxed and let Obi go w/o any precision aiming, and that’s when it worked. The score was not phenomenal (75,xxx) but I’ll take it!
3 star with 77640. Very close to video but got lucky with the extra damage.
Thanks for the video these level was very difficult.
Forget about ¾ impulse, that’ll just get you crashing onto the planet, enter the field of gravity at about a 290° to 300° trajectory which should enable Obi to semi-orbit the planet and crash into the right side of the right structure and then apply the Force.
Added: 3 January
This is something I should have done since I first posted this strat, sorry I took so long. The screenshot I’m providing is with screen fully zoomed out and shows the exact entry point for semi-orbit at “Full Thrust”. I Hope this helps my fellow players.
http://angrybir.de/VwUIKH
77670 – Thanks! after 2 hours of the 3/4 impulse(which is damned hard to control trajectory on my PC with it’s standard wheel mouse), your description got my score after three attempts.
Thank you Liam, I’m happy it helped you out, I too have a PC and mouse that just won’t work with certain strategies and thereby force me to improvise.
@werewolf69, thank you so much! This needs to be the walkthrough strategy – it’s so, so easy. It’s definitely one of those “why didn’t I think of that? It seems so obvious!” moments.
@austinrhl, thank you very much for your vote of approval, it’s moments like these that make being a member of ABN worthwhile.
I agree with wherewolf69, I could hit the sweet spot much more consistantly, then by adjusting thrust power. Its too difficult to manipulate power and angle using an iphone
I’m playing on SE 4,2″. You must do some Force practice ;).
@birdbrain69, The Werewolf is here, I’m very glad that I was able to help a fellow 69er’, keep up the flinging.
Amazing! This really works!
I have managed to find out 100% aiming spot, at least for iPhone. I made three consequent shots, 77K each.
Make the smallest scale (big birds, less pigs visible). Aim around 290-300°, as told by @werewolf69, then look patiently on the background. Find 3 bright stars lying almost at the strait line; the most distant of them is located right at the end of aiming beam. Below those, less than in a millimetre, there 2 close dim stars. Aim straight between these ones, and the bingo is yours.
This may seem sophisticated when written, but actually it’s not. The aiming sector is actually very narrow: you take a bith higher and miss the gravitational field, you take a bit lower and ram into the bulger. So, zoom in at max, draw Obi in the sling, and look carefully at the end of a beam. You’ll see those stars, and as the aiming in AB is quantum, this trajectory is 100% determined to land Obi right on the far left structure.
A picture is attached. http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/3190/img0352f.png
Not sure that this will work on iPad, it may have a different background.
@und thank you! Very helpful pic!
You rock @und! I could not get my aim right for anything until I studied your pic. My final 3* for Tatooine at last – Thank you!!
@und, I’m very happy that I was able to help out a fellow member, and BTW, that’s an excellent description for geometrically challenged players to go by.
Thanks for the pic, got it on my third try bc of this…77+
Great help, thank you.
@werewolf69 Could I get a pic? I’m not very good with angles.
@spacemaster, look above at the description that @und has offered up, I couldn’t have worded it better, it’s as precise as one can get.
@spacemaster, look at my original post above, I’ve now included a screenshot that should help you if you still need it. Good Luck.
Nice strategy @WereWolf69. This level is hard and very annoying mostly, I think, because we just aren’t used to hard levels in Star Wars so far.
Like @werewolf, thanks for the image! I tap right on the TNT as Obi first reaches the top left corner of the structure. Would like to know where others with higher scores are tapping. Tapping the TNT works consistently for 76k scores.
Arg…. @werewolf69
Thanks Werewolf,
with your description was the course of Obi Wan a peace of cake I am only fighting with the release point as well as the direction of Obi Wans force….. But finally got it……
How many of you angry birds addicts were able to get three stars without looking at the video. Not me. Before I gave up and turned to the video I tried that shot around the planet many times with no success. I agree with the person who said that when sucess depends on a single lucky shot, the game is not as much fun. Few people are going to try a shot hundreds of times unless they feel sure it will work, eventually. which is why I looked at the video.
