Our strategy for Angry Birds Angry Birds Space Beak Impact level 8-8 to send the Laser Bird below the bottom right planet, and redirect him on the right boulder. This should trigger the gas container and clear the main structure. Then fling the Red bird directly into the first structure. The strategy shown yields a score of 64,580.

A 1-bird strategy is to to send the Laser Bird directly towards the 1st Gas Container (aim for the middle of the can) If done correctly , Debris will fly to the other container and hit it , unleashing the gas. Got 85640 this way.
@tinostar11 good alternate strat thanks for sharing :)
Have you posted your scores on the leaderboards you should it’s good fun:)
Yes, that’s the way I got 89k, too. Top score for now, won’t last!
Great strat! Thank you
@tinostar11 @sliverbird — Did you activate the laser bird? Got 88K without activation.
Yeah , but I learned also you don’t need to. The Laser Bird’s Power is to help push the can.
Sometimes I do activate the laser bird, to get an angle on the shot, but can’t say it really matters.
I think it does matter. My besy scores came from aiming to the right then redirecting directly into canister.
TY @tinostar11 used your method for 88k
Thanks @tinostar11 ~ used your strategy to increase my score.
worked good
I fired the laser bird above the first asteroid and down into the asteroid so it made contact with the top of the gas container. If the boulder hits the gas container on the outside it will turn right as it fires and eventually debris will ignite the second container. The one-bird early high score won’t last long as most of the asteroids were left on this attempt, so lost of debris points remaining.
@abeggertoo Very nice score. Do you remember how often were you able to get that 2nd canister to blow? I’ve tried this at least a hundred times, making the asteroid hit the canister at various spots, but the contraption just spins in the center of the level, not seeing any real motion or debris heading over to the 2nd canister.
Just tries about 20!times and was able to get the second canister to go off twice. Hitting the asteroid on the near side (to the slingshot) so it rolls down onto the first canister worked best. On both occasions it was the asteroid which rode the first canister that ignited the second. Hope this helps.
My approach is the same as @ABeggerToo. Shoot Laser Bird high above the left boulder and activate when he is in line with the center of the canister. Redirect laser bird to hit the left center of the large boulder mass. You want the mass to spin counter clockwise as it hits the canister leaving the pig bubble intact. The gas canister will activate carrying the boulder to mass destruction. One birder.
Thanks @abeggertoo @rat9
Another question. . When you say ‘high above’do you mean straight up then down or over to the west and then back?when i go high up straight it doesn’t seem to have nough oomph to set off the canister when i go west the canister just goes in a circle? /
I sent laser-bird at about 2:00 (the video sends him/her? at 4:00). It has to be directly above the bolder when directed down to get the correct spin into the canister. Hope this helps.
I agree with @ABeggertoo @Kathy.
It is after all, his strategy. Thanks ABET
Thanks @abeggertoo and @rat9 I’ll keep flinging:) I guess i was aiming to high:/
Well I give up; ( one more little wwhiiinnee and one more try then i guess ill move on and come back again another day:(
@abeggertoo thanks for the strat. Worked finally after many, many retries
Finally !! @abeggertoo Yay!! Thank you again I finally got it :)
I am glad you were able to get it @bernersenn and @kathy. It was a tough level – shoot, wait, repeat – until finally getting the break. Hope this isn’t a daily challenge level any time soon.
I like to to bounce YB off the top of the 1st canister and through the chain with the anchor. With the contraption untethered, more debris falls onto the planet, and with more speed. It is a pretty difficult shot, though.
I have not had any success with the @abeggertoo strategy in over a week of trying, the second canister just won’t fire up. Have been close, sucked and held breath (like that helps) then – PFFFT nothing.
Swear, click, reset is what life is all about at the moment. Am I going to move on- absolutely NOT, not until I’ve cracked the 90k ceiling. 88k is the best I can do hammering into canister one and getting the debris to ignite number two so, even though it’s a really reliable result, I want that 90k+, so off to abeggertoo’s strategy and frustration level +++ once more for me.
Wish me luck, I need it.
I’m with you @redzym! I just cannot get that second canister to ignite, no matter how many times I’ve sent Space Chuck head-on into that boulder! Which, of course does not spin counter-clockwise even a 1/4 turn. This is my mini whhiinneee, and hoping somehow the AB Goddess will be kind and @abeggertoo‘s strategy finally works for you and me!
FWIW, Whenever someone posts a strategy that I can’t replicate after 100-200 attempts, I start changing things, assuming there’s some angle or positioning trick that didn’t get mentioned. If that fails, I give up. I never got this one to work. :/
Hahaha @SweetP and @kelani, at least I’m not the only one in this time warp. Whatever induced me to choose this level to be obstinate about I’ll never know, stupid really!
