Angry Birds Seasons Winter Wonderham level 1-6 was first available on Thursday, December 6th, 2012. Fling the first Orange below the first structure, through the wooden block. This should detonate the tnt box and clear the left side of the level. Then aim the second bird towards the rightmost tnt to clear the level.
Bonus! Our Winter Wonderham level 1-6 Mighty Eagle walkthrough is live as well!
Alternatively, there is a one-bird solution. Send Orange below the first structure on the ice surface, and trigger slightly before reaching the vertical stone block. With a little bit of luck, debris can trigger both tnts, clearing the level. The score in the video below is 152,070.
First bird through two bottom wooden planks of first tower.
Second through snow holding middle pig and expand near tnt.
140400
Great strategy, I got 142,860 this way. Did get a one birder by flinging high and onto the snow and exploding at base but only yielded 127,400 this way.
Replicated @neptunepluto one-birder through right snow triangle, but only 126,430 points. If left structure doesn’t fall, high lob second bird into large pig space at left will get 3-stars: 132,120
Best strategy, but [click] explode at lower middle wood block to obliterate left structure.
Two Bird – 3 stars: 141,080
I’ll have to keep trying this strategy. I got a one birder going through the two bottom planks on first tower, but only 130,200. The 1st TNT was thrown to the right exploding both.
It’s also possible to 1-bird by going through the snow blocks and inflate just between the two TNTs. Only 120 k though.
Thanks, got 143,290 with this method. Pretty straight forward. Activate first bird before he gets to far to the right, activate second bird right after he plows through the snow – just in front of e TNT.
After many, many tries, I just got a one birder for the second time this time taking out most everything for 145,660. I think I’ll quit there.
Correct, used same strat, 138k for now
92 K after first bird with this strat, 137 after second bird. So keep trying! Good luck to everyone
Thanks had 3* though improved to 140470 using this method.
Has this high scoring strategy disappeared after updates? I go back to all christmas releases every year to try improving scores. I can’t even get this to WORK let alone with a score over 150. Starting under but using two birds only gets me 130-133k. My high score of 138 I got lobbing high through the verticals wood on left and cleaning up the right. Bored stiff trying to get both TNT to explode.
133-134k strat
1st Bird- To the bottom of the left tower so that it slides and destroys the firsr tower.
2nd Bird- High arc or head on to the right tower.
Did this sliding under method – at the middle wood post – expand. One bird this way 3* a score of 135530.
Also I have noticed that if you go through the TNT and explode OB from the backside it makes debris fly out too.
I reversed the shots as that seems to yield more destruction, just make sure that the score after the first shot is +50k. If not, restart.
used the same strat, got me 137k
first through the small wood and the bottom of the first tower and then the second through the cloud and then explode. 140460
Got 138,000 with one bird, high arc, through snow in the middle, expanded and got both TNT to explode!
1st through snow expanding when near the horizontal plank at the bottom of far tower.
2nd high crashing through plank expanding on pig with helmet.
136870 3 stars
Easy. 137.920 like others, nice slide to the end of under tunnel. Next crash snow bricks with pig over it end explode TNT.
138800 using this strat. Thanks @bird-tester! :)
Got 3* came here to post strat – you’d all beaten me to it ! 141300 same strat as Bird Tester
This level annoyed me this morning – I’ve only just managed to get 3*.
I tried to slide the first bird under the left towers for ages eventually deciding it couldn’t be done – and just lobbed the birds at the structure and detonated them for something like 133k.
I’ll have to see if I can get the shot to work a bit later though as my 133k random method was a fluke!
Once you find the right aim it’s not a hard shot to slide under. I get it almost 50% of the time when I aim carefully.
@twiki, it can be annoying at first. I use the star behind, lining up the birds tail. At least it gives you a reference point to adjust your aim. Its odd but once you have done it a couple of times it feels like it is a natural shot. Good luck
This level may be straightforward, but it isn’t so easy to earn high scores. I finally reached 143k with the same strategy everyone else is using, but let me clarify a couple of points.
I’m not precisely sure what the ideal inflation point is for the first bird, but I think it’s right around the middle, where the second thick wooden block is and where the two horizontal stone planks meet. I’ve had up to 85k after this shot with all four of the rightmost pigs still surviving, and I think it can go higher.
More importantly, on the second bird, you want to send the bird pretty much as low as possible so that it just nicks the snowblock on which the pig sits. This will allow the bird to pass cleanly through the wooden box with the TNT. It should then fall perfectly in between the stones, so let it inflate on its own. The debris in the “nook,” which is left mostly undamaged with other methods, is sent sliding leftward with this method, causing a fair amount of it to fall into the hole, destroying it along with a few extra broken pieces that have likely fallen into the hole with the first shot.