Hi!
No superpeople here, mostly. There’re easy levels and there’re difficult ones. I 3-starred by myself 35 out of 40 levels in Tatooine, and it was fun. just to complete the board, I had viewed the last 5 walkthrough videos, and did it.
I’d like to debate this concrete level as a sheer lucky shot, but there’s no point. For this certain level, I had found 100% working shot, no luck needed here.
I’m really sorry (seriously) of you to dislike something that takes more than 5 minutes to achieve. And, it it helps, I tell you: in this level your 3-star shot is determined as solid as an iPhone in your hands. The instructions were given, it’s only a matter to follow. Don’t like to be guided? No talks, then, cos the most of visitors of ABN are fine with guidances, at least in the game.
Good luck and patience! :)
I did, I always 3star everything behoren watching the video. I even try to get all my scores above average before watching, although I must admit I fail on a few levels. Usually because there is a better strategy found than what I tried.
I try to figure it out myself…about 1 out of 15 times I have to look at the solution. I discovered this one on my own in just a few minutes. 77680 pretty quickly. Came here to make sure I was not high score…which I never am.
so far 2 days trying to three star this level on Kindle Fire-bout ready to throw it out the window.
FINALLY 2 1/2 DAYS 75,800
I’m glad to see someone comment on kindle Fire. I have completed this level and moved on, on my PC, but my Kindle has me stymied. I have 70,400 and two stars.
Going around the planet often results in an endless loop or Obi drops down too far away from the target to do any good.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for the video, without it I would never have solved this one. I couldn’t work out the 290 degree strat – I thought that would be around 7 o’clock but couldn’t get the bird to encircle the plant unless aimed towards the top. Even at 9 o’clock he just slammed into the planet, it certainly took a long time but aiming just above the stars worked for me too eventually.
After much frustration, 76580!
Here’s an easier to understand and replicate aiming point that will work in zoomed out mode:
On the WNW edge of the grav field, there is a star that flickers. Wait until it shines brightly. Just above and to the right (inside the grav field) is another star. A full power shot that tracks that arc should put Obi-Bomb where he needs to be. Then it’s a matter of getting the right push. Much practice is required, young Jedi.
The angles helped. Think about 10:30 or so. Shot right under two dim stars at edge of gravitational field then tweaked the angle a bit. After 3 misses, pigs were BBQ. 74+K. I’d spent an hour trying before I finally checked walkthrough. No 3/4 shot…..full bore.
@Pigsticker
Full bore is the way we roll!
I think that upper left pigtrooper was probably the sergeant at pigtrooper survival school. Never seen a bubble quiver so much without bursting. And he’s an expert at getting behind cover.
Why? For me the lowest one and TNT was hard to rich.
@Bird Tester – Ahh, that’s part of the fun isn’t it? I didn’t have nearly as much trouble with that as that darn quiviring stormpiggie. And he was laughing at me too! I know he was.
Together we would have had one great shot!
My Non-Force capabilities are showing ;-(
The Force is definately NOT with me…I AM officially invoking the “Whine Factor”
Yeah! The Whine Factor is a beatuful thing ;-) It truly works!!!
I had more trouble with getting The Force to cooperate than getting the angle of the shot…
I got the angle down pretty well with help from tips above, all though ultimately I had to find my own star pattern to get it to work. I play on an iPad and it’s different then the iPhone. I also play zoomed out ( full screen view). It’s hard to explain the stars I used but I’ll try just incase it helps someone…anyone, lol ;-)
Just slightly above and right of bird in sling is a brighter star, then another bright star, ever so slightly lower and to it’s right, then a fainter one and finally another bright one. Basically a line of four, starting just above the sling and then going out to the right. I aimed just between the last two, the third fainter one and just before the fourth brighter one…actually closer to the fourth one. Then it should enter the gravity field at about 10:00 o’clock or so…there are three stars there. One right on the gravity circle and two more heading downward. I sent it through the third one. As I said, it’s hard to explain but maybe it will help someone.
