Angry Birds Rio Timber Tumble Walkthrough Level #20

Our strategy for Timber Tumble Level #20 is to first break through the leftmost wooden planks with a Yellow bird, then bomb the mini TNT nearby with a White bird. Make sure the White bird’s ricochet dislodges the small piece of the structure above the TNT. Fling the Yellow bird through the middle of the structure, eventually detonating the TNT and pushing most of the structure off the right side of the platform. Finish off by detonating the bountiful TNT in the middle with a Boomerang bird. The score in the video below is 359,600.

Thanks for the video @amslimfordy. I had a similar strategy for 350k, but I fired one level up with the third bird. Took out the the entire right section but didn’t open up the backside for the boomer shot.

Awesome @dmsral !!! I’ve done a combo of things that have worked (kinda) — AFTER abuncha flinging :) … tho NOT consistently (or as high scoring as you) :-). Everyone has been exceptionally helpful — & the overall “Nest” folks are a true treasure! And, thanks to you, too, @amslimfordy . Say, I’ve been a ‘fan’ of yours forever, it seems :). Thanks so much for everthing! Health adventures have put me far behind with a lot of AB things (arg)! I am very sorry to bother you with an idiotic Q; but, Where / To Whom does the ‘caged membership’ $ go? I’m pretty sure I don’t care; but, would like to help support you & the folk(s) who manage ABN & the site & are incredibly kind …. & would be happy to ‘join’ (& pay – including retroactively; e.g. for 2013 & ’14) – as well as pay ‘dues’ for 2015 & prepay for 2016 & ’17. Well I very rarely get to post a strategy! But as always I was trying for 3 stars on my own before coming in here! Ok yellow bird between first two structures, this will trigger the TNT and the left cart will go off. White bird head down to bomb platform to go up through almost horizontal bar attached to vertical concrete post. next yellow thru tow thin angled bars above the two monkeys and the TNT, when lucky this goes through to detonate the tiny right hand TNT and takes the right hand cart plus all the top part of the middle structure off the edge.
Boomerang bird I fluffed the shot! First big bird to break top of remaining base structure – bomb bird to blow the TNT and one bird left! Having said all that I see that I am still 14,820 below top score! Oh well back to the drawing board!

@myselfiandme can you eelaborate on exactly what you did? How many birds did you use where did you fling them? I’m sorry this level is sad for me I haven’t even got 3stars using both video and @mumsie42 strat:( I’m desparate lol

I do the first shot like @mumsie42. The first shot is a little harder (until you get your aim figured out), but the second shot is simpler with the cart gone. New high score for now.

Another way to shoot yellow is on a very high arc coming down between the front vehicle and the main structure. He will tumble all the way down and trigger the TNT sending the left vehicle off the edge. This leaves the structure wide open for the next shot.

So @mumsie used 6 birds and still made 3 stars. .I am using 3 birds exactly like video and only can get 2 stars :( I give up..

Hmmm, I was using the same approach until I came here and saw the video. It does make the second shot easier but I was frustrated with inconsistency with which remains of the second shot would bounce fortuitously and fall off the tree. The video strategy solved this problem for me. They’re both good methods though (362K with MumsieStrat and 365K with video approach) and in the grand scheme of things, the score depends on how many points are racked up by the debris that’s fallen down to the ground. And, of course, how well you aim the boomerang bird — the quality of that explosion makes quite a difference. The boomer shot is the hardest of all for me.

@fenikus I don’t know where the difference in score comes from. With @mumsie strat (AND the structure tumbling down after mathilda) I get 6k more than with the video method. Anyway, my current score is with @mumsie strat. Thanks for that

The top score moment has passed @HunnyBunny. You’re right about @Mumsie’s strategy being better. I could barely get 148k on the first two shots using the walkthrough video approach. I got numerous 155k’s using the Mumsie Method. Thanks Mumsie. It also doesn’t hurt to find the sweet spot for shot number four. Lot’s of point differential in how that contraption goes over the ledge.

I think I almost had a 3-birder with @mumsie42 when the 2nd shot also took out the 2 marmosets & TNT in the middle, but sadly, YB didn’t go thru wood to set off the right TNT. Maybe someone can benefit from this:

3 birds as mumsie said. 3rd bird resulted in top of middle structure fell left and flipped to detonate tnt. 4 birds left.

I just got a 3 bird clear using basically the same strategy as posted by @mumsie42 . This resulted in a score of 374,280 points.
The first bird was sent upwards , at an angle, to come down between the first two towers, WITHOUT using the birds power. This took out the left side.
The second bird was sent on a slight upward angle, to go under the second tower. This sent the tower down & to the left, off the ledge.
The third bird is where things took off. I fired the yellow bird straight across into the two wood supports in the middle of the center structure. The weight fell onto the detonator, releasing the entire right structure, which rolled off the right ledge. Then the screen shook & a piece of debris came from off-screen on the right hand side taking out the TNT in the bottom of the center structure. There were only a few pieces of debris leftover, and 4 unused birds.
The points were still going up when the level closed out.