I feel quite certain that this is the optimal version of the two-bird strategy that’s in vogue so far, so unless someone comes up with a totally different approach, I believe that this is the best way to go. I don’t know about 150k, but I think 147k is possible this way.
That’s the same conclusion I came to. The target score after the first bird should be at least 83k with four surviving pigs. I think 150k is realistic, I still had a reasonable amount of debris left at 142k.
We now see that 152 is very realistic – quite a target to shoot for…
@Foxy-lady — Wow! Congrats on high score, although I am hoping it’s a typo, since it’s 7K more than Sal’s 152, which is beyond most peoples ability as is. If not a typo, please tell us how you did it; must be entirely different method.
Should be @foxylady24
It’s not too much to ask for a screen shot of that score is it @amslimfordy?
One more comment: I agree that inflating the first bird somewhere close to the middle generally gives best results. However sometimes when you let it slide all the way the TNT explosion and the inflation work together to throw everything pretty violently to the left off the platform. This can more or less clean the entire left side of debris (with a lot of luck).
I eventually managed 145k this way.
More is possible I am sure, as I have had 85k+ after the first bird withe the right structure pretty much intact and 4 pigs remaining. Just kept fluffing the 2nd shot!
An alternative strategy for those who just cannot get the first bird in and under is to high arc on to the helmet pig. The scores aren’t as high, but it should get you 3 stars if you manage the 2nd bird as above.
@austinrhl – how about 121,000 after first shot with just one pig and some white blocks left which were barely holding up the little squealer? Second shot was right under the white blocks, expanding on impact, for a total of 147,160. There were three white blocks left in the pit below… And that’s about it. Second bird cleared all debris remaining on far right, too. On first bird, I’m pretty sure I tapped just as Orange reached the end of the tunnel. Very surprising. At first, I was upset that I didn’t get that last pig on first shot but I’m guessing the 5K + whatever for the white blocks surrounding it would have given me a one birder for approx. same score, maybe 148K. Thanks for sharing, and I hope this helps. Aloha.
yes it does surfcow, your words always do! i believe there are a lot of points in the snow!
Your strategy got me 92K after the first shot,(thanks!) but the second shot seems to be so unreliable each time. Sometimes it nets lots of points and of course the time I got 92K on the first shot, I only got 20K more on the next one.
Is it just me, or are the levels of Winter Wonderham hard to replicate? They don’t feel like “gifts” to me. I feel like I’m lucky to get a high score and then I can’t replicate the score or much higher on any of the levels. That said, this is my fav level so far, b/c of all the stuff blowing up.
@mars805 I meant that for @surfcow, but it was in keeping with your thoughts!
understood OldDog, no problem!
Used 2 birds for 147k, I let the TNT slide all the way to the end & inflate on its own, 83k after 1st shot. Used austin’s tip for the 2nd shot, got the OB through the TNT into that pocket & debris got sent left & right when it inflated. It cleared almost everything, only 3 stone blocks left sitting there.
I did clear this with 1 bird a few times but always with lower scores. Nothing like sal’s 1-birder, I think that deserves nomination for shot of the year.
Thanks for the extremely detailed strategy @austinrhl! It took a while to get the level going as you said, but I understood every detail and got a 142k score. Could be very well improved seeing others amazing scores at ABN ;)
@austinrhl im assuming your first shot was like the video, undedr the first structure?
i can’t know how i got the score i have..but i haven’t been able to come close, not sure what I’m doing wrong ..if anyone has the ‘L’ factor please share:(
Official WWWwwwhhhhhhhiiiiiiinnnnnnneeeee!!
@kathy, yes, the first shot was under the first structure. This is a very finicky level that requires a lot of luck with the breakage of debris, and you probably aren’t doing anything wrong per se. But I definitely find that if I spend too long on one level without taking a break, I keep repeating identical shots that always give more or less the same mediocre scores. Often, if I come back to a level a few hours later or the next day, I’ll almost immediately beat my old high score. Returning with “fresh flinging fingers,” I guess you could call it! I think that’s about the only help I can offer. I’m crossing my fingers that it will work for you, too.
@austinrhl ty for the reply..good advice,it seems i get one shot perfect and the other wrong.i don’t usually compete in lotd,so maybe its the pressure of the time limit thanks for the strategy ;) great score btw;)
I played this level on phone and got score of 139990 using same strategy @zwizdan007 described. I expand OB just below TNT. Next OB right through snoe expand at tNT box.
