Rovio posted a VERY COOL teaser video of what looks like the next episode of Angry Birds Seasons. Though the official name hasn’t been announced, based on the achievements we’ve seen in Game Center we’re guessing the name of this adventure will be, “Angry Birds Seasons Ham’o’ween” and will likely feature a new “Globe Bird”! Awesome! Everything else is still a mystery. Oh, and what’s up with the giant monster? Is that setting the stage for a “Boss Fight”? Your guess is as good as mine, so chime in and let us know what you think.
The achievements in Game Center are as follows (a big thanks to Sven for sending these):
- All Around the Globe – Unlock Globe Bird
- Lovely Bones – Break 300 bones
- Black is the New… – Break 300 black pumpkins
- Eggxorcist – Finish Ham’o’ween
- Ham’o’ween – Total Destruction: Earn three stars in all levels
- Ham’o’ween – Score Addict: Earn 2,870,000 points

It was a dark and stormy night as the Angry Birds’ newest adventure begins. The murky woods has spine-chilling creatures lurking in the shadows, but that won’t stop the Angry Birds. Updates: Rovio is continuing their tease.
- October, 19th we saw another teaser image of the new Globe Bird and Andrew Stalbow of Rovio subtly dropped a picture of it in his 2.0 Summit slideshow. He doesn’t call it by name (he does talk about the teasers though), but he says “Alongside the launch of the new bird, we’ll also create a video telling [its] backstory.” We’ve captured the first full image of the Globe Bird and included it below. - October, 17th they posted an image of what certainly appears to be a new bird joining the Angry Birds repertoire.

because it is about halloween and usually the updates come out before the festivals, so it should be out in october ?!

Not sure,but if I were a gambling man, I’d put my money on Friday, 21 Oct. (the first anniversary of AB:Halloween, which later became ABS).
Any thoughts if we will see some bug fixes with the release, if it is ABS (bight side, bunny hunter, lower threshold for SG-16 TD)?
Bright Side and SG-16 should be in this forthcoming update. Bunny Hunter would be good as well, but that’s no guarantee. (We have reported it, but I don’t think it a effecting such vast numbers. We will report again if not fixed).
hmm.. sounds sweet!! but for some reason the achievements aren’t appearing on my ipod yet..Anyone else with the same thing?

Sweeeet, but how did you get the information of those achivements? :D I mean it doesn’t matter but where?
They appear in the Sandbox Mode of GameCenter.
Sandbox mode? Is that a jail broken thing? Or is everyone able to access this?
Nothing to do with jailbreaking. It’s “Developers’ Mode” — a way to preview and test achievements before going live.
How would I get to this?
You would have to develop your own app (and ask Apple)….

That new bird is probably globe bird. And they are releasing this before finishing releasing all of Rio? There’s one more update after airfield chase if I’m not mistaken.

Yes, we assume the orange bird is the Globe Bird. This episode should be released in October, while the sixth episode of Rio was originally slated for November.

Where did the name “globe bird” come from? Does it mean globe as in round or or globe as in the earth.
Unclear. My guess is the former. We will have to wait for either more teaser images, or the actual release.

I think it is An bird that looks like an orange blue bird,and spits into 3 tiny bomb birds.
Guys, the achievements say “UNLOCK” Globe Bird, so maybe that means we’ll have to cough up $0.99 for it, like the Eagle, and it’ll only be available on iOS. Just a guess…
I don’t think so. All the other achievements say “Unlock Blue Bird”, etc.

I think the images being used in the flash demo were moreso pulling images from new games — such as the Volcano in the background coming from the fazer app.

So any ideas on this birds potential power/ability? I think since he appears to be orange, he must be a flaming bird! When you touch the screen he engulfes in flames and burns any wood that the fire comes in contact with. It would make since because of jack o lanterns, Halloween you know what I mean.

I think that they should do that for the red bird. Because he could get so angry that he lights on fire! That would make him more useful.

I think globe means light….maybe this Halloween episode will be dark & globe bird will light the level up so you can see where to aim the other birds…..just an idea……also out of curiosity, what is sandbox mode on the gamecentre??

Maybe on the teaser trailer, the three blue birds saw a gaint thing on the forest, and I think that the globe bird cause it lights
I think the “glowing” idea may be on to something. If you re-watch the clip the thing drops into the candy bucket & as they look in there seems to be a glowing/light that’s directed to at them.

I think that the glowing orange sun which is moving and the birds taking it for a monster is a clue. The sun is the new bird!
