Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine level 1-22 is to launch Luke towards the first sand-pig next to the tnt box. Then aim Han Solos’ Blaster at the sand-pig attached to the steel plate above. His shots should ricochet towards the other pigs, clearing most of the level.
Use a third bird, if necessary, by aiming the blaster at the top right platform. Debris should fall on the remaining sand-pigs.

Blew Event: Moonracer – Time To Send The Wreckers In!
Here’s my two-shot method – Fire Luke short and blow TNT with Lightsaber, and the debris may clean the pigs above. Then shoot Han Solo’s blaster to top-right platform to clean the others.
Agreed. I find that you can generate the most debris by aiming Luke at the flat bit of stone just before the debris, then activating the lightsaber just before he hits.
I’ve also had the debris kill all but the pig on the swing; it hit that one as well, but left him swinging. I’m sure with lots of tries and lots of luck, lightsaber to TNT could be a one-birder.
Agreed – if the debris has not taken out the little pig wedged in at the top, restart.
Then aim Hans at the gulley and fire at the cradle – try to take out the plank rather than the wire.
Hit the TNT – then activate the lightsabre to get the most points from the debris.
Would agree with the rest, restart if the top piggy is left alive and shoot at the plank of the swing when possible. And with @austinrhl ‘s tip, I got 71k! Thanks guys!
Oops, sorry. Meant to thank @cmdrbond :P
Thanks, I got 70,210 because of your guide.
Thanks @deltaray worked great:) agreed with others little pig in upper corner must hi on first shot..or restart
The video helped as well so thanks to both:)
This was definitely my most successful methods. Firing Luke past the TNT to the pig rarely caused damage to any other pigs, but firing him short of the TNT & using the saber, worked well most of the time. Agree with the tip to shoot the wood with Han Solo rather than the chain too, as the chain often left the one pig hanging there alive!
I aim Lark Skywalker right at the upper right corner of the TNT. For me, the lightsaber destroys too much of the junk -even if you land him on the ground. The explosion takes out as many as all but the pig hanging from the platform. Then, as a couple people have said, take out the wood in the platform Han’s blaster. If there are more than one pig left, it is possible to the ricochet off the metal to eliminate them, but not consistently -and it’s certainly easier with the lower one.
Yep, when it leaves only the hanging pig, the wood has to be hit with teh laser. Score 71080
@Nathaniel Oxford that’s some very handy information. Once I started using it, my scores shot up by 5,000 points. I find that using the laser to blast the TNT before Luke gets to the pile is best.
I used the video’s method on this one, and did okay.
I Just wanted to know if anyone found a way to win this level with 1 birder.
i managed to finish tatooine levels with 1 birder except for this one.
Thank You
I believe a 1-birder, with Luke as the first bird, is very, very unlikely. The only hope is for Luke to smash the TNT and direct the debris to take out six targets.
It would be a major feat if accomplished.
1. Launch Luke into the debris pile. Aim to land on a small grey block located to the right of a longer grey block.
1A. Activate saber at impact for total destruction of debris pile and TNT.
The goal is to gain as many points as possible, approximately 19K+. Often Luke will bounce forward to destroy more debris and possibly the bottom left pig.
2. Launch Hans on a high arch to land on the downward slop at the cave’s entrance.
This kills the bottom left pig in the cave. If there is minimal hindrance in his path, he will roll forward to kill the pig on the stump at the bottom (Not always necessary).
2A. On Hans downward decent shoot his laser once he can shot through the top left hanging pig. Aim to the right of the second pig suspended from the cave’s ceiling.
The shot should ricochet off the grey ceiling beam and off the metal in the floating rock, to kill the remaining pigs.
May the force be with you.
I’ve made a video of @odie ‘s strategy for 73950 pts if anyone is interested :
http://youtu.be/wRzzk_Nzcsc
Thanks for the tips and the video @crazyrider and @odie; I love it when my eyes get opened to a new technique I haven’t figured out! Increased my score by 4,000+.
Same 2 birds strategy!
Your first shot is perfect! Great video thanks!
@crazy-rider. Nice strategy. Very repeatable. Your first shot is just slightly further than I was shooting…..that subtle difference made 5k difference in score. Thanks.
I found that if I launch Luke at the TNT and do not use saber the explosion kills most pigs. Then launch Han and shoot at wire hanging down the last two pigs pop.
I agree, Paul, especially with the more powerful light saber. You need to drop Luke on the tnt, and it saves a lot of debris to be blasted everywhere for more destruction without the light saber activated.
Tweaks: i)1st bird at the minimal distance end of the TNT.
ii)2nd bird as above.
1st bird into debri pile second one at a high arc shoot through the bird hanging on the entrance at the slab, all three shots will ricochet and take care of the rest of the pigs.
How do i get my bird to shoot straight??? I am going nuts!!! The bird only shoots down… Please help. What am i doing wrong?
If your bird is shooting straight down, then your tapping the bottom of the screen. He will shoot wherever you tap.
This is how I score around 70,000 quite constantly.