After opening level this morning on iPad I use an other strategy which didn’t get me nice score (it is only at 133k). I shot ob in high arc through snow blocks holding pig and activate between two TNT boxes, it is one bird solution but unfortunatelly not enough damage.
Now I am at office and could secretly play on phone, I can’t wait to try improve my iPad score.
144550 with the 2bird slide and skim under the snow method. i let the 1st bird slide as far as possible, score is widely variable there. i reset unless i got into the 80s on that first bird. thanks to AustinRHL ! for the idea of going under the snow. more points that way than high arc theu top of snow. had a 1 birder that way but not the points.
got 145,210 with 2 birds
1. Orange Bird goes through the two left side wood blocks and slides on the ice under the left structure to the stone as zwizdan007,iammightyand mars805 describe. Activate naturally. Scores ranges from 80k-105k.
2. Orange Bird into the snow blocks as austinrhl described.
I also thank all the others who have posted above prior to the video to help me improve and obtain a better score of 144,040.
I keep getting side tracked ,i have been meaning to say Congrats on the Gold Flinger @wrw01 WTG mate ,:)
And ty ppl for the strats ,i have some work to do ,im still in the 130,s
Thanks @xebic88 for the mention. It has been tons of fun getting there. I had some extra time this AM so thought to try my hand (finger really) at these new levels. They are great. Got lucky on this one. A boat-load of flinging wisdom by others that helped me obtain the score. Good luck to you!
thanks for the mention wrw01! i,ve not yet been able to raise my score, i,d love to see 105 after the 1st bird, nothin more than 86 so far and choked each time i got that ; (
148,940 with one bird. Same strategy as everyone else, but everything fell apart with only the first shot.
Awesome… I to am working on that…came close but have yet to do it!!
It’s possible with some luck. Check the walkthrough.
I would hesitate to call it a 1-bird “solution”. More like a one-in-a-thousand shot. After having played all day I’ve managed to take down the right structure twice but never the top middle pig at the same time.
I’ve managed to clear this level with one bird three different ways. I’ll also add that it doesn’t always yield a highscore, and involves some luck:
1- As shown in video: below left structure
2- Straight shot, just above small stone on left tower. The bird should hit the junction of diagonal plank – horizontal stone (middle tower) and drop on helmet pig. Let the bird inflate on its own.
3- High lob over the first two towers aiming for the double vertical wood blocks on the right tower.
Yes, I’ve 1-birded it too a few times but never with the method in the video.
Sal9,
You’re driving me nuts. The entire day trying to copy you shot but until now…
Great shot anyway, congratulations!
It does remember me to the christmas game last year where the boys of Rovio build in some sweet spots.
Congrats, @sal9. I’ve (only ONCE) managed to detonate both TNT for 125k+ with your strat but left a single small PESKY pig behind. So yes, 150k+ is defo possible (with quite some debris left). I think it was one of those previously encased in hollowed square stone blocks. It was just LYING there on the ground to the right of the slingshot platform, with black eyes, without its “protective gear”!! Among the stone blocks!! You’re right about the amount of luck involved in this and i suppose i haven’t had that much so far. Well, something else had it in abundance. The PIG!!
Wow @sal9, you got the high score on video!!! Well done :-)
@sal9 Great video and great score, I’m trying your firstn method , the video way, and I realize it’s been a looong time but do you possibly remember if you let the bird inflate in his own¿ the vidroy seems like you did, and it might not really matter just checking? I am going to try the other methods but this one seems to score the most points If i could get it to work that is lol The 3 P’s are necessary on this one, no whining yet lol;)
Thanks for all your help:)
@kathy The answer is a few comments below:

@sal9 great score! I had been trying this, but thought it wasn’t possible. I had tried the high lobbing method, as well, but couldn’t get the timing right. Now, I have to keep at it :). Awesome flinging!
@wanda, that’s my christmas gift to you guys haha … let’s see how long that will last.
cc: @mvnla2
Thanks, @sal9 :). I’m getting closer to the one bird solution, but the right tnt just bounces a bit and settles down again. At least I am above average(for now).
Thanks for the gift @Sal9 — Will have to try some more later today. Not even up to average yet. : (
bravo ClaPerrone! with the bird sliding in that limited & small space its got to be the pixel of entry & the random chaos that follows that affects the #s. you hit the jackpot!
What is the difference between video 1 and 2? Is there a later or earlier triggering of Orange?
