Our strategy for Angry Birds Space Cosmic Crystals level 7-20 is to send the Lazer bird down the chute of the western planet. The resulting domino effect can destroy the tower next to the chute, but this is actually not ideal. Instead, if that tower remains intact, send the next Lazer bird south of everything. Redirect it through the wooden walls of the far-eastern structure. As the Lazer bird becomes subject to gravity again, it can loop around onto the detonator on the crystallized southern planet, sending TNT into the aforementioned tower. The score in the video below is 129,920.

135k like the video but the first shot also took out the big structure and the TNT rocket for 92k. Second shot to clean up.
Two birds, 140K. Just like the walkthrough, only after the first bird a total destruction of the left side, including the tnt rocket and 97K! I aimed the second bird at the bottom of the wooden construction and well the rest is… a topscore ;-). There is a picture with the score in my album.
@josephine, same here. Thanks
@bernersenn, because comments often help me if I’am stuck, I’am happy to post and try to help others!
I play on the Nexus 4, completely stock Android, and the first shot never behaves like the video, no matter how I direct the Lazer bird, the TNT explodes, but doesn’t manage to push up the two rock balls so the bird from the South of the planet doesn’t get destroyed. On what platforms are you guys playing? So far I only managed a score of 124k+ with luck. Any suggestions? Maybe there is a bug here between platforms. Thanks.
@anpa – I’m on a SIII with JB and am not having that problem. If I can get down that shaft at all the shafts clear out, even if it bounces its way down. Sorry, no help, but that part is working on my flavor of Android.
97.400 after shot 1 and 141,960 final score.
I prefer to shoot the first bird just outside the gravity field, redirect just before bumping into the small planet to strike the wire frame. Reset if you dont pull in the tnt with this shot and get at least 95k.
Love this strat. I could never 3* w/ walkthrough. Always got ~126k. First time w/this one and got 131k and almost got a 1 birder.
One small tweak I made, aim for the corner of the wooden plank to the right of the wireframe box with the X-bracing. That breaks the plank. If you miss it, it falls in the tunnel behind LB, which doesn’t usually break it.
@burpie can you please explain this something more in depth? Or a picture of the first bird + trajectory?
@burpie I figured it out already, so forget this one
@burpie thanks for this strat, I found it worked the best. When I scored 140k I flubbed the shot a bit, the lazer bird didn’t go down the chute but the wooden plank did, sliding down to detonate the TNT.
I wonder which strat the higher-scoring folks are using – I spent quite awhile trying the method of going over the top & taking out the wooden supports like the pics from comex below but never scored more than 136k, there was always too much of the main tower stone remaining.
Thank you @burpie! This strategy seemed to work better than the walkthrough video. Although I didn’t get the amount of debris damage you did, but I’m happy with the 138K score and moving on.
I had so much fun with this one, I made a video!
@sweetp I think this is the first time I’ve heard this level with sound enabled :-)
Heehee, @burpie! After awhile I get annoyed with them so my volume is turned off, but there are some strange sounds in Space!
Well, my AB Space is broken, when i play this shot the TNT destroys the ball in between the 2 metal pieces, and the other ball doesn’t move at all. Tough to defeat the level without that, i’m stuck at 1 star. Annoying thing is, i know the shot worked like the video, i recall it working when i first played. cannot understand why it doesn’t work now :-(
I play on an iPad and it’s doing the same thing to me now @mjr73. I’ve got a decent score from when it worked, but wanted a great score. Did yours ever start working again?
Yeah, it finally started working after i turned the phone off for a while, when i switched it back on again and played AB Space the level ran like clockwork, think i ended up with ~129k. Weird software bug i guess…
@AMslimfordy–Any words of wisdom on the missing balls issue. It’s been two days now. I’ve tried power resets. I had not upgraded anything. It just started for no reason. And it is constant, not occasional. A few of the other levels seem wonky but they are working.
@rat9 I see three pebbles: top of left planet, bottom of left planet, and left on the right planet. Which one(s) don’t seem to work properly? Have you tried zooming out to see if they are hitting debris somewhere outside the atmosphere? Are you firing in the same order as the video (left planet , then the looping shot)?
