Angry Birds Space Cold Cuts Level 2-7 Walkthrough

One strategy for Cold Cuts level 2-7 is to send the Ice bird through the wooden portion of the second pillar, freezing as far to the right as possible. Send the Blue bird through the frozen blocks, leaving at most a pig or two on the right side. Snipe them with the Red bird.

Easy two-birds strategy, for 90K+ score:
Aim first bird through the second triangle from the left, into the horizontal wooden plank in the middle of the tall structure. If you hit it right, it will give the structure a nudge, making the top part of it falling to the left and clearing the left side (the small pig on the bottom left might survive, which makes the second shot a bit more difficult).
Second bird easily cleans the right part.
Good luck.

Got 99k during today’s challenge, but I could have gotten top score with a successful 1st shot and the fluky 2nd shot that I describe below.

1st shot as @dodkaleh describes. Even if you perform exactly the same shot from one attempt to the other (tested on a PC without mouse), the odds that you get a collapse are not guaranteed, however there are sweet spots that increase the odds that it happens (success rate of, say 25-30% after fine tuning). A very good 1st shot gets rids of all pigs except the rightmost, big one and can clear most of the debris on the left, including, when very lucky, the snow pig head to the left. The best I have gotten so far was 71k with one pig left, but I also got 61k with three pigs left. I think that on a perfect day, one can get 73k if only one pig left.

Now, the 2nd shot. If you got a very clear 1st shot, then, there is not much to destroy in addition of surviving lone pig to the right, but it is obvious that if you can hit the snow slope on the left of this pig from below, then you can create an avalanche an get quite a lot of points. This is easy to do if you spend a 3rd bird (send it in the middle of the slope to the right of the pig, let it bounce on the big snow part to the left, and that’s it), however, I was never able to do this with BB (not enough momentum?). Rather, I got a lucky fluke when I sent the BB along same trajectory as 1st shot and split soon before the place where the two small pigs to the right lie (for this attempt, they were still around with at least one wooden debris). The lower two birdlets hit some debris and stayed on top of the snow slope after getting rid of the pigs there, whereas the upper birdlet went above big pig and hit the small snowball on which the rightmost snow pig head rests on. The birdlet remained stuck on the remaining snow (contrarily to the usual outcome where it rolls down to the left toward the pig), and the snow pig head flew to the left, crashed once on the real pig without killing it, then bounced again to the left and crashed on the bottom of the snow slope, causing an avalanche destroying more or less everything on this side. This was made possible, I think, because no birdlet went down in the valley where the big pig lies so that snow head could bounce on pig without killing it (this is the fluky part of the shot).

My bet is that if you succeed to do such a shot after a 71k+ 1st shot, then puppy will be yours.

Wow, thanks @sglouk, that’s some serious detail! A few times. I’ve gotten the first bird to break both the horizontal plank and the triangular piece of wood and fall into the sweet spot, allowing the tallest part of the structure to fall left. However, it almost never takes out the left in a full sweep (leaves leftmost tiny pig buried in non-snow debris) and has NEVER taken out anything on the right (for me.) As for the @e-star and your suggestion to send little red through the bottom of the snow – that works very well – when there’s NO wood or stone blocking the slope. I have had luck one time getting the left cleared with bird 1 and getting the birdlets (love that, btw) to take out the right side pigs (but not all snow) and that was for my current 92k. I was just barely above average coming in so this 4k improvement is welcome but I’ll keep trying. I don’t expect two puppies in a row but a top 25 here would leave me happy! Congrats on your score!

I got mine with 2 birds very similar to what Dodkaleh describes. I hit first bird thru the second triangle which landed on pig and popped it and broke wooden plank and wooden triangle causing bird to slide all the way down and cleared out alot of the snow at bottom, top part fell left like Dodkaleh describes which clears out alot of left side, the little piggy at the bottom left survived so I had to send second bird with a long trajectory but had to split early so it got that first little piggy and the rest went on to take out the right.

I thought I had a good discovery so I came to share. The good news is everyone already knew about it. So I will share with you the right spot to hit that Dodkaleh refers to. I will call it an “Ice Mountain,” because it looks like a mountain made of ice with snow on top. If you hit the ice mountain at the point where the ice and snow meet, you have about a 30% chance of getting rid of a lot of the stuff next to the tallest tower. This leaves the tallest structure with nothing holding it back from falling to the left. If you don’t get it right away, adjust your aim just a hair and it’s one of those avalanche sort of effects. It’s really neat to watch everything slide down the hill. This strat nabbed me the #6 spot, so I am pleased with the results.

I think the best first shot is right in the middle of the triangle. The best results happen when the ice bird breaks the wooded triangle and drops all the way down through the snow. Of course this doesn’t happen very often, but you can end up with just the big pig on the right side left. I don’t know which shot is best for the second when you have good results with the first, but those 3 blue snowballs are pretty tough to handle with the BB. I did a higher shot so the snow pig came down and took care of the real pig.

Same objective to break through the wooded triangle and drop Ice Bird into the snow under the tall tower ~ but using a different trajectory:

Using greatly reduced power so as not to send Ice Bird out into space, use a high lob to the edge of the gravitational field (you can even go slightly outside the field). The aiming point (without hitting anything else first) is the middle of the wooden triangle adjacent to the snowball pile under the tall tower.

~ Good Luck ~

This is indeed a midly boring level. Launch bird, wait, and reset as long as you are not satisfied with destruction after first shot. 2nd shot is, in my opinion, useless in the sense that good destruction after 1st shot may give you only 2k more plus last pig. There may be a trick to get more, but I did not find anything giving consistent results without risks of failing it completely (i.e., not kiling rightmost pig).

Here is a video of my top score run:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5xV3g-3r2c
I got an almost complete destruction of left side, a very, very unusual sighting (75k!!). I even thought that the snow piggy head would be destroyed, but it did not happen, although I was probably very close. I did not take any risk for 2nd shot and followed the exact same trajectory, which one can do if no debris on the way. I did not get the avalanche I described a few comments above during challenge, but in case it is possible to get it at a reasonable rate, then 104k might be at reach. However, my current mastery of this level makes such a perfect two shot combination more than very unlikely.