Finally, I got The Force right! As Obi-Wan comes near the top right Trooper pig, I tapped the concrete plank and blocks to his bottom left and it FINALLY worked. I hope average stays at 75183 because I really don’t want to have to replay this level anytime soon ;-)…May The Force Be With You…it sure took it’s time heading my way ;-)
Hi @lesleyg how are u?,if u want the trajectory that i think every1 is finding the easiest this is a pic of 100 percent shot …if the link does not work ,any1 that wants to have a gander is quite welcome ,just go to my album ,best of luck… http://angrybir.de/TKlQRk
Why thank you my dear friend @xebic88 ;-) You are so kind to post this. I looked at your screenshot and it appears this is exactly where I have been aiming! Not to sound ungrateful but as I mentioned before, my problem seems to be with where to tap The Force…Do you have any tips on where I should apply The Force my sharp shooting friend? Any help would be greatly appreciated indeed ;-)
I have to say that all the discussion of 3/4 impulse and 290 degree trajectory and 3 stars as a target just confused me because my android device is different than the iphone. Your picture however did a great job and I literally got the mark within four attempts afterwards. The trajectory point is after 9:30 but before 11, somewhere around 10:30, but on an android device there is a lot of luck in hitting it. As far as the force tap, the video for me was spot on, but it took a few times and a bit of luck to get it right too.
Whew, looks like I need to spend more time honing my Jedi skills and less time in ABA therapy. I agree with @birdtester and @und that this level is about precision not luck. I tried using various aiming points but eventually found my own star to shoot toward, one that would take me close to the planet without doing a header. I did use the tip @lesleyg gave re activation point. Thanks to all for great tips.
So, I’m back. Easy level after taking some knowledge :). I highly raised my scores up to 79.490. Scores from 74 to 75K – piece of cake. Repetable 76-77K – but after tiny change a star viewfinder AND taping point.
Picture: http://angrybir.de/Vg5jeX – screen cut, maximum possible stater screen. Markers to adjust aiming:
1. Dice with 5 points.
2. Mirrored 2 or awful S.
3. Also ugly C.
I made drawing “paralel” to the points (markers) not over it.
For simply pass a level. Dice right left lower corner dot area. Aim rather micrometr higher then strictly at point (or at the top of point). You could fast imagine a line (above yellow line at picture). Two points at the middle section of the neck of S are important too. Crossing angle is minimal – you probably know this already. This points – or another star constellations at yours electronics devices – MUST be for viewfinder.
IF you catch an idea of adjust trajectory – you can play to place OW over top concrete shell, at a corner, at right wall, at lower wooden board etc. If you could repeat a trajectory – time to plat with tap point. For landing at concrete board – rather close to land point. If you could fly lower shelf or stick to the wall between top and bootom shell – you can move it further to the left.
“Catch 22” is a MUST to change tap point on the fly – forecasting a place of OW landing or passing by.
SWEET! i did it on my second attempt! the first time, i got 2 stars without the guide, and then i got 3 with this! and people said this was hard, just aim at the middle of the atmosphere and hope for the best. aim as north-west as you can after reaching the bottom and destroy those piggies!
I’ve been trying to 3 star this level for the last day or so and for the life of me, I just can’t get it. Either it loops around too much and goes back to hit the bottom center of the planet or it doesn’t loop enough and goes wide of the pillars on the right. And this is the only level I need to 3 star to finish the planet; so frustrating D:
used the strat in the video. it took a few attempts but it worked great. I use this page quite often, but only after i have tried numerous times. i always try to develop my own strats, but everyone can use a little help now and then. :)
Aiming needs to be VERY precise to get the right curve, but it does work. I used the stars to align my shot and finally got a good score of 75,600.