@AMslimfordy The bottom left pebble explodes when the TNT does. Top of left planet pebble survives but does not move. The pebble on the right planet travels to the left planet when it’s TNT explodes but instead of traveling down the channel, it hits the exterior of the upper pink planet structure and explodes. Everything worked perfectly until three days ago. Now, 100% of the time it doesn’t work. Not a debris issue. I’ve come at it from numerous approaches including the walkthrough. All are unsuccessful. No upgrades or uploads to my I-pad during the interim. It worked fine until it didn’t.
@rat9 Did you try re-installing the AB Space App from App Store?
@AMslimfordy Five days after it quit working, everything is back to normal. I wonder how often this is going to happen. As I said, it affected more than just 7-20. But 7-20 was the most obvious problem. The rest of the app was just wonky. Can’t put an explanation to the other issues, but they are there. I haven’t heard a lot of people talking about this problem, but unless they play 7-20 and know what’s suppose to happen, they might not be noticing it.
It’s okay if the tower next the chute falls on the first shot, you can still throw the second shot like video and score well.
1st bird:
Throw around the western hemisphere of the big planet. Redirect LB through wooden stilts by building. This should destroy the building and the wire rocket.
2nd bird:
Like walkthrough. The TNT will throw the stone into the gems and TNT at center of planet. Score: 136050. Very repeatable.
Nice approach @SpaceMaster
This strategy gives consistent scores of 135-136K :)
@Spacemaster — Thanks! Got to 136600 using your strat.
For those using the walkthrough, there’s 2 things you can do to hit that first shaft and ensure the structure doesn’t collapse.
1. Fire slow, to give time to aim
2. Aim for the third wood plank from space, far left side. Try to approach it from the right a bit, so you’re flying a bit past perpendicular to the shaft, then aiming for the left corner of that wood plank. This seems to disperse enough energy/momentum/karma/whatever to leave the structure standing 100% of the time (for me anyway, YMMV.)
It would seem that the level is constructed around the thought that the strategy described by @spacemaster is the one we’re “supposed” to use.
The TNT/pebble combination on the eastern “planet” would indicate this, since it’s aimed straight for the “chute” on the western “planet”.
first bird break the wood on top on left asteroid over the tnt like picture. https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/comex666/album/picture/10753/
second bird like video, break the wood in the middle, on right asteroid, see the picture https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/comex666/album/picture/10754/
good luck
Thank you for this awesome strat, @comex666! I didn’t quite get enough debris damage as you did, but still happy that I just squeaked by the average score.
I also highlighted this as an alternate strategy (light blue) for you. :)
@sweetp
nice video, great, many thx. better than pictures
here a video with 137k:

Omg – my first puppy!!! What do I do? I’ve never had to try submitting a photo before. @admins?
Ok – I uploaded a pic to my album. Do I also need to place the link here and, if so, which of the four options do I choose? Thank you!
Congrats on score and your first puppy @maiasatara! The easiest way to put the image here is to copy and paste the “Direct Link”. Also, for winning the puppy, please describe the strategy you used to get the 143k. Great flinging!
Congrats on #1 @maiasatara :) Below are some detailed instructions on how to do what@gypsybird said, and instructions on making the pic publicly visible. If it’s in your album right now, it’s set to private. Nobody can see it but you.
Step 1: To get the direct link, click here to go to your album. Find the pic thumbnail and click on it. It will open the full-size version. Beneath the pic are four text boxes with links in them. Tap on the link nest to Direct Link, which should select it. Copy it however you copy text on your device. Then post here. Include the strategy you used, and paste the link you just copied.
Step 2: Now go back to your album and click on the pic thumbnail again. A bit below the bottom right of the full-size picture will be anEdit Picture button. Click that. Now scroll down and find where it says Visibility. There will be some round buttons beneath that. Tap Public, scroll down and click Save. That’s all there is to it! :)
@kelani. Actually I saw the pic that @maiasatara first posted. Must have put it as visible to friend list only which would be why you couldn’t see it if you aren’t connected as friends.