In the first option, orange inflates on its own. The second is triggered.
thanks @sal9
@sal9, Hello my friend, you know, I keep viewing both videos and it seems to me as if it’s the other way around, I say this because in the second video (the high scoring one made by you) there’s a momentary lapse between the time Orange stops and then inflates as if on its own.
Thanks @sal9 ?
Gee whiz…I played this level all morning as soon as I woke up and thought I was brilliant for shooting below the first structure and getting 136k plus…hahahaha. Of course I know there are nesters who are absolutely supreme with this game. My highest 1-bird fling was only 132k so far. I’ll have to go back and keep detonating sooner to go for higher. Love this Winter Wonderham for Season 3 though! These levels are beautiful and so much fun!
1 bird = 151580
It’s taken me all day to do it – but 1st shot as everyone else – under the left towers and let it self detonate.
The left TNT got launched into the right tower which then detonated the right TNT too – taking everything out.
The very top pig then slowly rolled off his perch and died!
I reckon every 200 attempts either the top pig goes with the 1st shot or the right tower goes – so felt sure there was a fluke that got both the top pig and the right tower to pop.
So essentially – just a very boring day at work and a lot of luck!
EDIT: Doh! Just seen it’s been done before in the updated walk-through video!
By my count, if you score above 150 you should be awarded a feather automaticaly ;) 148560
The funny thing about this level, is that the 1-Birder is a very distinct, but somewhat elusive possibility, not impossible, as evidenced by all the high scores viewed here, but nonetheless, elusive.
Every one birder is relatively elusive . . . if they were easy everyone would get them and there’d be no distinction in scores.
@playdbird, I tend to disagree with you, there are 1-Birders that are completely obvious, then there are others that manifest themselves as you’re playing, and yet others that are hiding in plain sight, therefore there are clear distinctions between 1-Birders, and as far as the difficult ones are concerned, well, let’s just say that the human mind is curious by nature.
I just did a high scoring 2-Birder and I think I achieved it by letting the second bird drop down and inflate on its own after initial impact, thereby taking all the bottom debris as well.
Hey everyone
148k with two birds…still going for 150k with the one birder!
Hello Chris and welcome to ABN, please be kind enough to observe our Rules and Regulations by not posting scores on the walkthrough comment pages, we have Leaderboards for that purpose.
Thank you.
Where is that mate
Look for the Leaderboards on the opening page of this site, There are Leaderboards for every edition of Angry Birds available, just make sure to enter all your scores, (not just the high ones) regardless of whether they’re 3 starred or not, if you should need further assistance, I’ll contact one of the Admins. for you his Username is @AMslimfordy and he’ll make sure that everything’s on the up and up.
Hmmm that’s gonna take me donkeys….but I love this schnizzle!
LOL: @AMslimfordy says “with a little bit of luck”.
If you watch the video in slow-mo, what breaks the right structure is the inflating bird “cracking” the horizontal stick at the bottom of the pile.
Milliseconds make all the difference. I was able to explode both TNTs, but it didn’t clear all the pigs … after a hundred tries. Nice shot.
trying to catch up on the busy day, so sorry I haven’t checked the comments above if my strat has been used, but I figure it somewhere up above. I send the Orange bird with a high arc to the pig on the snow ledge. The Orange bird triggered down the gap and everything when BOOM! Got me a one birdy and a score of 148500.
Here is my video.
@e-star, Have you tried replicating the shot? I’ve been at it for the better part of 2 hours now and I’ve had the Bird come down at all different angles, including the one in your video, but, no cigar. Could it be a fluke?
Nope, I haven’t… landed myself in the top 10, so why bother right now. I still need to up 1-4 and 1-5 big time, so I was concentration on those after I had the lucky shot… sorry to hear the flinging gods aren’t with you today… hope you will get the shot soon!
@e-star, I gotta tell ya, Rovio is “not” helping today, I just got another of “your” 1-Birders and this one was for just over 121k. You happen to have any enchanted cologne I can borrow?
@WereWolf69 I 1-birded this using @e-star‘s very different strat a few times, mostly getting scores of 120,000 and less, except one time I had an annihilation blast that left one wood square and a short piece of wood and some snow in the lower gap. It gave me a 143,120 score which was less than I thought I’d get for all the destruction, but it is 6K more than the other methods.
Nice strat E-star. How do you think of them?
@e-star, you can relax, it wasn’t a fluke, I did it but the score I got was almost 10k below what I have.
Now granted I had to work all day and only recently got started on this level but 250 resets goes by pretty quickly if you know what I mean!!!