Launch the first bird directly at the TNT. Activate the lightsaber after the detonation to clear any remaining debris. The flying debris needs to knock off the first pig above the TNT. Most of the debris on the upslope in front should be cleared.
Launch the second bird so that it clears the debris on the downslope under the floating rock and knocks off the pig on the bottom. Shoot the laser to clear everything else. This is how:
Aim the laser at the rightmost valley high above the cave (right of the round mound, left of the pyramid). If you time your shot right, it bounces off the large mirror on the ceiling of the cave and the small mirror behind the floating rock, hitting the shelf. On the way it knocks off the two pigs by the mirrors. The tiles falling from the shelf will take care of the hanging pig and the pig underneath.
Trinit
@Trinit – Thanks for sharing the strat, managed to increase my score after few restarts :D My old score was below average so 72k is pretty nice :D Still going for a higher score, but the second shot is pretty tricky.
@trinit Wow. What a strat. I really had to work just to understand what you were trying to explain, but once I got it, it only took a handful more tries to really start racking up the score. Thanks!
@abcrazy since you were able to decipher the right of the round mound on the left of the pyramid could you maybe explain it? I’m well and truly lost?! I don’t see a round mound high up in the cave?? Kudos to you for breaking the code my friend! Most impressive! ;)
@kimmiecv the aiming point for the laser on the second shot is among the bumps on top of the cave (outside) not inside. The laser shot is inside the cave and ricochets to clear the level. So aim Han towards the bottom right to get what’s left there, about midway there, target the laser by tapping just to the left of the rightmost pyramid on top of the cave…. Above the hanging shelf full of blocks.
Thanks @trinit for the strat :) and ty @ABCrazy for helping to figure it out:)
Ahhh @abcrazy thank you! No wonder I was confused! LOL never thought to look Outside the cave!! Doh this world I’d sucking the life out of me!! ;D
@Kimmiecv my other comment still waiting moderation…I’m not getting the angle on second bird..OUTSIDE the cave? I almost got a one birder..only pig under swing left..but i messed up the second shoot as usual!!
Ummm best I can tell you @Kathy is those lumps of dirt up top are what he was talking about as to aiming I’ve hit every spot known to man and the most consistent one for me (its a wing and a prayer and I loathe this level too!) around the tip of the mirror where that pig thing sits just to the left of the bricks seems to be about the area. The problem is it’s a wishy washy level and I get different results Every. Single. Time. At this point I’m taking my piddly score and getting the heck out of dodge! KitKat I don’t think we’re Ever. Getting. Out. Of. Here!!! :/ Maybe you’ll have better luck!
@Kimmiecv up top ABOVE the cave? Your right this level is wishy washy..we’re never getting out of tatoonie its confusing…frustrating..and down right annoying!!!
Hi all, I can see it’s confusing to aim at a far-away point outside the cave.
Think of it this way: you want the beam to reflect from both of the mirrors before hitting the ultimate target. Therefore, you need to aim at the mirror image of the mirror image of the target.
Thanks @trinit for the strat and tips its confusing for sure..i can’t figure out exact aiming point for second shot..I’ve hit every spot on that mirror..but it won’t go where i want..I’ve tried aiming at swing strings but the pig just hangs there..i did improve with your strat..so a big thank you:)
Here is the strategy I converged to after playing this level for a couple of hours today. First bird exactly as Odie describes above. The goal is to destroy all the pile of debris to get as many points as possible and not to kill the pigs above. Sometimes the pig above the pile gets killed, but it is actually better if it stays. Second bird is similar to the strategy of Trinit: I send it so that on its way down its trajectory passes just under the leftmost hanging pig. As the bird approaches the pig start shooting by tapping at the last pyramid on top of the cave. This often killes all the pigs and sometimes drops the hanging shelf with blocks. Even if you don’t drop the shelf you can still get a high score of 73-74K with this strategy. If everything works just right, I believe one can get 75K. I did not reach it yet, but plan to work more on getting there. :)
@annach you’re so close! That’s the way I’ve been playing this one, combining the different strategies, thank you @odie, @trinit. You can send Luke pretty far into the debris pile, I’ve been swinging the sabre after impaact & you can get pretty well every bit of debris for 19k – if you get the 1st pig down the slope about 24k. The toughest part of the 2nd shot is the timing, but you’ve described it well. I’ve also scored over 73k without dropping the shelf.
And I agree, for some reason my scores were lower if the 1st pig up top was killed with the 1st shot, not sure why.
I didn’t manage a screenshot of what was left, but there were 3 blocks from the hanging shelf on the ground, plus a fair bit of foliage here & there. Good luck! :)
@AMslimfordy – screenshot:
http://angrybir.de/1ayrDTg
@karen68 – great score, congratulations! You now have the record number of puppies, nine!
Thanks @annach, I don’t expect that will last for long. You & @swelld are always lurking & pretty good at chasing down those doggies :)
Thanks @karen @annach and the earlier people who got them on the right track. Same strategy here. I think I know why the scores are lower when the top pig goes with the first shot. It is the fork that the pig is holding. When the pig drops with the first shot the fork never gets destroyed, while it can be on the second shot. Actually the forks are probably the key to the highest scores. When I got my highest score, I was trying to aim so the second shot went through the top fork. Count how many forks are left at the end. If there are 3 you probably don’t get the doggy. There were none left with my high score.