@redzym, I think we’re obstinate AND obsessed, or maybe a bit possessed, too! @kelani you’re more tenacious than I am and refuse to give up. So look out you mean, s**t-eatin-grin, snickering piggies, we’ll be baacck to cook your bacon! Muuahahaaa!
It’s definitely one of those, ‘finally got it, now I never want to go back’ strats. From memory, the asteroid has a distinctive roll as it makes it way down – you almost sense you got it right – then hope for the proper outcome. Knowing you need the asteroid to come down and get pushed by the canister gives you a sense of the aiming point. Good luck. I’ve conceded top score and haven’t really thought about trying again, for now.
FYI @SweetP, I’ve managed to get the canister to push the asteroid several times to no avail. Finally the second canister even ignited but the score was a paltry 75k, it was devastating after all this time
Just have to admit to being outsmarted (for now) by the level and move on before I do something stupid or my blood pressure explodes (whichever comes first). Not giving up though, play a couple shots elsewhere to relieve the frustration then back here.
@abeggertoo, had that ‘feeling’ of success each time the asteroid was picked up especially when the second canister ignited only to have pesky little pigs outsmart me yet again. Thanks for the tips though at least we know to reset immediately if asteroid isn’t picked up. Cheers :)
Gaaah! @redzym, the same here, never enough momentum for the boulder to push through to get the second canister to ignite. Hah, most of the time it just pushes against the two round boulders, or rolls off the back of the first canister and floats away then into the upper planet’s gravity field! Sooo frustrating! I’ve moved onto other levels for now, but I’ll be back!
BTW @ABeggerToo, I’m aiming at the bright star in the gravity field above. is that the right angle? then redirecting Chuck at the left side of the boulder.
My question is more general. What I’d like to know is if this boulder is supposed to hit the satellite dish and wood on the canister craft, or miss it.
@Rat9 Whenever you get a minute, could you clarify two things on this?
1. My question in my previous post. :)
2. Where does Chuck travel after he hits the boulder? There’s so many variables here, I think this’d be the easiest way to find the right approach angle.
If I can ever get this to work, I’ll post a helpful screenshot.
I shot high up towards the gravity field on the upper left planet @Kelani. Then hit the left side of the boulder group. It spins and destroys the satellite dish but leaves the wood.(I think?) Chuck flies off to the left and does nothing productive. His purpose has been served.
Here’s an easy 1birder shot with a 60-70% success rate for igniting the 2nd canister: Aiming For 92k+ 1birder.
I’m not claiming a new strategy here. This shot may be exactly what @rat9 and @abeggartoo described, but their descriptions are different enough that I think they may have used different shots. Hopefully this screenshot will answer all the questions, and give those two a break :)
Oops, I typoed @abeggertoo and forgot a few things in above post.
In the screenshot, there is a neon green cross where you click to redirect Chuck. It’s tiny, and easy to miss, but that is THE spot.
Second, the method I used to fine-tune my aim was to look at where Chuck flew after impact. Look at the planetoid with the sling, and find the huge crater on the Northeast side. Immediately to its right (about 2:30) is a tiny flat spot, then a pebble. If your aim is correct, Chuck will bounce off the asteroid and hit that flat spot.
Thanks for the visual @Kelani. A picture is worth a thousand words.
@kelani, your angle is definitely higher than mine was, but that is the precise point of impact on the asteroid. Definitely a distinct (and higher scoring) strat. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to @abeggertoo and @rat9
I also had same difficulties and gave up this strat when tried @Kelani flying road before because it was too difficult to hit the edge of the stone. However I found more easy way.
I feel this way can help @redzym, @sweetp, and the other flingers.
Fling Chuck to 2 PM then redirect him to “-90~-95” degree toward the stone. You need to hit “/” slope around 1/4 point, rather than the edge. Once for 10 tries to touch 2nd canister
Here is the screenshot.

thanks @kelani your image helped a lot, I aimed a little higher then tapped on the center of the planet below and to the left of the space walker
Replaying Space on a new device. I followed @kelani ‘s strat exactly, including the launch angle of laser bird and activation point at that corner on the asteroid. Ended up with an unexpected top score. Could not get a screenshot before the level timed out, but I did get the tally screen. In addition to the pigs and their apparatuses crashing into the top planet, both of the clumpy asteroids (the one initially struck and the one next to the claw of the bottom pig) circled around and crashed into the bottom planet.

Came here looking for a wormhole and got a self destructing level. No-one else has mentioned it as far as I can see. I assumed that this was normal and didn’t try anything clever so may have missed a big chance. 88k. Never found the wormhole.
@desperate-dan How long did you need to wait for the self-destruct? I’ve been trying to get above average on this for a while now and haven’t seen it.
Not sure I am afraid, @jtb, maybe it was my error, perhaps I flung a bird without noticing.