I can’t believe the balancing capabilities of these swines..which by the way I believe passed on the Swine-flu to me that I am FINALLY getting over ;-)
I have only managed ONE score over 140k which thankfully was also above average which took two birds ofcourse. Nevermind the “elusive” one birdie! I’ve even had many desperant attempts at some three birdies, lol…This is one tough level to get good scores on for sure ;-)
I ended up with my one decent score by sending first one over the right side of the pig on the BIONIC ice bank which crashed through one of the bottom right vertical wooden planks and landed nicely in the pocket.
Then I sent the second one in at the bottom left like @sal9 got his most awesome one birdie…Kudos to you my friend…quite impressive!!!
Ooh @lesleyg i worked also..got my score on a half hour lunch break..no idea how..now seems piggies and Rovio messing with me..no matter what great shot i make Murphy’s law ..whatever can go wrong with next shot, ,will o wrong, i even had pig in a box land on platform under slingshot …wwaahhh !!!!!! Hope your strat helps :)
@Kathy I tried it a few more times before I head over to the next one and Finally got it!! Whew this one I’ve been working on since Before my gig!! Took Forever!! Onward I go!! :)
Well, I can’t give you any hints on how to get the 1-birdy using Sal’s strat, but I can give you a few clues on how to get the bird into that narrow gap above the left ice.
I play on an iPad, and it may make a difference if you play on something else. You also may need really sharp eyes or a magnifying glass if your screen is small.
This is on an iPad, fully zoomed in
Just to the left and slightly above the OB in the slingshot is a bright 5-pointed star.
OB has a red feather sticking out right from his head. Also the tip of his beak is black.
The red feather needs to be just above the star, and the black tip of his beak need to be just visible on the star, on the upper right point. I actually thought it was another feather.
Good luck
I can add tips for the iPhone, which appears to have the star located slightly farther away from the sling than the iPad. I line up the sling so that the top edge of the strap lines up with the right side point of that same star. I wouldn’t have found the difference except that my son was playing the level with my last night, he on the iPad, me on the phone, and we couldn’t describe the shot very well witht the difference in landmarks.
To 1-bird it here is the only way to get anything beyond 150k points, and despite I’ve been trying that all day, the best I could pull off is 2-bird deal.
If you want to get that 1-bird deal, you’d rather save up your luck for lottery instead.
It’s not a little luck you’d need, you need a ton of luck, or being nice for a full year so Santa would grant you such, or whatever equivalent…
Have to agree, having achieved the 1 bird shot twice after several hours of play, both times the score was less than my 2 bird shot! I hate (with a passion)these luck shots as I’m not a ‘lucky’ person. Grrr……
Luck is definitely the key factor. I 1-birded for 152,890 with the low shot through the two vertical planks. You need a fast roll to the vertical stone block then just wait. The quicker you get to the stone block, the more of the left structure falls BEFORE the OB inflates on its own. Took several tries before the pesky pig on the top snow block popped.
I’m gonna stick to 144k I guess… Tried working on the 1 bird shot all day! Argh!
still trying to improve my 2 bird, 144,550 shot that happened early on. ive gotten a 1 birder 3 times, 2ce sliding below and 1ce going thru the snow on the right from above: none of those were higher scores than the 2 birders. still tryin!!!
Well I just can’t figure this out or I’m just not that lucky. I’ve come tantalizingly close to the average and also to a one-bird solution but after quite a long time playing I’ still coming up short.
OK, like wow, did that take forever to get an above average score. Winter Wonderham is definitely one of the more challenging episodes out there.
Alright I said I was holding back my Whine but unfortunately 2 days of flinging, I’ve even put an arrow on my screen to line up OB and i can make the shot underneath 95% of the time ,Once just, Once in what must be 1000 flings i got a one birder for 133k sorry it’s time
WWwwwwwHhhhiiiiinnnneeeee
Didn’t help, moving on.. I’ll be back!
Lol And now I’m back!! Almost a year later !! And going to try the WwwwHhhhiiiinnnneeee once again!!?
And that worked!! Somewhat!! I’ll still be back ?
i used a two-birder
similar like the first walkthrough-video
first bird activate, after the bird break the middle wood
second hit the tnt on right side
here a video with 153k:
https://youtu.be/ppv9Eh7YDwk
Great flinging @comex666! Thanks for the video.
@sweetp see above for his puppy. (HollyDog?)
Hope to get your strat to work for me before the deadline.
146620/2
Cleared the left with bird 1 going underneath and the remainder on the right with bird 2.