@amslimfordy here is my screenshot for the underdog http://angrybir.de/18uZnnX
I was working on my fork theory, and I think it is valid. Here are the results: When I had 0 forks left my score was 75,180. When I had ONE fork left, I had scores of 74,790 74,790 74,790 74,850 74,800 74,800 When I had TWO forks left I had a score of 74,450 When I had THREE forks left I had 74,150 Also, @karen68 didn’t mention having a fork left, so I’ll be there were 0 for her too.
@stocktoad I have to admit I wasn’t looking at the forks, I was paying more attention to things like the remaining plants. But I expect you’re right – it would be just like this game to have a utensil make the difference.
Congrats on the Underdog :)
Thanks! I was hoping the puppy picture I am using for my avatar today would bring me an underdog. It is one of our week old miniature dachshunds. I’m still trying to beat your score, but getting that last fork is pretty tough. I did manage 75,010 with one fork left, but higher need to have them gone.
@annach thanks for the summary and the pointers!
Thanks for tips @annach ;-) I am so close!!! I need another 80 points to get my doggy! I noticed I got the hanging shelf with the bricks more often if I tapped more left of the top right pyramid…a bit more towards the mound next to it. I’m gonna take a break and come back.
Congrats on Top Score @karen68 and on ANOTHER doggy!!!
Finally, I beat 75K as well! @amslimfordy – my screenshot http://angrybir.de/18vMbPN
Congrats to @annach, @karen68 and @stocktoad on getting a new puppy! This is one tough level I finally went from 69k to current 74k and working to at least get 75k for tonight’s challenge
@lesleyg – don’t give up just yet kiddo! You are so close and I know you can get the over 75 score tonight!
Thank you @gypsybird for the words of encouragement ;-) Unfortunately I just couldn’t get the measly 80 points I needed for the doggy badge ;-( So close but yet so far away. I see you ended up in the same boat. Oh well, atleast we both improved nicely and moved up on the leaderboard! On to the next, lol ;-)
Congrats @annach, @karen68 and @stocktoad on your well earned Underdog Badges!!!
I know @lesleyg, new challenges bring more chance for another Underdog; Still it is so hard when one is soooo close to getting one. LOL. Just the way it is. I really am pleased that I raised my score and ranking on this level!
Thanks @annach i improved another 1k on my 3rd try with this new and improved mixed and match strat!!! Lol great thinking and nice score!!
Thanks @annach & @karen68 for refining this strat. I was able to improve quite a bit within a few tries. I got my score by clearing out everything except the shelf of bricks. When I did hit the shelf, I got lower scores. I think those plants made up the difference for me.
74240/2
many thx to @annach for details and @odie for the strat.
here my video:
https://youtu.be/ZFn9gCHzDC4
thanks for strat Odie
I received LOTS of help from @stocktoad — he advised me of the strategies from : @annach, @karen68, @odie & @trinit. He was assisting me to receive an underdog badge. He said I needed 74,780 and my screen shot is for 74,870. I think I’m supposed to give email: {removed}. Hope that is correct way to do this.
I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news @dawn-nelson but your score is not sufficiently high for the Underdog badge.
@amslimfordy I realize you have other things to do than fix things that shouldn’t have happened, but let me explain why @dawn-nelson deserves the underdog badge. Dawn didn’t know how to submit an underdog entry, and I explained it to her, BUT she was so excited when she got the required score that she took the screen shot before the bonus birds were added. (it was obvious that she had enough points, as she had 54,790 without the two bonus birds on the screen shot that she had. I told her she needed a different screen shot and she apparently didn’t know that she could use the one she had, or it reset from taking the screen shot. Anyway, as near as I can tell, she thought she needed to get another high score, which ended up exactly the same score and not higher than she needed to get. I can attest to seeing her original score of 54,790 without the two bonus birds. That would end up with a score of 74,790. I can understand if you can’t award the badge under the circumstances, but I truly believe she deserves it.
The score to beat was 74,990 by wRm, was it not?
@amslimfordy I could have sworn the score to beat was 74,780 by WhiteKnight, but now that I look again, I think you are right. I must have missed seeing wRm on the top 50 side of the page and not on the improved side. So… it looks like I told @dawn-nelson the wrong score that she needed to beat. Sorry for the mix-up.
Dont waste your time one this. It was the wrong number. If there is a next time, I know how to do this right. Thanks, Stocktoad!
OK… I tried doing it according the video shown here, but the bird in my version at Level 22 only shoots backwards and never forwards, so it is impossible to get this level. Is this a glitch in the recent version of the game or whats going on? I am ready to quit entirely.
Han will shoot wherever you tap/click on-screen. You are clicking back behind the slingshot, and therefore shooting there. There’s no glitch.
THANK YOU AMslimfordy. I would never have figured that one out! :)