I know it’s a bit late for the challenge but I appreciate all the tips above! I find it hard to search for stars and calculate degrees of arc so I used what rovio gave me and got my score. I use an IPad and this is from fully zoomed out.
At approximately 2 o’clock target line right at the tip of the line there are two faint stars a target line breadth apart. The top one is a little farther from the sling and the faintest and lower one is a scootch closer. They Are located right over the middle of the blue antenna of the left tower. Aim just below the lower and Obi will hit the right tower just above the long wooden plank.
I target the right lower side of the TNT for the force push AFTER Obi has hit the plank. Voila. On my highest score, the solid box on the lower right was pulled up and crashed into the planet. Simple easy and repeatable.
WooHoo @swelld! Thanks for the confirmation description. If finally got the same zone down during the recent challenge. At least I was able to finally get Obe around the planet and close to the target area below a bit more faithfully. Your description helps more so I’ll keep on playing this to try and raise it without a challenge. ;-). Also thanks to @werewolf69 for his description above too! That is how I finally zeroed in on those faint little star.
Thanks for the additional details @swelld! I had the aim point down pretty well but was struggling with the force activation timing & placement. A few tries after reading your strategy got me there.
74570 was my score. I originally tried out this idea on my own but quickly abandoned it. Glad I found your video. I use full strength on the pull back, however I let the bird get a little lower before using the force. It’s all very random on how violent the force power is hitting the blocks. Sometimes it’s wimpy only once was it fast.
I pull back all the way in the sling shot and then line up to an inverted triangle of stars. Aim between the point and the tow points at the bottom.
It’s tough but possible. Took me ages. Went away and came back for a 3rd go and got it. Full power, just need to find the right line. 77750 :)
Well I worked on this level for 3 hours, trying different methods and such and when I finally got 3 stars it was by accident when I went to launch the first bird. My finger slipped off earlier than I planned and it just happened to be the right angles for total destruction. Good ridence to this level 75,530
Hang on with looking for a star, point, shoot. Then close the eyes and look after 20 seconds again. This is luck with a very big L.
I agree with what a few people have said here, it’s just a case of finding a pattern of stars between the bird and the planet that you can easily recognise each time and using those to orientate your trajectory till you find the sweet spot. Once you find it it’s easy to sling Obi-wan round to the correct spot each time, then the luck comes in, when you use the force push and cross your fingers as the debris scatters! I didn’t need to do three quarter impulse either, I just went full on.
I got all pigs in one shot by using strategy described above. Got only 72000 points and still 2 stars. SO FRUSTRATING
I followed the video and picked up tips from many posts, now i have no problem making the shot, BUT , i can’t get OB wan to give enough force always leaves the pig on the left on high tower laughing at me:(
I finally got it, after several frustrating one bird clear, under average score..thanks @werewolf69 for the screenshot it really helped:)
Geez this has to be in the top 5 of most obnoxious AB levels!! You get the aim even a teensy bit off and it’s a reset Again! I agree Kathy, thanks @werewolf for the screen shot and all the rest above for your tips on aiming! Ha I can only hope the next go round with Obi as more powerful will make this level a bit less tedious! Here’s hoping!! Nice score KitKat!! :)
Not bad yourself Kimmiecv yes this was one of THE trickiest levels of all..good job:)
Seven years later!!😕 And i still can’t get in the top 100!!
WWWwwwwHhhhhiiiinnnnnnneeeeee😭
Woot!! The Powah of the Whine still works!!m Spot 77 ☺
You’re quite welcome @kathy, keep up the good work. Happy Hunting!
After 4 attempts I got 3 stars by aiming & aligning my shot with the stars. Once you do that it’s an easy level no luck needed. I would like to get a higher score so I’ll keep going. :-)