I never do the visible to Public. I use the visible to Registered Members for images in my album. I figure that might motivate “visitors” to ABN to register for actual membership if they really want to see trajectory and damage pics on levels. :-).
@gypsybird Maia and I are friends, so I assumed it was private. Also, I really like your thinking on ‘registered members only’. I think I’ll follow your example from now on. Manipulating the innocent little visitors doesn’t make us terrible people…right? ;)
Ok @kelani. I assumed that since you said you couldn’t see the first image that @maiasatara posted. Hmmm…Maybe a glitch then? Naw – We’re not terrible people, just encouraging more active participation in nudging (OK manipulating) more people to just register and join in for real (rather than just lurk). ;-)
Congrats on a great score @maiasatara but to get your puppy you must submit the link to your picture and say what your strategy was.
Woot @maiasatara! I’m looking forward to awarding this once the conditions are met. Congrats! @mumsie42 Just let me know.
Congratulations on your first puppy @Maiasatara ~ very well deserved for an outstanding high score that may hold up for a long time!
Nice shooting @maiasatara! Just curious, which strategy did you use for that great score? I can use the help! :)
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/maiasatara/album/picture/10764/
Let’s try this again. Here’s the pic I uploaded to my album twice now to prove the puppy score. As for strategy, only the small adjustment suggested by @burpie. I didn’t put the bird in the gravitational field but rather outside it. Aimed directly at the small lower right planet (asteroid thing?) and right before impact I aimed at the wire cage (with the X in it.) That got rid of everything except the far right pig. I sent second bird just like video – through the far right pig and around to the TNT switch.
Good luck all! I’d like to keep a #1 for a while but puppy away (just below me.) : )
Thanks for all the kind words. I double checked the visibility is set to Public. Don’t know what happened to the first pic but I’ve clicked back and forth on this link five times now so if it’s not working again someone please let me know!
@maiasatara The pic looks fine to me. Congrats on Puppy #1! It’s long overdue. :)
@maiasatara, Congrats on your very 1st puppy…it’s so exciting, isn’t it? I noticed it this morning & was waiting to see your strategy before posting. That’s some might fine shooting, especially as I see you’re on an iPhone. I’m on an iPad & just can’t get the stone debris on the upper left planet to crumble with these 2 shots, any suggestions? I’m getting the debris destruction if I shoot similar to @comex666, but am stuck on 138k :-(
I’ll make sure I thank everyone but want to say to @justpast40 i feel your pain with the debris issue, especially on iPhones and iPads! I can say that three separate explosions occurred with the two shots. The first from down the tunnel and almost all that comes with that first shot. There was some debris left above where the wire X cage sat so when the floating TNT between the two planets drifted left, I had a particularly goo explosion that sent things very high so whatever sits up there (out of my screen vision) was hit and came down. Then the third explosion came from within right planet when I hit the switch. Not much to clean up at that point but for some planks of wood. I think the biggest difference was that center TNT didn’t get hit immediately by anything with the first shot. Hope that helps!
Well thank you @maiasatara …. for what you may say ….
Your reference to feeling my pain regarding the “debris issue” on iPhones & iPads sent me running back to my Android phone which is my listed platform/device as I didn’t get my iPad until 6 months after joining ABN. Lo & behold less than a dozen flings later I managed 138720 & back into the Top 50 it was : -)
I have always believed there’s an ever-so-slight difference between platforms & devices, so whether or not it’s all just in my head, who knows …… ????
@justpast40 It’s definitely not in your head. I’m releasing a big project soon which proves it. It’ll hopefully explain all of those little differences, and all the levels they hide in. Check your friends requests and I’ll explain a bit more. I also have a question for ya :)
@kelani, since getting my iPad about 21 mo ago, (actually 18 mo, not 6 after joining ABN) I know I’ve noticed differences between platforms & not just in the resolution or what I am able to see on the screen. Every several months I think one of my comments references this belief & I know I’m not alone, so it will be very interesting to read your project when released & friendship accepted …. hope I can answer your question.
140k/2 enough for 3rd spot anyway. Video and BlueStacks Tap Spots on my YouTube channel. Same as the walkthrough but slightly more refined! The first bird needs to score over 100k.
Make that 4th!
